This is one of the first stories that I read solely for the sake of the ML.

The idea was good, but the execution lacking. It might be because of the author's age. She's probably a naive pre-teen that wants to write a 'mature'-originally-25-yo character that after reincarnating acts like she's 11 and hypocritically becomes a worsened version of the sister she despises.

She talks about finding hapinness, but we never see her plans in motion. All we see is her treating the only person who was good to her in her... more>> previous life like tr*sh. She likes to excuse herself with 'he'll suffer if he's with me', but goes about to torture him.

ML is the loyal dog, kinda tsundere-ish ex-badboy turned good type. Honestly, it should have not worked this well. But it did. The ML makes me want to see him have a happy ending....

I felt like an old mother disapproving of my son's wedding but resigning herself to fate. "Ok son, if you like her... Mom will be here to catch you when you fall. There, there." <<less

It started out strong! I was very impressed with the novel at first, MC's experiences made me cry several times.

MC is a strong character, who wants to break free from her shackles and live for herself. However, MC is described inconsistently. In one chapter she was not good at scheming, in another she had seven years of extra experience and was determined to get to the top. This was very confusing.

What annoyed me most, though, was ML. Yes, he is handsome, and can be sweet... But he creates trouble all... more>> the time. When he accepted the help of MC's rival heir-apparent, and did not tell MC clearly what happened, it was enough for me. I dropped it at c59.

Maybe I'll reread it someday, but, for now, ML is too annoying. <<less

I couldn't even finish it. The MC irritated me to no end with how she was treating the ML. She was really acting hot and cold with him for no reason. She acted like he made her life bad in the first life, when he did the complete opposite. I really didn't like the way she was treating him.

This novel confuses my feelings. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Its sometimes sweet but sometimes seems very long-winded, prolly 45:55. Aside from the sisters' long-lasting and nonsensical pk that isn't the least bit appealing or stimulating, mainly because of MC.

ML is very straight forward and consistent. Not the best but definitely worth loving. Almost all characters, even Ji Feifei's princess syndrome and her parent's negative IQ are very consistent. Meanwhile, MC is very confusing.

Her character setting itself is very vague. The only consistent thing to her... more>> is this vagueness. Sometimes she's a fighter, then suddenly she's not. Theres also how she treats the ML. Hot and cold, push and pull. I already pity ML because of his past and now he even feels inferiority and his insecurity is getting stimulated cause of MC. Her reason in the beginning was that she didnt want to be the cause of ML's madness due to love, but she obviously didnt mind anymore in the later chapters and still, keeps pushing and pulling as if to just pull his string. Even ML's friends think she's just pulling him along. <<less

TLDR 5 stars hits the emotional notes it aims for really well. It's a very good read

Pluses: The MC and the ML have a really great relationship. Her nuclear "family" is thoroughly infuriating and will drive you to grind your teeth. The story flow was also very good

Minuses: The best part was the 1st side story. There's needless story complications that strain suspension of disbelief. Some of the plot threads fall very flat

This was indeed HEARTWARMING.

The plot was so good, everything tied up --- no loose ends. The love story of the main characters is phenomenal. It can be one of the greatest love of all time.

Here, the rain reminds of a love during youth which then lasted forever.

This was one of the best novels that I have read so far. Not too much of dog blood drama. Its really a story that depicts a love full of honesty, trust, and one that transcends time. There were two points in the story which made me cry bitter tears.

The time after when Xie Sui gets into an accident and both of them are thinking for the other one. One desperately tries to push the other away while the other desperately holds on. This whole timeline was really touching.

Next. The whole epilogue was a masterpiece. Well the whole parallel universe concept was a bit out of place but who cares. Usually its the MC who gets to see the past life of ML after her death but it had to be their daughter this time. I loved how the daughter was so unruly like her dad yet so sensible like her mother. The line that hit me the most was

Although I miss Xiaobai very much, but if it is really a dream, I want to stay with my father and not wake up."

"why?"

"I just can't bear to... let the current father be alone." ????? pleaseeeee.

And I just love how she accompanied Xie Sui in the parallel world until his death even when he wanted to send her back. This epilogue was by far my most favourite one so far.

It was good in the beginning, it could have been written a bit better, I didn't like the way MC treats the ML and also the MLs behaviour sometimes, this is a bit realistic but I wish MC took better decisions, I mean she was given a second chance, rebirth, she could have done so much, but she's always being half hearted with ML, I just can't read it anymore

After completing this novel, I specifically registered an account for the first time even though i've been using novelupdates to find stories to read for so many years.I feel upset for the author (lol). So I came here to rate it 5*.

You might find the MC confusing at first, I too feel conflicted why she treat the ML like that but I kinda understood later on.

She decided to live with him despite not knowing what she really feels for him in their past lives just bec ML saved her.

So on... more>> her second chance at life, she doesnt want to involved him in her conflict with her family. She just want him to live peacefully and prevent those tragedies that might happen to ML. (but she ultimately cannot let him go in the end)

MC is a kind of person where in once you decided on something, she stick on to it, she perseveres and never let go. She's kind but once you touch her bottom line she can be ruthless. ML is one of the badboy type where in the world forsake him and he gives up on the world but struggles to get out of the mud just for the sake of the MC.

I love their lovestory, so sweet, full of hardships but still struggle to survive, never give up, and the trust they have on each other is sooooo admirable...

Overall the story is quite boring at first but you'll get hook in the end. <<less

After reading this novel I decided that I really have to rate this. Its so fluffy and tragically enchanting. I really want to go inside this novel just to tear the faces of the people who have hurt the main characters.

There's only 3 chapters so far, but so far so good! The translation quality is really good ?

I'm really looking forward to the romance, the ML is definitely going to dote on her A LOT.

I really want to read about their relationship from before, because just from her talking about it, it seems like it was very passionate and loving. They haven't said yet that either of them are asexual, so reading about how they went about things is hopefully going to be heartwarming ?

basically, the first half of the novel tells how much ML loves FL while the rest tells how much FL loves ML

one thing I love, tho it takes time, FL is indeed getting stronger yet her ways arent that vicious and ML is slowly getting matured as his behavior and attitude is much calmer

but for real, what's wrong with FL's parents and sister????? Why so partial???? And it's true everything has 2 sides, you can regard FL as her sister's personal bank blood or FL as a savior of her... more>> sister in which her sister's life is in her hands

what I regret the most is why suddenly there's no story about ML's little brother? He is so cute and his way to get into ML's life is so funny and entertaining

initially FL doesnt want to get close with ML because she wants to prevent from su*cide (just like in her previous life, after she died, ML went revenge and die for her. So she wants to prevent this from happening. But yeah you know, ML chases FL all the way and FL realized that she no longer can avoid ML because it is fate for them to be together.

anyway, they got together around chp 40. Tho there's a little bit break-up drama because ML has an accident, is most likely a one-man show of ML.

and for real, for the 2nd time ML asks FL to break up, I really hope that FL forgets him lol tho we know ML had to propose a break up because of FL's grandma and his current condition

all in all can be considered a good read, tho the fluff is not many but you can see how much they love each other yet tragedies always happen. No worries it's a happy ending and the extra story is so heartwarming <<less

The MC sucks. This is her second chance at life and she still doesn't really know what to do. She keeps going hot and cold with the ML and she knows some of his past/trauma so why play with him like this?

Also she's an 'adult' but she acts like a teen. The author keeps describing her as mature and aloof... she's none of those things.

The ML has his own issues but MC just strings him along for what.

Could have been better.

Really heartwarming. There is many instances where it made you feel sad but you won't feel bore for one moment. Good storyline, background design is good. Romance between MC and ML is really good. Character growth is visible. Overall great story to enjoy.

It started off good. Good characterization, but it goes downhill somehow, I'm expecting so much drama for the MC's fight for being a chairman and leaving off her 'leech family' but her 'supposedly rivals' we're caught in circumstances that makes it anticlimactic, at least to me.

MC and ML romance was good, I've only read MTL, hence their later interactions after they graduated high school is quite vague.

Especially the part where the ML's accident in the last life happens in their timeline. I got confused about "how? Or when does this scene happens?" Well, I'm just assuming that there's a flashback that happens.

So far it's good, you can try to read this novel if you're bored and don't know what to do hahahaha.

I feel like this novel could be shorter, not this much long. I love the ML and MC. They're not that OP like other main leads but they're not s*upid either.

I think this novel has one of my favorites ML, the devotion, the innocence, the love he has for the FL is so admirable. The FL is alright, it felt her whole purpose in the story is to show how great the ML. But still I really enjoyed the story. The romance is a bit atypical as the love between both characters is so strong that the push and pull are really superficial. Read it because ML is one of the best.

It started strong and I enjoyed it. The first half of the story seems well written and although FL is a bit confusing in her attitude she fixes it later on and becomes extremely loyal and pampering.

My problem lies with the second half where the relationship fluff is the best omg I love them, but the plot seems half written, it lacks depth and important characters lose screen time and are hardly mentioned which is quite annoying and later on, some characters... more>> which seemed interesting were not resolved in my opinion such as ML’s dad.

Read it for the ML and the later fluff. I loved him so much <3 <<less
