It's hard to find a good novel that takes place in a game world and focuses on levelling, and unfortunately, this one ain't it either.

The story is average in quality. It isn't the best, but it's not particularly bad either. There isn't much action, with the story focusing mostly on explaining the game mechanics and praising the MC for being a god-sent genius in the game world.

It essentially reads like a self-insert fanfiction power fantasy of a JRPG (final fantasy) fan. The world is underdeveloped compared to the games it... more>> is based on, with much of the knowledge missing or regarded as unreadable ancient text. The people in this world aren't the brightest either, focusing more on training their bodies rather than ranking up their professions.

But in comes the MC, armed with extensive game knowledge that he accumulated over a decade of playing the game series.
Spoiler

He masters most professions before reaching the age of 12 and is called the messenger of the gods. He drives away a monster that even 1000 skilled knights could barely scratch, with only a motley crew of less than 20 people.

[collapse]
The overall power scaling is convoluted, with the MC sometimes making immense progress in only a few months, while at other times, he makes significantly less progress over the years.

All in all, it isn't a bad novel. Might be something decent to read if you're bored. Just don't think too much and you might enjoy it.

Also, the translation is not bad but could use a bit of work. Name changes occur sometimes, dialogue is a bit inconsistent. <<less
