Context: ML has been rehearsing reasonable lines to move MC to become his lover, ends up messing it up and upsetting MC. This is slightly guesswork edited from MTL.

"Without a shred of patience, Qing Yun got up and walked to the desk in two strides, glaring at the head of Ningda's president. He (QY) then pressed his (ML) handsome face into the keyboard and rolled it.

"Hey!"

"Bang!" sounded the door closing as Qing Yun left, without any guilt on his conscience towards his boss.

Ning Qianyuan quietly rested on the keyboard, and full of grievances, read the second half of the sentence: "You can try to rely on me..."

However, no one was there to hear his soft concession."

And as MC gets increasingly powerful, the worlds rules and staying in character of the original matter less and less to him

And during the worlds there's ofc the ML following him around. I'm a bit torn about ML, can't say he's particularly interesting nor bad so meh ~

MC: Qing Yun ML: Nie Chenyuan. Qing Yun's step brother and step mother was responsible for the slandering Qing Yun and his father (if I remember correctly), and so he proves himself at the cultivation competition with the help of ML, who WAS the step brother's former good friend. Nie Chenyuan suffers from some sort of disorder, and Qing Yun was the one who healed him, so he becomes an infatuated puppy who gets constantly educated.

MC: Xiao Chengnuo ML: Zuo Chen. Their souls recognise each other, but MC wants ML to chase him properly and prove his love. MC's logic is: Although he loved Chenyuan, just because they were together in their previous lives doesn't necessarily mean it will like that in this life too. Rough plot of this arc is MC's adopted brother attempts to chase MC out of the household and get all the inheritance. MC's father is a complete as*hole who doesn't know how to see a white-eyed wolf, but ML is the richest man who dotes on MC. MC himself is a powerful CEO of the best pharmaceutical company he founded himself, without ML's help. Together, we have two badasses faceslapping the hell out of the Xiao family (thank god the mother is super supportive of MC, she's the only good person in this entire family.) ML is obsessed with BD*M dark room plays, and even papapa'd MC to exhausation so he can't leave for a week. MC tames him again, rip ML.

MC: Jorah ML: Chris. This arc hurted a lot, especially because both MC and ML had to suffer a lot. ML is a supposed traitor, who turns out to be a double agent, while the original host was a traitor who sold out the secret that would kill the entire empire. MC changes his fate, becoming a strong pillar who refuses to give up anything, enduring extreme torture (very gruesome, so skip this arc if you're not comfortable). Interestingly, ML was once someone who would sleep with both men and women, but in this arc he turns into someone who is super indifferent and aloof. After MC's throat gets slashed by ML while he sings the anthem, the prisoners initiate su*cide that helps both of them escape. MC's original ex-fiance gets face slapped, and ex-fiance then gets double slapped when his current Omega fiance starts trying to chase after MC. Unexpected Omega/Omega LMAO but of course our ML will never let that happen.

MC: Qing Yun ML: Ning Qianyuan (President of the Entertainment company Qing Yun is in). Original host was known as a flower vase, and a harem of 5 men try to capture him (not love, they want to play him to death). Protagonist is jealous of him and tries to pit him. The protagonist of this world is reborn, and wants to capture Ning Qianyuan, but Qing Yun is dragged off by ML and there's a little bit of dubcon since ML was drugged with an aphrodisiac. (not by MC, but MC gets taken advantage of). ML hates MC for trying to sleep his way up, but eventually finds out that MC was completely innocent and spends the rest of the time trying to woo MC. MC is very unimpressed, teaching and educating ML what it means to respect and love someone. Protagonist gets face slapped when his own crush and targets MC, of course ML doesn't allow that to happen. ML's agent is a die-hard fan of MC who keeps scolding ML for treating MC badly, acting like a mother. They adopt a dog and spread literal and metaphorical dog food all over Weibo.

MC: Qing Yun (Zombie cure) ML: Sheng Feng (strongest human/world's protagonist). MC loses his memories and develops two different personalities. One as a small child, and one as his normal self. As a small child, he's very dependent and clingy towards ML, who similarly dotes endlessly to him, wanting to create a beautiful world and protect MC from everyone else. When he meets the real Qing Yun, he falls in love, but feels very guilty because he feels like he's not supposed to love the child he was taking care of. They build a base, which eventually gets infiltrated by the organisation that wants to take Qing Yun back and create the cure. Sheng Feng abandons all of the other side characters who were his teammates, bringing Qing Yun along to hide away, but Qing Yun, who at this point, realises how much ML loves him that he's willing and able to overturn his predestined fate and go against the world's consciousness, knocks ML out and sacrifices out. They both fall to their deaths together while MC professes his love to ML and ML cries, but it turns out they're alive at the end. MC has fun teasing his lover, pretending to be his alternate child self, while ML just goes along. Super cute, although somewhat angsty arc. Lots of wonderful side characters. MC mentions how this version of ML is the one he loves the most, because ML passed his test. ALSO: This is because when MC reverts to becoming a child, he's really mentally back to his true 5 year old self, when he was completely alone and full of pain and vulnerability. He initially wants to kill ML because he didn't want ML to ever know this pain and change his memories from when he was 5. But ML's constant patience and love slowly changes MC's memories, making them beautiful, and MC finally accepts ML's love FOR REAL.

MC: Shen Mingye (script writer engaged to Ahaz's son) ML: Ahaz (Mafia leader + very rich CEO). I genuinely feel very bad for the original host. Surprisingly, the author went to the route of protraying a very nuanced characterisation of MC's step brother and ex fiance, showing their regret and redemption. I really liked this arc, and it was also the start of ML's memories slowly returning. Quite hilarious, especially when ML has to suffer because his son is engaged to MC, and then he was like : Ya, he's going to marry into our family but I never said YOU'RE the one marrying him. It's me HAH. Oh, no worries about ML having a child with someone, it turned out that the son was just a product of someone stealing ML's s*erm and creating a baby which is why he doesn't even love his son LOL. MC makes movies about his past lives in the hopes of ML remembering everything, but it obviously doesn't work.

MC: Yan Sa (crown prince/future emperor) Qi Yue (northern army general). Qi Yue is an idiot, who thinks that the crown prince is a corrupt tyrant and wants to support the other prince up to the throne because he's loyal to the emperor. Meanwhile, he falls in love (but thinks it's sworn brotherhood and confidants) with MC's alternate identity Xiang Feng. So the entire time he's jealous of Yan Sa for having a loyal Xiang Feng, but doesn't realise they're both the same person. MC is like "WTF I was looking for you while you're trying to assassinate me?! tr*sh husband, scram!" So he spends the entire arc messing with ML. ML makes a bet with MC about supporting someone else up the throne, and when he storms the capital and sees Xiang Feng as the emperor, he's confused but eventually kneels super quickly, and goes, "WE BOTH WON THE BET". He spend the next few years running everywhere to expand the country's borders because MC is petty and likes to send him away. They do it on the dragon throne *wink wonk* Lovely arc, I loved the face slapping, and the regret the former emperor has to go through. BY THE WAY, original Yan Sa was REALLY a true villain, but MC helps to give nuance to that character.

MC: Joyce ("princess". Bride who got sold to a dragon for marriage) ML: Morris/Count Olsen (the dragon). Not much to say, but that this arc was full of misunderstandings. Didn't really enjoy how much misunderstanding the both of them went through, because ML was like "I love joyce but she's not a man so she can't be my lover." Which is really... frustrating. Anyways, a little bit of the main plot progresses, and ML is revealed to have a very very damaged soul. Qing Yun ends up becoming a reverred god and can't escape the world, so he spends the next thousand or so years trying to heal ML, but ML refuses (he doesn't want MC to lose power and tries to protect MC in his own way). MC eventually breaks away from the world and promises to find ML and heal him in the next world. ML is very cute in this arc though, he's a dragon so he doesn't want to scare MC away, so he wants to become a small cute dragon who washes his scales often. MC HUGS DRAGON ML WHEN ML IS IN A RAMPAGE AND COAXES HIM. ML was upset he didn't go steal more treasures from other dragons to spoil MC with.

MC: Xiang Chenyu ML: Wei Changxiu (bipolar). ML's soul gets more and more damaged. Original host was severely ab*sed, even though he was a musical prodigy, he was abandoned and used as a tool for the family to gain prestige, while his step brother accused him of bullying him. Qing Yun obviously face slaps the hell out of everyone, and actively chases ML. Because of ML's condition, he's afraid of hurting MC, and MC is like "you were literally a dragon in our last lives why would I be scared". ML built a literal wall to separate him from MC in case he went on a rampage, but MC climbs over the wall and embraces ML. Lots of sugar in this arc, and face slapping. This world, unfortunately, ends in a BE. ML's soul disintegrates, and MC gets super angered, and attempts to destroy the world and all the other realms. MC wants to bury everything down with his lover, but eventually stops himself halfway and leaves the world, because Wei Changxiu's body is just a husk without ML's soul anymore.

MC: Qing Yun/Ilos (Second son of Gled Family) ML: Edmund/Edmond (?) Emperor. It's okay, just a progression on the main story. MC tries to find ML who is dormant in a secret realm, and in the process, goes agains the protagonist who has a system, and his step brother who tries to become ML's contracted owner. There's a competition which MC faceslaps everyone in (super fun!) ML is a interstellar beast, and the world's protector. They reunite, and ML admits his identity, and they leave the world to go back to Qing Yun's original world and defeat the great dao.

MC: Qing Yun/Yun Qing (alternate identity before he reveals) ML: Ming (the sword) /Edmund. Pretty okay, it's just a conclusion I suppose. It was wrapped up quite nicely.

LMAO IT'S SO FUNNY Poor Edmund is in rut, but unfortunately because Qing Yun is now the overseer of the worlds, he's way too busy with his workload, so Edmund keeps begging for a honeymoon. And the world rules are all complaning about Edmund shamelessly entering their worlds like he owns them, so they all beg Qing Yun to just go have his honeymoon with Edmund so they can get a break. That's about it.

Ming Tan (?) He is MC's sword. Remember the one which helped him block the Heavenly Dao. But ML's original identity is not a sword. He is from another world, and in this world he came as MC's sword. He also is against the Heavenly Dao.

And the main thing is he gradually fell for our MC, but as a sword, he couldn't do much or express his feelings. So, when he sealed his memories to follow MC in various worlds, his thousands of years of feelings finally exploded.

I personally found it touching and logical, after all their are many stories where logic is lost when it comes to love, and this isn't far fetched.

Since in the zombie arc we see how the ML is making his way to the MC's little heart and how the MC panics for fear of being betrayed again 💔 but the beauty of this arc is that the ML shows that no matter that his memories are sealed, he will still love and care for his beloved 😭💕.

This arc and the last arc are a roller coaster of emotions, I cried because at the end some problems that made the MC paranoid were fixed.... or rather they were clarified :')

Due to the body's limitations, MC is locked into his five/three year old mentality most of the time. The ML treats him completely as a child, but these memories are real: when the MC reverts to his real age/mentality, the affection he felt as a child toward the ML is a real part of his memories. This understandably upsets the MC a lot!!!! But it's basically the best and quickest way for the MC to become actually emotionally involved with the ML instead of treating him like a s*x toy. The ML is never disgusting toward the child self, and actually hates himself for being attracted to the older self and struggles with his feelings.

This is MTL, but as I understood it: the ML was originally a 'rules enforcer' with a system who would act as a protagonist. this system actually wanted to devour the ML, but he had managed to save up energy and protect himself from the system. Then he appeared to be roaming around? He became aware of the birth of a child that the Heavenly Dao was ''concerned'' about, ripping the child's soul into pieces and scattering them. the ML basically showed up occasionally to save the child, but became more and more involved.... somehow he became a spirit in the child's sword... this child is Qing Yun, the MC. So, the ML has actually been with the MC since he was young. As the MC's sword, he chased after the MC when the MC left the original world to heal his soul, but because his soul wasn't scattered, he could only force his way into the various worlds. Due the rules, he had to lock his own memories, and was shocked after his memory-less self actually got sexually involved with the child he was protecting!!!!! Then it happened again.... it's after the third arc that the ML basically gave up on himself and accepted that he'd fallen in love with the MC - that's the actual reason that he 'stole' the third world: deciding that he'd served his cause enough and was allowed to be selfish. Since he's very well aware of Qing Yun's backstory, he's extremely touched that Qing Yun came after him to save him instead of still being hell-bent on his own goals.

Although the MC has his nerves touched by knowing that the ML has something to do with 'protagonists', he basically unreservedly accepts the ML's identity. As he thinks several times! Since the ML provoked him, he can only be with the MC!

The ML also knows that the best way to get close to this extremely self-defensive person is to be dog-like hahaha, but he doesn't suffer and isn't dissatisfied being this way. Otherwise, how could his memory-less self successfully do it in so many worlds!!!
