Becoming A Sensation Through Writing Trashy Interstellar Scripts!

Yan Yue finds herself in a novel titled “The Strongest Scriptwriter,” set in an interstellar backdrop where everyone stays home and binge-watches shows, featuring an entertainment industry heroine wrapped in an interstellar theme.

The original character Yan Yue inhabits is not the heroine; she is the contrast to the heroine. If the heroine is a gifted scriptwriter, the original character is an airhead. Later on, due to plagiarizing the heroine’s work, the original character faces backlash from the interstellar citizens. She even ends up in interstellar court and eventually takes her own life.

After reflecting on the original character’s life, Yan Yue thinks, “Isn’t this just about writing scripts? I’m familiar with that.”

So, having traversed 999 ancient Mary Sue worlds, Yan Yue starts writing stories like “The Temptation of Returning to Interstellar: White Moonlight Stand-In’s Counterattack” and “After Running Away from Marriage 9999 Times, I Married the Interstellar Tycoon’s Father,” and the day after, she writes “The Mother of Ten Precious Children Turns Out to Be Him, the Mecha War God!”

At first, when Star Netizens see these tacky, melodramatic titles associated with interstellar broadcasts, they complain: “Why is even this tr*sh paired with interstellar themes? Yan Yue, get out of the scriptwriting realm!”

But after watching the first episode, their reactions change: “What the heck? The sister-in-law is the male lead’s white moonlight stand-in? The male lead’s arranged marriage wife is actually the male lead’s secret crush for years? Wait, wait! The white moonlight stand-in and the white moonlight are twin sisters? No wonder they look so alike!! What the hell is this?! So melodramatic, I want to watch more! Give me the next episode now!”

Yan Yue assures them and quickly churns out thousands of scripts for cheesy dramas like “Punch the Certain Building” and “Kick the Certain Thai Guy.”

However, everyone soon realizes:

Why does the wrongly accused male lead from “The Temptation of Returning to Interstellar” look so much like the newly appointed young marshal from the neighboring star?

And why does the runaway bride from “After Running Away from Marriage 9999 Times” resemble the tr*shy star’s nouveau riche new wife?

And furthermore! Does the male mother of ten in “The Mother of Ten Precious Children” resemble our planet’s war god???

Yan Yue: ??? Can someone explain why the worlds she experienced through fast-transmigration merged with this star’s setting???

Yan Yue: Don’t ask, all these melodramatic stories are like this. Haven’t you seen the huge words at the beginning of each show before it airs?
[“All characters and events are fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is purely coincidental.”]

Until one day, the war god from that other star shows up at her door with his ten children, and all the kids chant in unison, “Mommy, mommy!”

Yan Yue: I messed up! I forgot that the tr*shy woman who betrayed the war god in “The Mother of Ten Precious Children” was herself…

As this is a story about a writer making melodrama, it suffers the same bad light of melodrama despite only having less than 50 chapters. Too exaggerated and over the top.

To begin, let's for give a warning that this story supports huge age gap difference. Nevermind our actual MC and ML as one is world hopping and the other is not human. But why does the author have a kink of shipping someone young and someone that could be their parents?

It's also quite annoying that they show that... more>> to have proper romance the man must be henpecked.

BTW, translation is a bit bad. It frequently misgender and changes names.

Now on to the list of drama:

1st Drama: Interstellar Life and Death Romance: The Overbearing Son-in-law Fell in Love with Me

Spoiler

It's about a mother taking revenge at the hero's family for killing her child by pretending to be her child. She was the first lover of the hero's father but his family didn't like her and so she moved on and had a child of her own. This child and the hero fell in love but hero's mother killed her. This result to her taking her daughter's identity to get revenge. Along the way the hero fell in love with her. Hence "son-in-law".

Thankfully the mother decided to live on her own and not continues being involve with them, particularly the hero. I was a bit suspicious as no one really mention the huge age gap and how screw up that is even if the hero is of legal age but just ignored it. I should have noticed that author continue to mention shipping them and stop at that point as I hate huge age gap.

2nd Drama: The Temptation of Returning to the Interstellar World: Moonlight Substitute’s Comeback” by that Woman!

Spoiler

This one thankfully has no age gap.

The drama had use a lot of twists but the main premise is that Gu Chen has a white moonlight and due to their disappearance went fulfilling his needs with people that look like her, not knowing that the fiance given to him is his white moonlight. While his lover id her sister.

What I hated about this story is the lack of focus on the fact that Gu Chen's parents are the true bastards. Both parents having a secret lover with a child. Gu Chen was ignored even by his own biological father, who favor his wife's affair child more. No one would remain sane in that environment.

And this is my next problem. In the real life (RL) equivalent, it's indicated that the RL Gu Chen was seeking treatment as he is drinking medicine for that. And this medicine reduce his lunatic tendency however he still SA? I'm adding question mark because to deal with him, someone tampered his medicine for him to go insane. And so I'm not sure if SA started even when he was taking proper treatment or after someone intentionally tampered with his treatment.

In my head, I'm thinking that if characters aren't brain dead, with his family influence and personal achievement it's very easy for women to throw themselves at him, or for him to buy service and so not needing SA.

Anyway, I just feel like this story rubbed me in the wrong way.

3rd Drama: After Escaping Marriage 99 Times, I Married the Starry Sky’s Richest Man’s Dad

Spoiler

From the title you can already see the huge age gap difference. Someone in 20s and someone in at least late 30s to 40s... Somehow because their plastic surgery is amazing, you think shipping this make sense???

The story also has so many layers but main premise is the hero loves heroine but is engaged with heroine's sister. Heroine's love for him was drained and soon she want nothing from him. As she escape, she kept on meeting hero's comatose father. She kept talking to the father not knowing he could hear her. And so he falls in love and court her upon waking up.

Thankfully in RL, as far as I remember it was left on air as to if they ended up together. As in RL they never met.

4th Drama: After Going on a Variety Show with My Ex-Boyfriend, I Ended Up with the CEO

Spoiler

NGL, at this point I am getting tired of this novel. I am honestly surprise there were only 3 dramas before this? Maybe I ignored something, anyway I skimmed this one haha.

But this is the story of OG heroine of the world. Through here, it's revealed the one helping our host's body is the ex-boyfriend who didn't want to see heroine winning. And as title implies, the OG hero is a CEO. So classic.

5th Drama: The Mother of Ten Precious Children Turns Out to Be Him, the Mecha War God

Spoiler

This is the last story and our MC's story.

This talk about MC's first world and her regret. MC met ML here. ML fell in love with her and hatched 10 eggs with her. MC didn't know this as ML fake his death, MC only knows he died with their child. By the time ML came back, MC already left the world. Through miracles ML found her.

I'm sorry but I cannot envision a man laying 10 eggs. I don't even want to think where or how and so I cannot really see this seriously.

Overall it was a fine read but could have done better. This story has this mystery question as to why the dramas she wrote comes in real life. Ultimately, had they decided to just end with how people are fitting real life stories to the dramas it would make sense as it is. This would give the same phenomenon as the Bible Code, where people claim it predicts the future but in reality it's people trying to find information they want from the Bible.

But they keep teasing about it, and so the end resolve it with how the world is in chaos due to snatching protagonist's halo? Or something.

It's a pity that the author only use the drama as a foreshadowing and guidance for the good guys but never used it for bad guys to lower their greed (well except the naive girl in RL drama 3). There was no one who was like "omg I'm the heroine and will get this fortune" and act arrogantly and ruined their future thanks to that. Tho at least they took the "MC use it to her advantage" card. Using it to make people more aware of the actual situation and to give peace to her regret in the first world.

Anyway could have done better. <<less

it was meh for me, romance story was terribly lacking between MC n ML imo-had to add the romantic-subplot tag.

I found myself brushing through the mini-stories and still not understanding how all diff worlds merged together and why it seems she was 'predicting' things that were to happen in real. Maybe just lost this stuff in mtl which was tough to read through.

The 50 chapters felt like a chore to read at some point, I was very dissatisfied with MC's own romance story.

an average read.

This novel can be summed up in three words: simply mindless fun. While the base concept of the novel isn't very new, there is something very refreshing about the plot.

MC manages to make a whole group of interstellar people addicted to dog - blood melodramas. Each melodrama more mind-boggling than the other. She manages to surprise not only her interstellar viewers but us as readers, with the unimaginable twists in her films.

Then to everyone's shock, ... more>>

all her films come true in "real life".

The ending, in my opinion, was unsatisfactory.

Anyway, this novel was innovative and extremely fun to read. Definitely recommend. <<less
