For the first twenty-five years of Yu Zi’s life, he lived in luxury and extravagance, with a proud and unruly personality.

I left this one aside for a while before deciding to read it then read everything in one go 😂 I think it’s a really sweet story, at times sad at others filled with the busyness of every day life. Both characters were very likable and I enjoyed seeing how they adapted to each other then helped each other grow. Very satisfying and mature SoL, I’d recommend anyone who likes this genre to give it a try!

Once in a while I come across a book which I think has been a bit unfairly treated.

This book doesn't have the most glamorous story, but it is one of those which is more real. It clearly shows the uncertainties that comes with life.

The longing and fear of the future, the heartbeats of love. How we start counting the gains and losses of those we care about.

I won't say it's a revolutionary work, but it's a very comfortable work. Very warm, after reading it you will feel like someone covered... more>> you in a warm and soft blanket when you were shivering.

It's a book about mutual redemption, one of my favourite genre.

I truly do implore people to give this book a chance. <<less

More mature slice of life with its own sweet moments.

The MC basically went bankrupt and was struggling to make ends meet. To make a living, alongside the ML, he went through ups and downs in his various business start-ups and eventually gained success.

I enjoyed reading this novel because it was realistic in a way. Although the MC was eventually able to find success in his start-up, alongside good opportunities coming by, he had to put in the hard work as well. This story was a nice change from other modern... more>> danmei I read which usually involves at least the MC/ML being incredibly wealthy.

The tension between the leads was also the cherry on top for this novel. Although the story focused on the MC's life after his bankruptcy, his relationship with the ML drove me to binge read the chapters until they got together. I think their relationship was also well written given their personalities. They were both scared of taking that risk of making their relationship official but eventually overcame their own struggles and got together.

The only downside I'd say for this novel is that I wish there were more extras or the story elaborated further

so one of the reviews here convinced me into reading this as it described the novel as realistic. And my god was it quite so. There aren't any overpowered characters here, and nothing like success in one go and so u can relate to the novel quite a bit. The background characters are theeere but I wished we got a little more story on especially on one of them. Finally, the romance, which is quite good at times however this is why my actual rating is around 4.3 (rounded it... more>> up to 5 since I don't think this novel deserves to sit at a 4) because I find it quite strange at times and oftentimes the personalites of the leads were a bit inconsistent whenever there was a conflict between them. Besides that, it's a quick sweet and angsty read! <<less

This is actually a really gd novel. The MC lost everything and in his darkest moment the ML gave him a helping hand. Through hard work and perseverance they gradually make their way back up to the top. The relationship between the 2 is very real and genuine. Good read.

Quite grounded, full of ups and downs, but paced in a way that's not overly dramatic nor contrived. It was so nice and healing to see them work hard and grow together. I wish there were more happy days extras but the main story itself already feels very much complete.

The MC has a strong character and belief despite being abandoned by his bankrupted family. The ML supported the MC and respected despite being poor. They find love in each other and it’s so sweet. It’s a good one
