Born with a unique upbringing, Tsuyoshi Toudo, a boy who cannot understand the hearts of others. Betrayed by his friends, Tsuyoshi decides to protect himself with his special power. That power—’Reset’—allows him to erase all emotions towards those girls. However, Hanazono Hana, a childhood friend who realizes she was ‘reset’ by Tsuyoshi due to a lie she told to hide her embarrassment, reflects on her inability to be honest, and starts approaching Tsuyoshi to rebuild their relationship from scratch. It’s a story of an awkward boy aspiring for ‘normalcy,’ regaining his youth by ‘starting over’ with the girls.

So, you know how in normal harem romcoms the guy is always pushed around by the girl side characters? How it's to the point of basically bullying? This guy just... doesn't let that happen. He gets hurt by highschoolers being highschoolers and he just drops them. And it's refreshing. He knows his own worth. He knows in their eyes he's average on all accounts, just a guy that is 'convenient' for the side characters to use. So when they say or do stuff that hurts him, he cuts them off.

For... more>> the cliche genre this is refreshing, and I dare say healthy. MC isn't a sandbag to be abused. <<less

It can be a bit annoying at the start, but I think it was around c4-c6 that it got better. MC started to have actual character development.

It's easy to tug at my heartstrings, I feel for the character. But I easily get annoyed by different characters who can't express themselves properly especially if it's multiple times in a row. That's what I got annoyed on at the start

First, the childhood friend chapter 1, chapter 2 was someone getting tutored, chapter 3 or 4 was the kouhai? They piled up a... more>> lot of misunderstandings and it was in a row so that ticked me off. But I'm easy to please anyway as long as they did it just fine, I'm giving it a 5* due to how the MC is rn. He just started to move forward as well as another character (not specifying which to avoid spoilers). <<less

This is a goated novel.

This novel explores concept of what if you can just delete all bad feelings that are caused by people and how would that affect them? It's a really good story because someone that is really close to the MC is a tsundere and this event impacts her quite a bit. So much so that she actually has like low-key trauma and immediately tries to suppress her tsundere urges because she can't afford to mess up anymore if she really wants to get together with her beloved... more>> childhood friend (MC).

There are some other girls that have moments similar to typical betrayal novels (they were sh*t to the MC but then regret it later, nothing too special) but the tsundere stands out the most to me. The other heroines are just extras in my opinion or perhaps the author will dedicate some background later. One (classmate) was just bad and the other (junior) was slightly justified. Then there is this gal who was just nice to the MC all the time and I really hope the author doesn't make her become sh*t to him as well because she's like the last person MC has actually feelings for her.

EDIT

Spoiler

She didn't become sh*t but MC did wipe his memories of her because of 'plot.' She didn't betray him or anything though like the other girls. Vol2 has Hanazono on the cover but Tanaka might the main focus of it. MC is also very OP in the latter parts of the novel, like unrealistically OP.

I find it very interesting. The MC who Ability to Erase and Reset any and all memories, feelings, and emotions he has on The Chicks who messed with Him. And His Childhood Friend Chick who made a blunder and got Reset. Now She has to start from square one in order to gain back His affections while He discards those who He sees as opportunistic and toxic to be dealing with. Will He regain His feeelings for Her? We just have to wait and keep watching how all of this... more>> interesting story unfolds. <<less

I really like this story, but at the same time what the MC is doing is not a good thing to be doing.

He seems to believe that he has a power to reset his emotions, that is yet to be determined... He is so far depressed that it seems like everything is a one strike and you are out. Both of the two heroines who have been reset have done horrible sh*t to the MC from an emotional standpoint.

Though I think the childhood friend is less bad than the second.

I... more>> am curious how the third heroine is going to betray the MC...

====

Update as of ch 17

Story remains good. MC has come around to the downside of resetting his emotions. I hope we are past the betrayals in the story. The heroines who betrayed seem to have circumstances, but they are forced to confront the negative things they did to the MC and then rebuild from scratch. This makes for a much better redemption arc in my opinion. <<less
