Had potential, the beginning was good but it quickly goes downhill once he gets his initial forces. It just becomes timeskips, MC not doing anything, poorly written interactions with women and cringe showing off. Of course the title of the novel is more or less forgotten about after 20 chapters.

To be honest, it started well and had potential, until a conflict with consequences was established. I really liked it a lot from the beginning and the protagonist seemed realistic in a situation where you are reborn, you take advantage of everything possible and if you see someone with potential you join them to your side, although this shows many plot conveniences I didn't 't care much since it is better to those novels that have as their premise a broken system that takes things out of nothing.

But it's going downhill and the moment that hit rock bottom for me was when he literally has a group of women that he rescues, he invests in them for a group to fight zombies (which I saw at the beginning plausible) and that they propose to name themselves ""xiao jun's harem" that's where the novel died for me and lost all possible seriousness.

There are some good things in the novel but many other things are bringing it down. To portray MC as ruthless, author includes some unnecessary scenes, for example, viciously kicking a weak person just because they are trying to grab him for help.

Ruthlessness is fine but to make MC relatable, the situation needs to be carefully designed. Cruelty against those who are trying to harm you is understandable but excessive cruelty by going out of his way is just making people dislike MC. It is typical of many apocalyptic stories.... more>> They only portray cruel and animalistic side of human. There are many examples of altruistim in desperate situations as well as strength of unity because human are complex creatures and they can form moral standards and civilizations despite being evolved from laws of jungle.

MC also doesn't seem to use his brain. More followers can mean strength especially when it seems easy to level them up and there is very tiny chance of betrayal due to his mind reading cheat. But the girl gang was formed only due to begging of his girl and also because he happens to recognize powerful characters before regression. And the potential problems of harem and group management is glossed over.

On the other hand the world building, MC's focus on power and strength, plot development of other groups are decently done. So the beginning is not as boring as other hyper focus novels. <<less
