While I do like this, there are some issues. But summary sesh first.

So after like six years, MC and his buds finally take over the unorthodox sect with his main goal of unifying the world. Then we have FL who's the "lord" of the Northern Sky Clan, though she doesn't really have much power. MC and his crew decides that taking over the Northern Sky Clan first will be the best choice, and fl, trying to do a last ditch effort to gain sum power over the elders in the... more>> clan, chooses to host a martial arts tournament where the winner gets to marry her. FL is like the most beautiful existence known to mankind btw, so naturally a lot of people participate. MC also partakes in the tournament, and after some dragged out chapters, they get married. So just a story about MC getting stronger, finding out the secrets of the world and his newfound techs, and our couple getting closer.

Pros:

• His main friends/surbordinates are goated. They hype MC up, tell MC what to do either in relationship or against the ops, and they push MC forward. Overall, they're the goat and the foundation of the series. They help MC with pretty much everything throughout the novel. It's nice seeing their personalities shine thru and how much they trust and follow the MC.
• I like the romance between our main couple too. It's not like they instantly fall in love with each other. They do do so gradually. FL found MC annoying for like the first 45 chaps or sum. It's both their first time falling in love, so they're both pretty bad at these things, thankfully our goats always gives MC advice. They did the reveal of MC being the leader of unorthodox sect very nicely, how FL and MC reacted were both normal and not outta left field.
• MC making all the arrogant and annoying peps get what they deserve. Always nice seeing those moments happen.

Cons

• While the characters are great, the writing itself, mostly in the political sense and whatnot aint that good. They make the murim alliance leader believe MC so easily, and he's suppose to be like this old wise sage-like character who has a lotta experience. Author-nim gets very lazy when it's moments like these. While these things don't take away from my enjoyment that much, it does for a lotta others.
• This novel also has one of those "mysterious training place where time is slowed down by hundreds of ratios". Seven days passed and 47 years passed in that place. While MC did get a lot stronger, he didn't get as strong as you'd think, especially since how long he stayed in there and how fast he got stronger in the real world.
• The beginning is pretty dragged out too, especially the tournament, that sht took forever.

So, if the cons I listed aren't something you care a lot about along with some others I didn't mention, have fun with this mix of murim and romance. <<less

Its good and its disappointing at the same time. Main character and his friends seem relatively interesting, and their path to world domination could be legit fun to watch. Certain sentences gives the black wind troupe vibe from other stories (unorthodox group with supreme skill but wasnt evil)..... and then you slowly realize its not really a martial arts story? its a hybrid romance. I'm not sure how things are going to go, but its leaning towards a romance with martial arts story as the setting..... instead of a martial... more>> arts story with a romance in it.

also... I could be wrong but orthodox tournaments are supposed to be nonlethal where mistakes happen..... and yet no one seems to give a crap when our MC kills his opponents in the ring. orthodox guys get a bad name for bein pretentious and self righteous, they strut around showing off, act better then you, but they can get killed by street tr*sh cause they dont normally fight to the death... but no one cares in this story when multiple famous orthodox types die... <<less
