In the shadows of an ordinary town, the threads of fate were abruptly severed for Xingzhi, leading to an extraordinary twist: his soul was mysteriously transplanted into the body of Yagi Miyuki, a Japanese senior high school student. This dramatic shift of destiny plunged him into a world far removed from his own, compelling him to navigate the complexities of life anew through the eyes of another.

Yagi Miyuki was no stranger to the rigors of academic pursuit. With the weight of Xingzhi’s ambitions now resting on his shoulders, Yagi Miyuki found himself fueled by a newfound determination. He set his sights on a lofty goal: to excel academically and secure a place in one of the nation’s top universities. It was a path he believed would lead him to a serene and undisturbed life, a stark contrast to the tumultuous journey his soul had endured.

Yet, just as the tranquility of a simple life seemed within reach, fate intervened in the most unexpected way. The school’s illustrious beauty, a girl whose allure was spoken of in hushed tones and admiring glances, stepped into his life with a revelation that would turn his world upside down. In a moment that felt as if it were lifted from the pages of a fairy tale, she confessed her feelings for him.

This confession shattered Yagi Miyuki’s world of solitude and study, ushering in an era of emotional turmoil and heart-stirring romance. As he grappled with the realities of this new affection, he was forced to confront his own desires and the true meaning of happiness. Was it to be found in the silent halls of academia, or in the unpredictable rhythms of the heart? The journey of Yagi Miyuki, once a simple quest for academic success, had transformed into a captivating saga of love, identity, and destiny.

This is the first time I'm writing a Review.

I'm only doing this because I'm incredibly disgusted by the blatant racism the author included in this story.

The "friend" of the protagonist is dark skinned and is literally described as looking like an "african friend" and like a "monkey from a distance". Unbelievable.

Aside from that the story is obviously just going to be a generic harem Manga with Transmigration and Systems mixed in to force the plot.

The reviews mentioning racism are incredibly overblown. It happens in one chapter and is never mentioned again, and is mostly played for laughs ig. Overall, the story is about a Chinese dude who transmigrated into the body of a Japanese high schooler in a definitely magical Earth. The heroines include a girl who's given a system to get close with the MC, a childhood friend regressor from an alternate zombie apocalypse timeline, a regressor sister, and a mermaid. It seems very likely for new heroines to show up, perhaps the... more>> person who he married in his sisters timeline and the boss of the butler cafe he works for. The translation is great, my only complaint being the formatting of the website itself. Some chapters are pushed slightly to the left, so the first letter of each line is cut off. Still very readable, but might be a better experience on PC. All in all, I'd say this is an above average harem rom com that makes me interested to see how it will continue to develop. Also I completely forgot to add this in the potential heroines section but he did receive a mysterious letter like 20 or 30 chapters ago implying perhaps a more obsessive heroine, moreso than the others. <<less

Just started reading this - almost put off by the honestly pretty shallow reviews. So far, I'm glad I did. I get where one reviewer is coming from about the racial slant, but honestly its not like that, the person is actually a dark skinned japanese friend and its obviously lowbrow humor and only lasts a second, not this shocking and world-stopping silliness as it is told. I have respect for every single being on this planet, its not easy to live for anything out there. If you suck, you... more>> suck, there is no point in me blaming your community, or anyone else for that matter and making generalizations. Its just juvenile. Anyway, the only other thing I would make a comment on, is that right off the bat this is certainly NOT a standard trope thing. Well, they are there but to be played with. For the first time, I think, each of the, so far, female characters that he runs into are coming from different events in completely different worlds/situations in which they had been a protagonist - and they are all simultaneously coming together based on those situations. Its kind of a neat thing - I am hoping the author has a little fun with this and gets clever with the parody. Translation is also good so far, no problems - thanks for picking this up! <<less

Generic, trope heavy, girls chasing guy for all kinds of silly reasons.

has domineering student council president, childhood loli friend, little step sister..... it’s incredibly generic. Also the author is very bigoted. I’d recommend anything else

Infuriating... This novel tests the limits of the reader's patience.

The characters and the story have no major problems for me... But the interaction between the wimpy MC and the first heroin is unbearable, she was forced by her system to make an advance on him but he doesn't want any relationship... So what we end with is an MC who accepts whatever she does but acts as if he is a helpless lamp with no choice, and of course, he will never take measures to put her in her place... more>> or show a clear-cut rejection to her attempt to manipulate him, he doesn't even try to change the dynamic of this relationship in any way.

The more infuriating part is that he doesn't hate her pe*vert (or forceful) advance but acts as if he does to keep some kind of imaginary face or values. (but again will think of any excuse to never refuse her advance)

It's just an upsetting thing to read, especially when the relationships with the other heroines are quite good and lovely. <<less

Pretty generic as of now. If you want a generic JP rom-com then this is one of the better ones. A complete doormat MC who bends over to the will of other characters without any resistance, the general harem tropey FMCs. The side characters are what I have enjoyed since they are recurring and make it feel like they do not just exist to help/oppose the MC.

In the latest chapters he is starting to accept the advances and we are only a third of the way there but this looks... more>> to be a good novel to pass your time if your main novel is on hold. Just turn off your brain and have some fun.

P.S.-
Spoiler

I don't like his moralistic bs to reject the sister character so if the author doesn't actually make him accept her then I will reduce the rating to 1 star later. If it doesn't end with a true harem end then also it deserves a 1 star for false advertising of being a harem novel when it isn't.
