Well, how do I explain it?

It just good. It's plot are above average. Nice slice of life with normal yuri. But, the great thing s are battle scenes. It's like holy water bleaching my eyes after reading some sh!tty Chinese novel or generic Isekais, my eyes are blessed with exciting and good writing and translation of the fight. It's a bliss to read it.

5/5 recommended.

I'm actually very curious about how immoral some people are to think that the reasoning in the story (about why she doesn't become a pro athelete, and why her family, friends, and peers are scared of her).

Spoiler

A large, vicious dog attacked a pair of 4 year old girls in a children's playground, and almost killed one of them. She managed to protect her friend and kill the dog, but was harmed so bad that she was knocked unconscious from the blood loss.

Given this situation, would anyone with decent morals become scared of the girl? Or would they praise her for being a hero and become outraged at the dog owner? Shit, there should be calls for forbidding large dogs from entering the playground after this. The fact that her parents became scared and distanced themselves from their child is grounds for taking away their custody. They are not fit for raising a child.

She is their only child, by the way.

[collapse]

It boggles my mind to imagine what world the author is operating under.

Not that it matters. Both of her parents are dead, and apparently, there are no social protection for children whose parents died. And she has to work like 100 hours a week (no exaggeration) since middle school. Or maybe she had nothing to do but work 100 hours a week, but she does that.

All of these "drama" and "trauma" is completely unneeded. It's a story about livestreaming a video game. I'm unsure why the author thought that the MC had to be a socially-ostracized orphan. None of it adds anything to the story, and just feels like the author is trying too hard filling in tropes.

Also, regarding other reviews, being a pro-athelete is too hard, but everyone can become a pro-streamer?

This story would be a lot more interesting if she was a pro-athelete who segued into a pro-streamer. Other than that, the story is kind of boring. The video game world isn't that interesting. <<less

Edit: I forgot to tap the rating and seems like I can't add it this late so I'll put it here. 5/5!

Good read, certainly better than most vr related titles out there.

There are already positive reviews about battle scenes and plots and yes I agree with them. However not many mentions about the players' relationships and backgrounds, the so called character growth etc, and certainly even less people mention about its real life socials and psychological aspects.

This has quite the shounen vibe, however for audience wanting more than just great... more>> battle scenarios, it dives a bit deeper into players (especially MC's) psychological condition, how it affects her career, social life, and her in game behavior considering she's a real life superhuman due to her physical "anomaly" (not too sure but it should exist in real life). It's relatable, even more to those who has experienced "asian social life"

Unfortunately, there are people who fail to understand why she doesn't go with a path that utilizes her physical gift. I will try to give reasons according to my own experience and insights in real life:

1. One doesn't simply become a pro athlete. It requires long, arduous steps to reach what you may call "pro". It's not as simple as you see in shounen sport mangas where you join a club, do well and grow talents, and at the end of the series (which can range from 3 to 100 volumes) you become a champ. No, that's a blind and foolish assumption. What you need to do isn't only that. There's more to it, you can't even imagine how hard and harsh it is to simply take a step into pro level. I can go on with this but that's not what I want to say and certainly not what you want to read. It's this novel you want to read.

2. Support. She doesn't have it. Not from her parents, her friends, her surroundings. She doesn't have the moral support, financial support, official support from her school or club. None. They were afraid of her, and for good reason. It's properly explained in the series why is it so and it is very relatable. Go read it.

3. Her mental state. Forget about going pro, most of us won't even exercise regularly, and more often than not we either skip or quit altogether when things aren't as what we want or expect. Being a pro means having that as a career, you need to compete as long as you're physically able. You need mental strength and dedication. And you can't expect a young girl who has no support and just got a huge disaster in her life has what it takes to go pro. Find out more about her mental state in the novel.

4. As one would expect, a novel goes with how the author wants it to go. You can't complain much since the author isn't even here with us nor speak english (sorry for the prejudice against jp novelist) so make it simple: read it and enjoy it. <<less

Be warned, the story progression is incredibly slow. Not because things get dragged on, but because there are too many distractions. If you don't mind this, feel free to check it out. It's another one of those [OP/lucky newbie plays a unique character] type stories.

For every chapter of fighting/progression there's 2-3 chapters of filler (shopping trips, food, flashbacks, lore, bbs, other pov, etc.). Even in story, MC takes a break from gaming every other day. I usually appreciate this kind of world building, but in this case it's just too... more>> much.

My other complaint is that MC's weapons don't have any synergy (melee, 1h, 2h, throwing). You don't get a sense of pieces slowly clicking into place, but more like, arbitrarily "which shoes do I feel like wearing today?". It just compounds onto the problem of too much filler, because now you're reading through 4 walls of text for each system. <<less

If I had to sum up this WN it would be fluffy and fun with an intriguing undercurrent of mystery and slightly mysterious backstory. The characters are fun and their interactions just cheer you up. Most of the time the live streaming aspect of the novel is very much background, but when it is brought to the fore it really shines. The interactions between the streamers and the audience, especially the MC and her audience really come off as something you would actually see with a live stream. There are... more>> also occasional chapters purely devoted to chatboard conversations that are very entertaining.

Overall, I definitely think that you should give it a shot.

I really hope someone picks this up or it gets an official translation. I absolutely understand why 9 dropped it, but it seems a shame to leave it at that. <<less

Hmmm, battle scenes are epic... plotwise, it's great but there are some that makes little sense here and there in the backstory, things you can say that shouldn't have happened or something better could've been done, however I don't think those things are something to be nitpicky about since it's reality that you can't always pick the best choice or action on the spot and can only think about what you could've done better after it happens. [i think if you think that way there are some things you can... more>> forgive instead of being stuck on it... let's not think about what could've been better coz what happened, happened after all.]

So with that said, MC, she's a superhuman who can, maybe knockout a boxing champion in an official match if she took sports. Or someone who can win archery contests in a breeze, but she did not care about sports or anything competitive since she feels like she was cheating, so she went and submerged herself slaving on multiple jobs. Is what she chose to do and not a thing for us to question. Also, she has a very very very rich childhood friend who's gay for her. And this gay friend and her entire family let our MC work herself out and was just watching over her if they ever did and still claim they really like and want to pamper her a lot. Well, this and that happens and she lost her job and took livestreaming with the help of our said gay friend.

As for the game they were playing, a classic VR game of skill collection. Multiple class, multiple race and specialties. And since it's VR, there goes the PS (player skill) like your reaction speed and reflexes matters a lot. PoV here is always at MC's playstyle so you might end up thinking she's so OP that events only happen to her, but that was not the case, put in mind that some player are getting their own events and have their own progress and every race is progressing too, it's just we are focusing on Ogre's in the story. Although she's OP, what I want to say is that, it's not that only her can do everything.

And most of all, the yuri content... there's already very high probability they were gays but it's still too soft core. Just some TeeTee moments.

Nevertheless, I quite like and enjoy this story despite it's flaws and again, epic battle scenes that I can sometimes picture what's happening, also good translation except.........

Spoiler

TL is currently MiA, find them please

Well, this is quite good, a background that has influence in the history, character development of the protagonist, Yuri the most important thing, it's quite wholesome, I think it deserves the 5 stars. The only problem isn't even of the history or the author, it's the translations, there hasn't been not even 1 chapter in almost 3 months (at the time I'm writing this, 28-Nov) and there hasn't been signs of dropping from the TL page or from the author so we are in dark about any new chapter, either... more>> raw or translated.

This novel is quite addicting (which makes myself read the raw). Here are positive and negative (depending of your opinion, this is fine for me) points:

Positive:

- Interesting VRMMO system building

- Interesting 'forum' and 'live-stream' interaction

- Character relationship and building =w=

- Backstories and different perspective are interesting

Negative (?) :

- For you who search for 'yuri' that crosses the healthy line.
- The gear of the world (in the game) is moved because of the MC

For you who think "Ehh, the MC is strong so why doesn't she become athlete? What a waste of talent" :

Well, the MC (Nana) is a superhuman in real life but she has a reason.

Overall, I recommend this novel to you.

I've really enjoyed what I read so far. I hope someone picks this up again. I won't write any fancy reviews, as it's been too long since I read everything, but I will say that the dive/vrmmo genre has always been a favorite of mine, and this story does have some neat aspects of that, plus some real-world back story that seems to be significant to the story... almost like illuminati level intrigue stuff (okay, so I'm being hyperbolic, but it's still kind of neat).

Can't find how to rate in... more>> stars... -_- <<less

if the girl has super human physical abilities, why the hell isn't she a professional athlete. Like seriously thats a waist of potential.

as well as some of the typical annoying things like making mail armor the "light armor" and plate the "heavy armor" in reality, not only do mail and plate weigh about the same, plate armor if tailored properly is actually easier to move around in due to the weight distribution.

About 3/5 until arc 4, and 2/5 after arc 4, is a decent novel until author decides to make a filler arc the biggest arc of the novel, while reading this arc most of the time I was like "I really don't care about literally anything that is happening here and I'm absolutely sure that nothing that happens here will matter at the end of this arc" and this arc toke it over 2 years to be completed and even then it only finished probably because the readers must have... more>> complained a lot because the author basically said on a note that he would not write the continuation of that arc and went back to the main story.

Anyway is a novel about what if superman went to play VR games, if you like tha idea read it. <<less

Firrst off, I love this series.

At first this story seems like a generic 'lets play a game' type, but its much more. The author manages to both seperate and blend real life and the game. The main characters have their strengths and weaknesses. And they realistically have to deal with them, both irl and in game.

The action seems well coriograffed and doesn't feel drawn out. They are quite entertaining to read.

The yuri aspect is slow in this story, and im not sure when we will see progress, but it makes... more>> sense for the MC when you read why.

Personally I recommend reading up to chapter 126 where the first major arc concludes, after that the story slows down in preparation for the next. I recommend waiting for more chapters. (I estimate that the next arc concludes around chapter 250-255. Judging by the raws)

If you like stories like; bofuri, flfo, oso, and genocide online, I would highly recommend this one. <<less

This is a great story, but it might not be for everyone, there are a decent amount of plot holes, that could have been fixed with the Mc's Iq that was displayed. Though I'm not one for nitpicking, I read this cause it has a Vtuber type of story. The plot is dense yet also s*upid, and cliche. I would like to recommend this if you just want an action packed slice of life, and you should skip some chp involving back stories. It's plot but you could get the... more>> best just from reading. It would rate it a 3, 5 but I can't click the stars properly. I'm at f*cking chapter 197 and they keep baiting me. I just want them to kiss orang atleast confess?!?! personally, I think this is times better than those certain genres that always left an impression of the lame-ish type of plot (when it comes to fantasy, mostly the mc's gonna be a male and he gonna make this harems shit) well keep that aside for now. I've only read the first chapter and it was amazing. overall so far, just by judging the first chapter, I know that I gonna like this so much and yeah I hesitate of wether am I ganna give it a try or not... more>> since I have no idea 'bout how yuri is this going to be. anyway, just give it a try. You will never know it ya'know

note: well you prob gonna thought that my opinions come from me myself, the whole thing about me being judgemental 'bout that harem and male as a MC or whatever. but not. my life isn't miserable. I enjoyed my life a lot... it's just how here they normalize those kinda sh*t 'bout males power or the supremity of mankind lmao. I got fed up with that bs for the longest time I remember. I'm a male myself but I hate my own gender when it comes to generally speaking about almost everything. well it's out of context, sorry <<less

The fights are Nice. The translations is good and well paced (for now). The Game settings are well thougth and the MC is pretty Nice. I have nothing against this story. Actually it's been a while since I have been this eager to read the next chapter.

The Yuri is the Fluffy type, wich is perfect for me. And while some people might question the mc's choices un life, that also gets cleared away when You get her Friends pov.

My only conplaint is with the people in reviews asking:

why doesnt she just become a professional athlete or other phyiscal sport.... because they would ban her within a week for being impossible to compete against. Sports exist because everyone is on the same level so if one person goes beyond the norm if they cannot up class them. That happens in boxing were super skilled lower weight fighter get forced into higher weight class. Problem with our girl is there isnt a high enough class where she can compete on level with others. Thus it stops being a competition.

Other than that I have not real issues you can skip spoiler section as its more a rant. <<less

Revised:

Story:

It's decent, not great not bad. It's a solid 3. Nana and those around her has a background, there's reasons why Nana starts playing the VRMMO. So there is "threads" going through the story which it's trying to deliver, it just takes AGES to get anywhere.

... more>> At the heart of the story however, is a characters journey in an MMO and how it changes her life as a result. Just be warned, it's a slow story.

Writing:

It's inconsistent. Sometime it's good, sometimes it's really bad.

It's the weakest point of the Novel by far and I think the story suffers from it.

It feels simplistic in a very bad way. And the method it uses to narrate the story is also meh.

Characters:

They got some flesh on them, Rinne and Nana is by far the most fleshed out by chapter 90, though there's others too.

Both Nana and Rinne is interesting characters. Nana has past trauma to deal with while Rinne is hinted to have feelings for Nana. Their relationship is also not normal.

Recommended?

Eh..... There's better Shoujo Ai, VRMMO and slife of life novels out there. Maybe not all in one though :P

I'd give it a try if the genre interest you and you want a relaxing Novel to read, just beware it has some dark bit to it. <<less

As you can tell from the synopsis, the story is about the adventures of the main character Nanako (who is some kind of superhuman) in the VRMMO called WorldLive-ONLINE (or WLO for short).

Unlike the other slice of life VRMMO novels like Bofuri or Only Sense Online, the main advantage of the MC in this story isn't unexpectedly overpowered builds, powerful rare skills, exploitable equipment design, or bad power balance management, but the absurd physical ability and talent that the MC seems to be born with (from what I can tell... more>> based on the flashback chapters).

The yuri in this novel is mostly about the MC and her childhood bestfriend Rinne who was the one to invite her to the game. She's not only a pro-gamer and streamer but also the youngest child of what seems to be an extremely influential and wealthy family. They aren't really in a romantic relationship, I don't even remember if they've hugged or not (probably though). There's no development either, they're very close from the start and aren't really getting any closer.

Unlike most VRMMO novels, there's quite the deep and interesting background and the author is very good at the exposition of it. I don't just mean the background of the MC and Rinne IRL, the background of the game world is great too, seemingly having thousands of years of history.

It's a shame it was dropped with still so much to go on, hopefully it gets picked up again. <<less

First this is actually enjoyable read. This story have unusually some heavy plot so I don't like those that much. It is your usual gaming novel with yuri content (the men of culture like) and the game system has a little nonsense that is the different between levels are nonexistence. Other than that everything is fine, the story is not rush, you can get the feeling of really playing game, interacting with other players and NPCs and the most I like about is there is no player that is doing... more>> nonsense anti- protagonist like some gaming novels. The reason I rated it 4 stars is because I don't like some heavy stuff that throw in between the sweet yuri moments. <<less
