i like the story, but I like it as much as I like men. And thats not much.

Ill first list cons then pros.

Cons

... more>> 1) too much loopholes that contradict eachother. They say the female lead is a sociopath 1 second and then shes this completely normal women who just has a deadpan face when dealing with harassment. Its not making sense, if ure a sociopath who is sadistic why are you behaving like the average women? So intuned with your emotions?

2) they say she did gymnastics and she was amazing at it blah blah. But only brings its up when theyre discussing her past. They dont even give us hints or anything, like during the training arc, they dont bother making her better at others in flexibility parts of training. She just doing average. Like yay ig? Whats the point of telling us she did gymnastics if your not ganna use than info later. Like that, they give us a bunch of info they never use later in the novel.

3) girl is way to complacent with the mls mocking of her husband. If your so obsessed with you husband etc and you treat other men coldly, why is the ML an exception? Girl.

4) she trusts the ML wayyy to much, and is surprisingly naive? She yaps her plans off to him, even tho he treats her like meat bro. But we must take it at face vakue that shes not holding grudges against him since shes sooooo focused on finding her husband..

5) she manages to do terrorist acts and still gets off scott free by a mircale and DOESNT NOTICE IT. Like if I kidnapped someone from a big corporation, tortured them, and then released then after. And nothing happened?@ I would be scared, cuz wdym theyre not holding grudges. Even if

Love the way how the story unfolds.

FL is a total baddie. Both FL and ML are psychos tho, look at the title.

Her obsessive and competitive nature is really impressive.

As a wife who is obsessed with her husband, I enjoyed the novel a little extra.

  1. Wow let me just say this is actually good story. I love how the MC transitions from a blind and cowardly woman (not really true, the story just frames her like this, when in reality she's always been strong, just led her guard down with ml) to this badass gritty woman with a need for revenge, though she's a bit sadistic. Her ideal revenge is both hurting and making love to the ml. Also, despite the smut tag, the story doesn't generally focus on it with only the beginning and the latest chapters having any sense of it, (romantic tension is crazy though) but rather on the whole has a focus on the thriller and action section of the novel, documenting her rise from a cold hearted cleaner, to a brave agent. She also isn't overpowered, as even when she has her victories (obviously she is the mc) she still struggles profusely, plus she has to prove herself to her fellow coworkers, who criticise her for the simple act of being a woman. Their shocked expressions when they see her competency, lightened my day up. All in all if you want a strong female lead with an agenda, who has to struggle to make her way through to fulfil her goal (ironically she already has, she just doesn't know about it due to her past blindness) and a psychotic double agent male lead, same man who seems to refuse the fact he genuinely loved her, who comes to realise his past wife's shocking behaviour and her many talents, having to now get rid of his stigmatised view of her as a 'helpless housewife' but rather a 'ruthless, cold woman who obviously still has a small caring side' well then this is the novel for you. She isn't the most intelligent though mind you, her obsession makes her come off as brash at times.

    edit = this story is more of a 4/5 story now. It was dragged on with the husband reveal being chapter 138. Still good though and it's better after then. On chapter 199 now

This story is phenomenal if you like a badass heroine who is willing to do anything to see her husband who actually is her instructor and a secret agent in disguise. The ML is cruel and right now does not seem to be in love with the FL. But it is written in such a beautiful way that every chapter leaves you wanting more and makes you root for our FL. The characters are bit morally gray and that's what makes them even more relatable. The author also has another... more>> story "The flowers are bait" which is also amazing. Lastly I want to thank Lunar Letters team for providing us readers an opportunity to read such an awesome story. <<less

Did you see the cover? So dramatic. Of course I need to read it.

Trigger warning: they mentioned isra*hell army twice (yes I count, free Palestine). Should've give it a 3 ish star for this (I missed clicked it on my phone, why cant I change it).

When you see possessive tag you'd think "oh, is it the same old borderline psychopath male lead?". Yes, but no. The FL is also like that. Tag says clever protagonist, i'd agree with ML and said no, she's s*upid actually. You know someone have... more>> the power to blind you temporarily for two years and gone, just like that, no trace at all, yet you won't let go? s*upid behavior. But again, fiction everyone. I like being s*upid (and daring) in fiction. FL goes extra miles, just to chase a ghost.

Downside, I'm pretty sure it's the same "I've met them in the past / FL is the one I'm looking for all this time that's why I endure this harsh reality" trope, so no they're not strangers. They just don't recognize each other.

Goodside, I haven't been in any physical and mental training for being a frontline security type of thingy but everything they've been through those 10 weeks sounds legit (besides the interrogation part.... right?). You can feel the hardship, the action carried this all the way. Good overall. <<less

from the get-go, the cover and description piqued my curiosity, so I added it to my tbr list. Then, I unknowingly came across the manhwa and realized it was the adaptation of the novel shortly after catching up with the manhwa releases. It was so good, I couldn't help but read the novel to quench my thirst for more. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! This novel has become one of my favorites for sure. I like how ... more>>

they didn't skip her training arc. Personally, I'm a shounen genre lover, so that really hit the spot. She's not some hidden op, strong FMC from the start. She has potential and finds any opportunity to grow. I like how the ML balances out the FL. Though he's rough, he supports her in his own way, even if she might not see it at times.

I am deceived by high rates. I admit. At first, I was so excited to read the chapters of Manhwa. Art was average but expressive. Anyways... I thought this was going to turn into a mystery-romance with sarcastic ML agent and obsessed, decisive and willfull FL who will find their husband. But NO. As I turned the pages, I get disappointed... The criminal scenes, the jargons used in medic and company are written well and it's so obvious author researched before or had experiences with those type of things. But..... more>> as I read, I realize this is no different from a fantasy story where our FL is actually quite dumb and her obsession leads her to be a brainless woman and being pushed by her secret husband, but she is not giving up, he pushes, she is drawn like magnet.. the plot's core was this. The story is about this, of course, I am aware! But I didn't expect a cliche story where author writes well written scenes just to make ML f*ck her, she is being like "im enduring this humiliation" because of my husband" but also "she is obsessed with him because he brought happiness in her life.." it's quite dumb for real life and she is a hypocrite given to her character and plot she is imbued in. No woman like her wouldn't go to such harsh lengths, even if they would, they "couldn't".. those agents in real life also so hard to contact, especially for a civil like her. I couldn't understand authors intentions about FL at all. The ML also turned into your typical cold K-drama husband who mocks her, ironically mocks her "husband"-which is author's weird and teensy sense of romance out there. Just looking back at novel, I realize it's just a "fleshed out" Wattpad story of a teen girl/boy with their 3 am fantasies. At first glance, it looked an awesome story with mentally obsessed and doubting FL with tension, and a husband who tries to defy her. But it is just he mocks her, she unrealistically chases after him, being a hypocrite, their character depth lacks and just stuck to this core until the very end. <<less

From what I’ve read so far, the story’s been unfolding super well. It’s got a lot of those classic (but good, don’t get me wrong!) spy tropes—espionage, manipulation, a web of lies, the whole duty vs love struggle—but what really spices it up is the FL. The author takes all the crap that’s usually thrown at women (like being unhinged, unstable, obsessive, bitter, you name it) and flips it to show resilience, and how love and revenge can totally blur into one thing.

That part where they talk about how instead... more>> of just living a peaceful, happy life as revenge, what she really wants is for him to suffer too—like she did—is *chef’s kiss*. It hit especially hard ‘cause it reminded me of something someone once said after a one-sided breakup: “Everyone tells you how to move on, but no one tells you what to do with the love that’s left behind (when the other person doesn’t feel it anymore).”

Anyway, it’s a great story about what happens when you take that leftover love and push it to the absolute limit.

That said, you’ll notice the people complaining aren’t mad about the actual story (like, it’s poorly written, flat characters, confusing, etc). They’re just salty because it didn’t go the way *they* wanted it to. And to those folks, I say: go write your own damn story. <<less
