This poor MC was subjected to a false confession in the past and was made to be laughing stock of the school. He even had videos taken of the whole ordeal and shared on the internet which is still there to when this story is taking place currently. After the betrayal there is a time skip which shows MC having a stable job and a kouhai love interest at work even if he's super dense to it because of his past trauma. But our FMC happens to be his neighbor where he lives and she acts like as if nothing has ever happened between them and keeps dragging him to do stuff with her, seemingly thinking he's fine with interacting with her normally. Our MC having no self respect doesn't even bat an eye to this and keeps going along with her whims. And we get to find out FMC was part of a bad friend group which made her do that but at that point it doesn't even matter since MC doesn't stick up for himself which I find most infuriating in these types of stories.
