Su Xi transmigrated to a book. After crossing through the book, she had become the troublesome “sister-in-law” of the villainous Big Boss. The original owner was beautiful, but arrogant and brainless, dutifully running all the way on the road of cannon fodder.

Her life’s pleasure was humiliating her only brother, who happened to be gay. In the end, the younger brother succumbed to the pressure and committed su*cide due to depression. However, the Villainous Big Boss retaliated against this “sister-in-law,” and she met a miserable end.

The peach blossom spirit Su Xi, who came through, trembled…

This is an interesting read for sure. There are big plot holes, but you can still read it with a forgetful mind (don't try remembering every single details!)

The MC is transmigrated into a book, and lives with her adopted brother and grandma in a village cause both parents (military martyr) died. There is another brother, FL's real brother who works in a different county. It's a BL subplot so it's not hard to guess who are the BL couple here (not too much skinshio throughout the novel, making it... more>> a good read).

The ML and MC meet when MC is 15, however, they still don't know each other. When the MC is a medical student final year, all grown up, getting her own house and money (from black-market selling peach wine because she's an awakened semi-peach demon wtf?). Their second meeting is
Spoiler

when the ML and MC's adopted brother goes in a secret mission and their colleagues get severely injured and ML comes to MC's uni to fetch her so she could treat them (no explanation whatsoever on where did doctors in hospital go, or why they did not bring a more experienced professor doctor from the uni), and the MC saves the colleague by feeding them with peach wine.

[collapse]

The ML and MC's married life is sweet, MC is pampered to boot. The romance of the brothers and MC progresses swiftly. The grandma comes to know about the gay relationship of both the brothers, it's an era where gays are hanged/shot/stoned to death, so grandma accepts it because she loves her grandchildren.

MC and ML has a daughter, who rarely gets to see her parents because parents are mostly in the camp being a military man/dooctor.

The story's plot holes are like massive. But I guess for the sake of the story, it can be swallowed (for instance, a regressed close friend/ black hearted individual of MC who was not mentioned in the later novel AT ALL)

The story is good in a brainless way, you can read it if you're trying to pass time.

All in all, it's a good read. <<less

This is one of the novels that although its cliche and too smooth sailing, I still read it because I appreciate all the characters very much. This is more of a slice of life novel.
