Although my rate is 5, I can't say that it's ideal novel. I would mark it as 8, 7/10 but I can't see so low rating of this novel. I'm crying a lot because of this story but I am enjoying a lot at the same time so I will try to share my thoughts...

For the beginning... It's a story about gay couple in ancient times. But you won't meet problems of gays in this story. You will meet people. Real people who are trying to find their own... more>> way.

The MC was a rich guy. One day he understood that he was nothing in fact. Yeah, he had amazing experience, strong background but his life was typical and aimless. He ran away with clear plan but this plan was broken. And it is right thing. It's rarely when life is going absolutely as you wish. And, as for me, he is really idealistic person and broken plan just proves this fact.

The ML was seen as a really good person but if we try to think more about it... He was more problematic than the MC in the point of view of individualities. He was just following the flow: he had low wishes, he had dissatisfactions but didn't get rid of them etc. Except this, yes, he had a really good character. Well, somehow we could say that he just tried to save peace as he could.

And their story... The story can be easily predicted. I mean not the plot but the fact the story will happen. It was absolutely clear that they would change each other. Because of small but important fact that they were living together and they didn't have any other options. It's the first stone.

The MC ran away because he didn't have any work and now he was forced to stay in one place for a long time. And he was workless again. So, he will be looking for something to do while he will spending money and time (so, he is angry all day). The ML would try to live as always but the mc's temperament could not let it go that easy. But one day the found strong side of each other. And this is the second stone.

All further story is built on these two stones. The story can be without love between them but I can feel why the author chose love relationship. Yeah, maybe he/she just wanted to write BL but...

Firstly, it will never be BG. This story at those times can't happen between man and woman. The woman with MC experience and background won't have chance to so freely run away. The woman as ML experience and background won't exist (XD). But if she exists, she would not have his temperament. Moreover, it won't be story between two women. The reasons are higher... But, in fact, just because they wouldn't be able to run business only with each other.

Secondly, two main characters should be closer than friends and the connect between them should be stronger. And the love is good choice. Without love at the end the MC will not choose to live all life in a bad town. Yeah, he is changed but it's something in his bones. For example. Maybe. He will try to do another business in a better town. As for the ML, no matter how funny it is (well, it's funny because he is gong), he should have strong support. And without another person he will return to previous life of almost salted fish. But, yaeh, he works but somehow aimlessly.

And now about my another thoughts... I think that characters except MC and ML are written amazingly too. And the relationship between MC, ML and other characters are changing too! Oh, yes! There is another couple. They are quite cute. All in all, all characters can transform and they do transform. Well, in fact, ther are no real villains. And I like this fact but you can be disappointed because the author gives all of them reasons for their actions.

The plot is good too but I think the story could be shorter and a little more realistic (although the author did good job and I felt that it was real) without some not-so-needed-but-added dramas closer to the end but, okay, I can understand that all story was so low pace that readers need something or they will not remember the story. And, all in all, these dramas had some important parts of plot but... T.T I was so strongly crying!

P.p.s. I can't say that the MC is really lazy... He just can do nothing and doesn't have any strength. XD

P.p.p.s. But MC can read and write. At ancient times it's important. Moreover, he had clear brain so he can generate ideas... All in all, he is just manager. (Well, for their business he is just boss and investor ^^) <<less
