I sincerely love reading how Cheng Xi's love and dedication towards Lu Chen Zhou make him come out of his "dark world". Because of Cheng Xi's patience and love, their relationship grows and gets stronger throughout the novel. 💖💖

My heart breaks too when Lu Chen Zhou decided to break up with Cheng Xi and that they're separated for a while. Nonetheless, I'm glad that their love and affection for each other bind them together in the end.

Lu Chen Zhou and Cheng Xi unequivocally complement each other well and... more>> they're a solid and loving couple. 💕💕

I have read this novel twice. I plan to reread it again in the near future. <<less

Fortunately, this story is a good one because the chapters are quite many and I never drop a story even though it's unbearably bad because I want to give a fair review. But thankfully, this story is not in that category and I really enjoy it.

Now let's talk about the characters. From my objective opinion, I really can't stand ML's behaviour. I know he has a mental problem but still it's hard for me to sympathize him. But from my objective opinion, I know that his actions are understandable and... more>> MC knows it too. And we cleary see him improving day by day and in the end he could be a loving husband and father. So I guess MC successfully cure him.

As for MC, I love her dedication to cure her patient without excessive use of medicine and anaesthesia. I especially love what she did for Chen Jiaman. But I slightly dislike her for one thing:

Spoiler

Her treatment towards 2nd ML. She carelessly confessed her love to 2nd ML without analysing her feeling first and ended up hurting him. She blamed 2nd ML because he got photographed with other woman (even though she knew that it's a set up) when she herself still has an ambiguous relationship with ML.

Fortunately, I picked this up.

And I mean it. This novel, by far, deserves a MUCH higher rating. The plot was meaningful and captivating till the very end. We see pretty much all the characters have a fair amount of character development, especially the ML. His change did not seem too sudden nor rushed, which made it feel real.

I LOVED the way the ML and the MC's relationship progressed, which wasn't abrupt nor did it drag meaninglessly. Their romance was definitely a slow burn, but the sweet moments were plentiful and... more>> they kept me squealing with delight everytime.

Moreover, I highly appreciated the portrayal of many of the mental issues and mental health in this novel. This added depth and a sense of realism to the plot. However, it was very well balanced with a touch of humor, which was very well executed.

I see alot of reviews that don't agree with the ML's behavior, which I understand can come off as hateful and overbearing. But, in his defense, he did go through a mental and emotional trauma, and was emotionally and mentally unstable. Though, in my opinion he was doing a fair job of reining in his complusions which was often highlighted in the story. I just feel that characters don't have to perfect. Families ARE pushy and nosey at times. People CAN be indecisive and confused when it comes to relationships. And people DO suffer from underlying issues. But, in my opinion, no matter the imperfections in one's character, it is most important to see these characters develop in a somewhat meaningful way by the end of the story. And this novel did just that.

Overall, this novel, for me, was a winner. For some, the prospect of 253 long chapters might seem too much of a commitment. But, let me assure you, this novel is worth it. <<less
