I was thrust into an unknown world by a god and forced to save it, under the promise that if I were successful in saving the world, I’d be sent back to my home…

However, after doing the god’s bidding, I was betrayed. With no other options left, I had to escape through a dimensional rift.

“Just you wait! I’ll definitely come back!”

That’s how I… Returned as a God.

Cliche as some of the story elements are (OP protagonist, Gods not living up their end of the bargain, tower climbing, dungeons appearing in our world etc.) There's something about the way they're put together that makes me want to unravel the mystery. To the point where I'm considering learning Korean to finish it. 😅 If you're in the mood for a KR revenge action where a god gets up to some shenanigans in a mortal body. This is a good option.

Translation is good, the story itself... is a bit mediocre.

Our MC gets summoned to a typical fantasy world, and is asked to save the world in a typical fantasy fashion. As a reward, he asks to be sent back home. He completes said task, after somehow (?) becoming stronger than a god. The gods go back on their promise, he tries to go back home himself, ends up in a world of Hunters and Dungeons in typical Korean novel fashion.

The problem with this story is that it never explains things... more>> in enough explicit detail. So far it hasn’t explained HOW he became a god, if he actually IS a god, WHEN he became a god (at the beginning it was stated he was “stronger than the gods” which is different from being a god, I guess?).

The entire story just reads like I’ve missed some sort of explanation or character moment, and had me scrolling back to previous chapters, making sure I didn’t miss something.

For a hunter/dungeon novel it’s okay, and again, the translation is pretty solid, but it’s really missing critical world building and character building at times. <<less
