TL;DR: A novel with so many flaws so quickly that I'm thankful it got dropped.

(By the way, the reason I only have 4 chapters read is because you have to pay for the remaining.)

There are no positives so I will only be listing the critiques.

... more>> First of all, pacing! I almost never comment on pacing in my reviews but it is so repulsive in this novel. The plot seems to be so rushed, rushed, rushed.

We learn literally nothing about the main character, not his background, his personality, or even the world he lives in, before getting thrown into the deep end. There needs to be time to foster a connection between the main character and the readers clearly, because I didn't care about the main character whatsoever at that point. No matter the situation or danger he was in, I wouldn't care. That makes the novel automatically a snooze.

Second of all, a s*upid author who wants to write a smart main character. He attempts to do this in two ways. He first makes the main character make grand and ridiculous assumptions that have absolutely zero evidence and just get treated as correct.

For example, he seemingly gets put into a new world with some other people. One of those people asks if this is a place where only their consciousness was put into, with their bodies left in their original place. The main character refutes this, saying they are actually there in their real bodies.

How does he know that? He doesn't. He has no evidence for that and simply says it. Everyone praises him as intelligent for saying this, despite that.

This is where the author's second strategy comes in: making every single character beyond s*upid. Mental illness or learning disabilities would not explain the level of s*upidity displayed by every single character in this novel. Their brains have no purpose besides regurgitating MC's words and praising him for them. For example, one of them forgot that people need to eat, just so the main character could say, "Actually we need food!"

This novel isn't even worth the effort of formatting the rest, honestly. The characters are flat, the plot is unengaging, along with every other flaw you could imagine.

The most enjoyment I got from this novel was seeing that there were only 4 chapters available instead of the stated 10. I literally felt happy that I didn't need to read any more.

I would recommend this to nobody. Any aspiring translator, find a better novel. <<less
