After breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, Jiang Qing added a stranger on WeChat.

The stranger’s WeChat name was: “Love Me a Bit Longer.”

Jiang Qing messaged him: “What do you mean by ‘a bit longer’? Sex?”

The reply from the other side was: “You can have ‘a bit longer’ of whatever you want.”

Jiang Qing snorted and excitedly messaged: “Is it really that ‘long’? Show me a picture…”

Jiang Qing thought the other person wouldn’t respond.

After a while, a photo suddenly appeared before her eyes.

In the photo, that thing was hanging there, substantial and large.

A sweet and spicy story with a light plot.

The female lead is 19, the male lead is 28.

The male lead has known the female lead since her childhood; you could say he watched her grow up.

Note: This is a sweet 1v1 story! The male lead exhibits assertive love in the early stages, so those who mind should be cautious. Please refrain from making inappropriate comments and stay on the same chapter.

Hmmmm... so far this novel seems to be exactly what the summary portrayed. I admit I cl**ked thanks to the bait of a handsome firefighter. Unfortunately his profession doesn’t play any actual role in the story other than giving him extra access to areas he shouldn’t be, giving off the vibe of a complete rogue rather than a righteous hero who risks himself to save lives.

Now I will mention something about the triggering content that works both for and against the story. ... more>>

He 100% sexually assaults and even r*pes her. The summary hints that they have a past and that this will be important later, but at this stage she clearly does not recognize or remember him. The only hint so far is a mention about how she loved ice cream because she would tempt “people” to lick it off by smearing it across her lips when she was younger. I suspect that is foreshadowing about the neighbor being the one she kept tempting. r*pe in any scenario is not cool. That is why this content works AGAINST the story. The act is indefensible.

The positive aspect is one: the description of her mentality as a victim seems to be on point for once. She concedes because he is stronger than her and also because the first few times did not pass her bottom line. He is still viewing her anger as coquettishness of a lover and did not take her threat to call the police seriously. He basically offered to hand her the phone himself as long as she let him wash her up first. This MC may concede under coercion, but she is fully aware that she did not consent and rightfully pissed at him for it. She compromises with him over and over because her parents locked her out and she can’t have anything go wrong so close to the college entrance exam. Oh yeah: she’s getting isolated at school and at home because pictures of a kiss her neighbor forced on her were spread by her Ex and made its way to parents and teachers. Bro thinks they are in a normal romantic relationship because he’s been crushing on her for at least a decade, and clearly does not realize the profound negative impact he is having on her. She gets some revenge on him in chapter 23 and hopefully it makes him realize she has not actually accepted him.

The author has managed to capture the subtle anger that can’t be directly expressed despite resistance during the act and the helplessness and unwillingness to share with anyone after the r*pe is over. The main character here attempts to cut off contact with her assaulter more than once, but fails. He knows where she goes to school and where she lives: the somewhat invisible pressure of a stalker. He does not seem to need much to get her compliance giving him an illusion of consent, but she truly just has no way out whether due to age, circumstance, or shame. He will probably get the girl in the end (and maybe she does recognize him and there will be a reveal later they are roleplaying or she has amnesia that her ex took advantage of or some other cliche whitewashing segment), but for now the author’s portrayal of r*pe does not just skip over her internal struggles like they didn’t happened. This heroine even almost called the police! Maybe that shouldn’t be a big deal, but it is. My expectations on the topic may be a bit low thanks to how normalized most Asian novels treat r*pe and use it as a common romantic plot device (ew).

sidenote for translator:

I’m really tired of cleaning up your novel pages. Your past few months of submissions have been extremely lazy. Most novels are missing important fields like year, whether the novel is licensed, descriptions, authors, original publishers, etc. Some of these help determine whether your submissions meet site requirements (ie checking the original source to verify it is not an English original or pure MTL) to get approved. You’ll see a much better success rate for chapter approvals if you have filled out your novel pages correctly omg. I wouldn’t rant normally but it has been a long time since I have seen y’all create one without issues.
