I was quite surprised? I thought it would be a super short novel but turns out it's a fanfiction disguised as a Web novel?

Basically, it's Bungou Stray Dogs fanfiction. As a fanfiction, this novel would probably get four stars, but as a novel, it horribly fails. You wouldn't have any idea what it was talking about unless you happen to know Bungou Stray Dogs. Just in case no one knows what I'm talking about, Bungou Stray Dogs is a anime and manga series, and I think there's a light novel?... more>> (It's a really good anime/manga. I'm still confused as to the overarching plot and genre. The only tags I see are [tragedy] and [comedy], however, all I've read has been a short introduction to an alternate reality where famous books don't exist, or are unknown, and superpowers might exist... Where is the tragedy? The comedy is kind of there, but what is the goal or purpose of the novel...? This seems to be a fantasy world slice-of-life, but I don't see any substantial world building or character development in the story... everything is confusingly vague,... more>> minus the titles of famous books...
