It's a very funny (rather) short story. I really don't understand why the rating is so low.

A possible bad point: as in many Chinese novels involving misunderstandings, it was exaggerated and could have been solved sooner if they talked more. But it wasn't completely absurd either and you can understand from the description and the tags that the narrators will overlook certain clues.

The cross-dressing tag might not be quite appropriate. It does happen, but it isn't crucial to the story and neither character is interested in it.

Another possible bad point... more>> (not in my opinion though) : there are no names. It's very convenient since the story is short. You can't be that bothered that you'll give it a one star rating, right?

No explicit smexy scenes. Despite this fact, the story didn't feel incomplete, at least not to me.

I had a good time reading it and would definitely recommend it. <<less

Cute. Reminds me of ISMM (I ship my adversary x me) where it's a drabble in MC's PoV and ML's POV. Misunderstandings that aren't angsty. And if you enjoy brainless airhead daydreamer MC, it's a good break from all the tiring angsty danmei you see around.

Hahahha. I should've read this earlier! This is novel based on first person POV. But it not like japan first person POV type. But this is more funny, simple and easy to understand without thinking it boring. The best thing is there no name in this novel. Only character of me and my boyfriend. Surprisingly it was totally good and funny as hell. If you like misunderstanding type like "everyone think I like him" or "love stop rumor" you would love this!

This is one of those ones that you will either love and find hilarious, or you will be annoyed by how drawn out the misunderstanding is. I am in the middle, but more on the annoyed side. The MC and the ML are dense. Very, very dense.

The way it's written is different, but interesting. It is not a writing style I have read much.

The level of misunderstanding is astonishing. How you can be dating and live together for a year and never discuss things or just ignore problems for that... more>> long is frustrating.

The MC talks so much in his head. I can just imagine him sitting with his head tilted, ignoring what is happening around him because he is still thinking about what you said 20 minutes ago and has continued the conversation in his head, no longer needing anyone else's input.

It was over 40 chapters before they spoke about it. By chapter 20, I was getting annoyed. I think it would have been funny if it hadn't been drawn out so long. But it just felt draggy and the joke went from dense comedic couple to seriously? You are both intelligent people. Come on already.

49 chapters from the MC perspective.

19 chapters from the ML perspective.

15 chapters of after everything was sorted.

The translator did a wonderful job.

Nice fun short read. Don't let the 83 chapters fool you! Each chapter is literally one to three paragraphs each. One was even just one sentence lol. I easily read this in a hour, so if your looking for something short and sweet this is for you.

after you read the boyfriend's pov. I kinda felt he was way too smart to let this misunderstanding go on for so long. The MC is understandable and hilarious because he is such a horrible narrator. Reading it from the bfs pov kinda gave the feeling of completing the true route of a video game, but having it try to fit in to the narrative of the original. If that makes sense. What I mean is that the author thought of the bfs true personally and the MC side of the story before the truth. Because of this when the author wrote the bfs pov it was just not believable, especially given his true personally. I think the author should have suck with the bfs original personality that was shown in the MC pov. I just find it hard to believe the someone as bold as the boyfriend would really not make a move or say something.

Really, really cute.

PLOT

The story is basically set upon an extremely hilarious misunderstanding. MC and ML suspects that the other has ED. Safe to say, the entirety of the plot was a wild, hilarious ride.

First things first, this misunderstanding literally cause zero angst so I don't get what's so frustrating about it. Also, the amount of comedy that arose due to the misunderstanding is too hilarious to be frustrating.

CHARACTERIZATION

There's not much characterization to be explored here, as the novel is honestly quite short. However, I can honestly say that I really enjoyed MC silly personality. He's so s*upid I just want to squish him. So cute.

STYLE

Even though it is listed as 83 chapters, the truth is this novel is actually really short. There's barely two paragraph in each chapter and I finished reading everything in 2 hours.

Comedic undertones style is one of my vices, and this novel really delivers. As it is really short, the pacing was quick too.

CONCLUSION

Really recommended. Read it when you are feeling tired and stressed and just want to have a generally good time <<less

Auto 5⭐ to those novels who let me wheeze from laughter at 5am.

I totally enjoyed the comedy of this short story! The only downside of this is this is just too short! I know the misunderstandings are unreasonable and unrealistic but it is so funny!

Totally recommend! Best if you read this again after some time had passed or read this if you're having a bad time.

Every chapter is a short narrative about their own Point of View within their relationship, that's why there are misunderstandings.

Although it's like that, rest assured. The entire way, you'll feel like you're being fed with crack.

If you have nothing else to do with life, maybe you can try this one out. It's short, doesn't cost much time in your life, but still worth the fun. | ᐕ) ⁾⁾

This isn't so much a short novel as short chapters. The MC is so dense and the boyfriend is just as dense. I was laughing the whole time I was reading it.

Humorous, great translation!

Though an issue with the story is that both characters are pretty unoriginal BL characters (for example, the 'top' with temper/physical strength, the 'bottom/MC's' innocent cluelessness), the antics and misunderstandings are hilarious and make up for the cliches.

At first I thought it was another one of those "I thought we were boyfriends, but you thought we were roommates" stories, but it's not. Hahaha

Chaotic Hilarious way of thinking MC.

At the beginning the unreliable narrator aka our MC really did made me thinking our ML was truly Frigid or at least truly a Mystery why he never seduced by our MC. But after read ML's pov, it make so much sense and more reasonable than our MC's. Lmao 🤣

Our MC is Epic Cutie with Chaotic brain.

But truly the author delivers the story is such Enjoyable Fun Hilarious Cute and Sweet. And the ending is as Lovely!

I'm ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOVING IT!!!

Cute and imaginative MC, Gentleman but not so gentlemanly ML, s*upid, ridiculous but cute as heck misunderstandings, and a short read. Didn't roll on the floor with laughter but the experience was decent.

Hahaha! Cute and funny short story. Yes, it's a short story since the chapters are super short so the whole thing might take a few hours at most to finish.

Even though it's from a first person perspective, the story flows well. It starts off with the shou's perspective and then switches to the gong's.

Shou is a private investigator with a quirky imagination. The gong is a long suffering lawyer.

Turns out they both think the other is frigid or impotent. Shou has a habit of falling asleep on the gong before anything can get started. They go to the hospital to treat the other's problem but find out the big misunderstanding during check-in. Then they make up for wasting a whole year. 😂

The misunderstandings were too much for me 🤡 I tried to suspend my disbelief but tbh this genre of romantic comedy probably just isn’t for me. I’m more of an adventure-drama-angst type person lol. But admittedly the premise of this novel is pretty clever

Short, sweet and silly story. Both were kinda dumb to have this misunderstanding go on for so long, but MC is even more s*upid. He even didn't get it when asked directly.

The chapters are super short, more like paragraphs. Story can be finished during lunch break.

Not bad. It's short and funny, but nothing special. First half's MC's PoV then the latter half was of ML's. A pair is match made in heaven, lmao. Anyway, if you're looking for a short, easy to read novel this one's for you just leave the logic aside then you're good to go. Story 8/10.

Translation: 7/10, nicely translated!

Story: This was a funny & quick read! Each chapter is super short & each half of the story is from the perspective of one of the boyfriends (1st half is detective bf's perspective & 2nd half is lawyer bf's). I was a little shocked at lawyer bf's change in personality in the parking lot when they finally cleared the air... lol, ok we know you got major blue balls but he changed into almost a completely different person, cursing & getting kinky all of a sudden. Hey, not that I mind (｡•̀ᴗ-) ✧
