Cordelia, who was sold into marriage and subjected to various humiliations, finally saw a way to escape this hell when her husband, who lacked character, manners, and intelligence, fell into a coma after an accident.

“O’ sacred star, please kill my husband.”

However, it seemed that her prayers had been answered in an unexpected way. Her husband woke up but lost all his memories. Cordelia saw this as an opportunity, but…

“Please sign here. You were eager to finalise the divorce before this, remember?”

“Heh, a divorce agreement. I’m sure you know why this upstart family welcomed you as a bride.”

There’s no way my husband was this astute! She deduced that something unimaginable must have entered his body. He was presumed dead; it’s a chance she won’t get again.

“Don’t you think your personal circumstances and ‘just divorced’ are incompatible given the circumstances?”

She threatened, putting her life on the line. She desired to learn magic from the great wizard and use it to secure a better life after her divorce. But she made a mistake, and that was underestimating her opponent’s temper.

“As my student, you should study and only sleep three hours a day.”

“Read five theses together, and you’ll be done in no time.”

in worlds of magic, gods, and fantasy, isn't it weird that all of those MLs who were clever and conniving and observant never even guessed that their ever-hated wife had been replaced with what is clearly a different person? In a refreshing twist, this author leaned into that premise -- the FL's dreadful husband is replaced by another man and she realizes it like immediately LMAO. No regression or transmigration on her part, she's just smart.

FL and ML (replacement man) don't fall in love immediately, and they're reasonably skeptical of... more>> each other and manipulative as anyone would be in their (precarious) positions. But they're still each other's only real allies, so they have this interesting back-and-forth dynamic.

also kudos to the translator, they're doing a great job! <<less

First, about the translation, it's excellent - usually there's an occasional error or clunkiness that makes you think "oh, right, I guess the translator struggled here" but so far not with this one. On the downside, it says the translation is still ongoing, but it hasn't be been touched for several months, which is a crying shame.

It's such a shame because as well as the translation being very good, the story matches it for quality. So the premise is that her husband was in a coma for five months, woke... more>> up, but it isn't him in possession of his body but someone else. She immediately suspects this after a change of attitude by her amnesiac husband and one other clue. It's a big jump but not one without logic behind it. Refreshingly, he hasn't isekaied in, he's from the same country he's just been forced out of his own body (for now?). Her "new husband" is an irascible picky bastard but that still makes him multiple times better than the one she had, since he's treated her like dirt from the day she married him. So far there's no romance but that's good, since within the context it would be unrealistic right now. Anything more I could say, I guess would go more deeply into spoiler territory so I'll leave it there.

It's well told, the world building is fine so far (if not detailed; we've only got 13 short chapters, after all) and the characters are believable. So far I really like it and I hope the translator picks it up again soon. <<less
