I enjoyed reading the novel and I really like the romance in all the arcs. The MC employs different 'seducing' strategies for each arc. However, the ending is rushed and the world-hopping bit is hastily stopped. The last arc did not even plot and felt like the author just want to get this over with.

Something really irritates me from Arc 4. The author repeatedly mentioned "Filipino maids" and "Filipino servant" which does not even hold any significance in the story. Did the author just want to be unprovokingly racist or... more>> what? The previous 3 arcs had maids too, but you don't see them being degraded into a "servant" and they even get called as "Aunt." The author could've just said "maid" without any race attached, but no - the author wanted to be very specific. It would not even affect anything in the story whether they got non-Chinese maids or not. 😚 I love the romance stories so far but this author got on my nerves ngl. If you think I am overreacting then you should read this excerpt I got from an article online.

"... They are however, paid less than local workers. Domestic helpers from the Philippines are paid a base rate of HK$4, 110 ($530) a month, below the city's minimum wage for residents, and by law are required to stay in the same house as their employers. In recent weeks, some Chinese netizens mocked Filipinos for their low-cost labor image...."

A Chinese drama Make My Heart Smile even used the line "You look like a Filipino maid" as an insult to the female character in the drama. <<less

This novel's negative points basically covered everything I don't like about Chinese culture and the way their people think. Oher than the Filipino maid thing mentioned by Nelle, there's also something about "the British food is unpalatable" said by MC somewhere around the fourth arc.

The author even wrote it like this:

"British 'food' is really famous. It's notoriously unpalatable"

Like Nelle said, the author could've chosen not to write it, but they still did anyway which meant that the author's mentality might really be like that. This disrespect towards other country is... more>> something commonly seen in C-Novel and modern-day China, even to countries they have good bilateral relationship with.

The good news is that the author knows history well, and is quite eloquent in taking the readers around the eras in each arcs. The various MLs are also a strong motivation for me to read onwards. I also like how hard MC worked to strategize around the targets, though her methods often fell into the 'white lotus' category. Later on, it became more and more tasteless as I read through, so I think that the author doesn't bother to tie it up nicely, as long as the MC reached her goal. <<less

It was quite a nice read. Because the Mac doesn’t retain her romance memories, each arc is essentially a stand alone story. MC is OP since (if I’m understanding it correctly), she had many other missions prior to her romance focused missions (which honestly I’m not sure if this is correct because she mentions that’s why she has a skill but also her “contact” is for the set amount of romance ones?? I guess this is the disadvantage of using mtl).

The other reviews give a good sense of what the... more>> story’s pros and cons are. And the summary is a great outline.

In terms of cons, sometimes I felt that certain parts of the story were more storytelling after the fact rather than me reading the story - as in a summary rather than things happening. Also, the beginning arcs were definitely strong than the later ones. I would stay the last two arcs ended quite quickly - the last part of the second to last arc didn’t feel quite finished and the very final arc was very rushed and shorter than the other ones. Additionally, I would say that I wish there was more of a continuation after MC saw ML at the end. Although it did make for an open ending.

Side note, I wonder if MC and ML are super skilled now that they remember everything and have achieved so many things in their lives in the different arcs. <<less

This was kind of boring ; Albeit I didn't read it all the way through. Idk I just can't get into it and I was so excited to read it because I like chronology stories where they go back to like the 50s and 70s. I guess I was expecting most of the stories to be like the first one with like villages and farming and going back to the city and stuff. I don't really like entertainment industry stuff. I guess I also don't really care for it because... more>> there's really no drama going on. Like no faceslapping moments so it just got a little boring. It just feels kind of drawn out to me. Idk about the other arcs, but the first arc did nothing for me. So I'm just not gonna finish it lol. Also reading the other reviews just sealed it for me as well. I hate when Chinese authors talk anything about other countries because 9/10 it's negative and/or racist. <<less

I like every arc from this novel, simple and one of the arc plot its upredictable (its story when FC got abandon from MC), I thought FC will abandon MC back, but its not. Well, for all, this novel can give you light story that can give you freshly feeling.
