1 out of 5. Classic case of good premise, ruined by one major thing

Okay, I'm not a big, "GET REVENGE. TORTURE THOSE WHO BETRAY YOU!!!!" kind of guy. But, this story is ridiculous.

the MC gets banished by Childhood friend, Disciple #1, and Friend. Gets betrayed and attacked for literal pocket cash. Gets left for dead injured on the floor during war.

... more>> And he starts to forgive them because of some teary-eyed apologies? And Disciple #2 encourages (no she actually forces) MC to not only forgive, but help them as well?

To Disciple #2, you known MC for like what? 2 months at most? Why are you deciding what's right and wrong for MC to do? Why you forcing him to do this when he doesn't (and shouldn't) want to do?

Last translated chapter spoiler (I can use the actual spoiler function, but this novel is not worth it)

Childhood friend works in the same place. MC gets mad. D#2 calms him down with joke (?). It actually works. Next day, CF gets in "trouble", calls MC very casually, MC rushes in

Remember, this is literally their first interaction since she backstabbed him. Their interaction was 5 minutes at most, and the next day, MC is willing to drop everything and rush in to save this chick

There are other things that bug me, but they would have been easily acceptable if they could've just stick the landing <<less

This novel plot is all over the place. The pace is too fast and confusing. The MC was controlled by self-righteous idiotic characters to forgive people who almost killed him. It's a mess.

The author maybe just writes whatever fly that passed their head without any thought.

This is a novel that is an unconventional combination of a lot of common tropes. The premise is that the protagonist is a martial artist that always fights dirty (hence, cowardly) but never runs away from a fight he's decided to win. He's incredibly strong, but since he uses these dirty tricks, people assume that he's weak. His party members kick him out, and he decides then on to not work anymore (although he still dedicates himself to being the strongest because of his trauma from being betrayed). He then... more>> becomes a teacher and takes on a weak pupil, who he trains to fight just like him. I like the protagonist, although his character is a little inconsistent (do you want to dedicate your life to martial arts or lie around all the time?), and the side characters, though not given too much time to develop, are pretty much fine. I think that this is a good example of the 'fired from my job and became a teacher' done well. The action is satisfying to read and the master and pupil, the only characters that really matter, are written well enough <<less
