So I noticed immediately in the prologue, part 1, that MC has a plan and how everything was calculated. 3rd paragraph spoiler- he needed a rat to decompose however in one day, maybe even a few minutes it's not discussed, which I don't know if MC didn't think it thru, but he said he did so. I'm slightly concern that the author will try to make MC smart which will make him strong but this slight oversight makes me question how smart our MC is. Another issue I have is... more>> where MC needs a common rat (least assumed common sincere can find it on the run) to lure a rare lizard. Normally, when animals have a lot to eat, they reproduce exponentially, so these lizards shouldn't be so rare, but they are rare? Also the author didn't say anything about these lizards being hunted to extinction.

The prose harms the story. Not the translation, but the actual raws/prose. Because the author has sentences or paragraphs read don't really make all to much sense. One paragraph is about the hunter having a high chance of kill. No, it should be, "I'll kill tonight" Like that a sentence or paragraph should be summarized in 3 words. And the characterization is established. It seems that the author looks at the large picture or scene and not the trees in the forest.

At the same time, I don't want to say that the author mistakes trees for a forest because they have a goal, to get through the forest, to make an impression on the reader. For example, prologue 2 says a line like she held her rapier at an angle to pull it out the as quick as possible. The angle doesn't matter to pull out a sword, it depends how fast you pull out the sword and push back the sheath so that they go in opposite directions. This is the quickest way to pull out a sword, no angle involved. So why did the author write it? 1) to show how street smart MC is and 2) how skilled this girl is. A goal to get thought the forest, not pass the trees. Honestly I don't entirely like the mentioning of a rapier because I think it's lazy writing but whatever. Besides for this weird writing aspect there is something else that's strikes me as weird. Normally, the author uses plot decides to show his option/hand but in this story he uses characters instead which isn't wrong; Korean novels do this also, but here it's not what the characters themselves want they want and need- nothing like in Korean novels where the MC wants and needs the plot deceive or plot whatever. The world building is very weird also as discussed at length. Overall, I don't think the author knows what they are doing. It's like they want to have some sort of wish fulfillment, but fails and it turned out to a proper novel? Yeahs I don't get it either.

also I'd like to know which video game this is based off of. Also this novel should have European Ambience as a tag since, I think, it's greatly inspired by Western magic. <<less
