The protagonist, Soma Yagami, is a negative high school boy aiming for a peaceful and comfortable life. He is thoroughly avoiding troublesome things like club activities, love, and friendship.

“All I need is the academic ability to become a civil servant, all other factors are unnecessary.”

However, one day, he was cursed with [Forced Youth Option] that only allows him to take positive actions. It brings disaster if he disobeys it. Because of the curse, Soma is forced to approach three sisters and join their club activities. In addition, he also has to learn martial arts, which promotes violence that he hates.

However, this is the beginning of his discovery of his own unexpected talent.

I literally read only 4 chapters yet I'm already in love with this novel.

It doesn't do anything new. Just as the synopsis says our MC randomly gets a bunch of options that he has to pick on of (kinda like a visual novel) except these options usually force him to live his youth by making him play sports and flirts with girl and if he doesn't follow any options something disastrous will happen.

What I love about this novel is the absolute immaturity of the options. For example when our MC... more>> is forced to go the gym he decides to quit then he gets these two options

1. Continue going to the gym

2. Sh*t your pants

This immaturity doesn't hide the options intentions at all and can get pretty funny.

Overall it's a comedy novel that made me laugh and interested in the MC (we haven't had enough time to know the other characters yet) and isn't that what comedy novel are supposed to do? <<less

let me say this straight this novel have a potential good harem but the author ruin it by the chapter 48. The author suddenly put one of the heroine into a tragedy state which later the MC to say that he like her more than the rest. Thus resulted a story collapse that it is a disaster that all the foundation that have been build is scattered to the ground and wasted. Time to drop this novel from my reading list.

Started as a harem comedy, but the author decided to forcefully push for the winning heroine so hard that ruined the entire work, it become a tragedy.

The curse went from punishing a lazy kid to become a plot armor for the winning heroine after she was hit with a "Suzuka" level of death flag, it was sudden expecially when until half of the novel the protagonist was growing flags with the sisters and other characters. It was like they hired Rian Johnson to write the second part.

The novel started good with an interesting premise like the anime Noucome. The choices basically forced him to act like the Hero of the story when that's not his personality. Over time it made him a better person but this also includes a lot of comedic scenes with this 'ability'.

It suddenly turned super serious by the end betraying the slice of life feel with a tinge of comedy that we were so used to for majority of the novel. I don't know if the Author got tired of writing this but set up for the ending is so bad in my opinion. It also forced an ending with one heroine (Probably the least liked by the community) by having her suddenly contract a life threatening event that just seals the deal on who the Protagonist would end up with. It was so contrived and didn't feel natural at all. Just felt like a total robbery by anyone who had different ship in mind, It was basically unfair.

In conclusion I think this novel is good at the start then crashed and burned by the end. I still think it's worth reading if you have nothing to do and it's just 70 chapters but be warned the ending might not be what you want. <<less

The novel was a real roller coaster, it had a lot of potential but I totally agree with the other reviewers that it felt like the author swapped halfway through or that the author just stopped trying after c35. The relationships were forced, the backstory of how the MC's family loved him but did nothing as he was bullied for years was forced, and the conclusion felt rushed despite the author building up to it for 35 chapters. It started good very good actually decent speed and fun to read with humor but it all started to go down hill after 40ish chapters kinda became lame and turned from slice-of-life humor harem to tragedy edgy romance without any humor only sadness and predictable plot armour it like all of the character development gone to drain after 60ish chapter it become thriller and fantasy type gone all harem and humor as well has characters became bland so good for about 5o chapter but not recommend if you want to... more>> be disappointed

The story was quite the rollercoaster. A little funny and sometimes I swear the author changed out halfway through and just winged it. It's like there was a plot outline but they had no idea how to fill in the gaps. I struggled to keep going around 45-55 but it sorta got back on track and tied together so it started to make sense. But the ending was sorta meh with a lot of loose ends just dropped all over the place. I didn't hate it, but I was disappointed.

Well this is a good option to read if you are bored, it is not the best but it fulfills the function of entertaining, it would be better if I had a better translation but my mother tongue is not English and that is more something personal

Let see, this story is grat at the start but the ending is a whatever fits.

The author just wrote 5 chapters but only the 3 first are good, if you read up to there you can stop to go somewhat happy, don´t read the last 2 chapters they are bad, o so bad.

If the story where to end in harem it could be better, and more fit to the mc´s character.

Specialy the reason for the forced choices it´s s*upid, using your life is choices for others is sake.
