I’m not sure why this novel has such low ratings. Although the translation is hard to understand, it’s somewhat manageable. The plot seems promising and there is definitely some mystery underway in the beginning. Protagonist is clever and perhaps slightly apathetic at a young age from what I can see, most likely given the way he was raised.
