As the translator, my review might be biased. Sorry about that.

A classic-yet-not-so-classic tale about twisted obsessions, possessive loves, and dangerous wishes, with an ending I did not expect. The constant power struggle between Marduk and Belshazzar is what makes the story so intriguing, albeit thoroughly uncomfortable. I will go with four stars because it's well-written and the author managed to achieve what was intended, it's just missing that final kick for five stars.

This contains in*est, rough s*x, and non-con elements. Read at your own discretion.

A really interesting story that reminds me of those classic Grimm Fairytales where the happily ever after might not be how the character's expect it. I think the best way to describe this story is "monkey's paw" aka be careful for what you wish for. It's a pretty quick read, but written very well and I really liked Marduk's constant inner battle when faced with Belshazzar's desperate and brutal attempts to become his father's lover.

The in*est aspect didn't really bother me, as the messed up relationship really fit that "dark... more>> fairytale" vibe I felt from the story. However for those who want to know, it's the son who is desperately throwing himself at the father with the father being very resistant up until the son gets what he wants. I highly recommend this one for those who want a quick but darker story with a really interesting plot twist. <<less

OMMG I SHOCKED! I had goosebumps while reading the last two panels- I read a one review that the plot twist was twisted but never expected it to be like that... 😄

Spoiler

I was slightly disgusted and definitely is scared. who would have know that the father is more insane than his child.

I feel pity for his mother, wishing him to be happy. Well at some point the dad did try to make that happen. It's his child who let his dark and twisted desires to come on surface
