Rong Xuan woke up and became the cannon fodder villainess who acted extreme in the novel and ended up tragically. As soon as she crosses over, she was at the scene of the engagement of the century. The original Rong Xuan tried to escape marriage by discrediting the male protagonist and could face disaster at any time.

Rong Xuan spread her hands out. Let it be. Anyway, sooner or later the male protagonist will be with the female protagonist. She’s just cannon fodder. The salted fish Rong Xuan waited for the break up, but then, one month, two months, three months…… passed by. What about the dissolution of the engagement?!

Rong Xuan: I don’t like Gu Ye.

Male protagonist: No, you like me.

Rong Xuan: When will the engagement be terminated?

Male protagonist: Not gonna happen. If you can break if off, then count that as me losing.

Later…… the male protagonist saw that Rong Xuan was gentle towards others, but was indifferent to him. He went crazy with jealousy that even his eyes turned red.

  • It really is like a summary.
  • Sweet and fluffy.
  • I like the ML. He's not the cold, r*pey type.
  • I like the FL. She respects the original owner of the body. She cares for her grandfather. Supports the ML while not letting her world revolve around him. Does not involve herself in family dramas, etc.
  • I like that the original heroine is not villainous like in other CN novels. She did not antagonize the FL, she even helped her with some issues. She's aware of the fact that other ori!FLs in this kind of novels do not realize - that the ML wouldn't be the only amazing guy in the world.
  • This may be tagged as shoujo but the main characters here are more rational than some characters in josei novels.
  • Many characters are just mentioned in passing.
  • Short, okay read that I managed to finish until the end - which is now rare in romance CN novels I encounter.

Short and sweet romance that starts with an arranged marriage. The guy falls in love first with the trope of she is not like other girls, and she eventually is won over by his courtship. Her family also sucks.

Sweet, short, and fluffy.. Not much drama.. But a rather weak plotline that had some potential to grow but the author cut it back to a bonsai.

It was... meh?

I mean, it had all the cliché elements often seen in Chinese dogblooded novels. Starting with the Mary Sue female lead with perfect looks and perfect brains with Cinderella settings and rich, domineering male lead protecting his "little bride" from winds and rains.

I still wouldn't have minded that but the execution was just bad. Especially during the last part, the author rushed a bit so, many plotholes popped up. Various unnecessary plot points were introduced just to set off the female lead halo and to show how perfect... more>> the two main leads are for each other like the variety show and e-sports subarc.

The emotional development between Rong Xuan and Gu Ye wasn't handled well either. Mostly, Rong Xuan. Even now I am confused when her feelings for Gu Ye changed.

The synopsis is also pretty misleading as there is not much emotional conflict between the two leads. Not even in a good way. As one often misunderstood the situation, and the other was a like a block of wood.

However, there were also some good elements in here. I, at least, liked the first half. I was here to see how the male lead courts the female lead, as per the description of the synopsis. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Well, at least, the OG FL wasn't shown as a b*tch.

Overall, a short, meh, bingeworthy high-school novel. Though my favorite part of it was the ending cause it finally ended! <<less

Holy hell. This author watches too many tr*shy dramas. Even if I wanted to give it 4 stars for the cool original female lead, no way after the ending. So overly dramatic out of nowhere. The writing style even dramatically changed in the last chapters out of nowhere as if I was supposed to take it seriously or give a f*ck lmao. I was laughing.

We barely got to see the MC like the ML until the very end. The scenes are sometimes interesting despite being stereotypical but the lack of... more>> showing and details is too much, too pitiful. This book is 2 steps away from being a 2d book. Even so, it's hardly a good book, but it isn't terrible either.

It just LACKS in writing Anything you would need in a good book.. I wouldn't even say it's written like an outline because I'm pretty sure there is no structure to this novel - there is no real conflict and resolution even at base level

This is a juvenile book for middle schoolers who enjoy seeing a beautiful/ handsome character succeed in life in all the cool ways possible (academically, reality tv, e sports, streaming etc) in over exaggerated ways (top articles, on fire, 3 million stream watchers, etc) without any real substance, set up, or resolution. Just the fun bits in telling writing mostly. Occasionally it provides details and dialogue and I'm like why can't you just do that for the whole novel <<less

Most of it was a nice read, the FL is a typical Mary Sue but it's alright.

A lot of good plot points (like the original FL) got glossed over really quickly, which I thought was a pity.

In all honesty, because of the ending I would like to give the novel only 3 or 2 stars, because that was ridiculously aprupt and unnessesary.

It's a HE, but come on - would it be so difficult to

Spoiler

not use the trope of car crash, coma, time skip?

Also why do we need find out in the very last few chapters that her mother was mu*dered? Like, it was anticlimatic, did not add to the story and also did not even fit the character design? Yes her father was an individualistic piece of *, but really?

The author could have just ended it with the car crash (if she so desperatly wants to incorporate that), him waking up shortly after and the FL recognizing her feelings Then skip to 5 years later where everyone was served justice. Why the dog blood? If there is no good reason for it, it adds nothing to the plot at all.

Also the ML E-Sports career got thrown away as well, another missed plot. We never heard what happend to the grandfather etc. Etc.

[collapse]

This could have been an easy to read, lighthearted novel (and it is - if you just ignore the last few chapters) <<less

It was a normal story with not so serious villains or side characters no misunderstanding literally 0 chemistry between them is okay to read there are no second leads to initiate love triangle and add drama it was good story to read without any loopholes my regret from other transmigration stories is that they end up leaving loopholes which is very frustrating and not too easy to end the reading journey of an otaku but this one was easy to read both protagonist are just right in doing what they... more>> should do no character fault in any way I understand why I rate it 4 is because of very basic and simple plot <<less
