The story of an emergency room doctor dying from overwork and crossing into another world.

The sails of the great voyage have been unfurled.

The steam engine has yet to roar to life.

The glory of the Radiant Lord illuminates the continent, while across the sea, the churches of the gods and mages support the monarchy.

Dwarves freely roam the cities of the kingdom, and the legends of werewolves, vampires, elves, and dragons never fade.

In such an era, Wu Zhou, an emergency department doctor who died from working overtime, transmigrates into the body of Garrett, a young city guard.

Teammate: Oh no! The Captain is seriously injured, his intestines are spilling out!

Garrett: Help me up; I can still stitch!

Teammate: …What?

Garrett: …Apply a healing spell to where I stitched, let it grow… no, first apply it to the stitched layer, then the muscle layer, and so on.

Teammate: …What?

Garrett: Uh-oh, the healing spell is too fast, the stitches grew inside the wound!!!

When modern medicine meets magic and divine arts, what brilliant sparks will it ignite in this New world?

Garrett: Learning magic, mastering divine arts, expanding territories, and clashing with the church… whether you believe it or not, I just wanted to open a hospital.

Please don't continue to read the spoiler if not read beyond ch. 300+.

I could say it's decent, and I might have a lot of problems with MC, but overall, it's good. Don't be affected by my reading experience (healing novels are extremely rare).

If you have interest with healing and medical, you can read this. If anyone who have time on their lives, then you can read this.

BE WARNED!!!!

(There'll be rants on spoilers below so please be warned.)

Spoiler

Sometimes I wanna bash his head really hard on the concrete wall.

I know that it's already stated on the novel that MC could be naive since his mind is already filled with experiments (since this arc is about experiments, bacteria, and recreating magic that have a synonymous effect in modern technology) but my f*cking god, the sh*t he says makes me doubt if this dude is a f*cking emergency medical doctor and also a f*cking deputy director for Christ sake.

Like my anger levels reached to the highest when he said THOSE WORDS IN FRONT OF ALL PEOPLE in A FREAKING BALL!

God, the importance of confidentiality is immediately thrown off out the window.

BUT THANK f*ck TO LIN EN.

"Why are you talking so much? - Yes, I know you want to help Ms. Salina, but you don't want to help her." I miscalculated, I hate this guy. But can you say a few words less?

If you want to confront him head-on, just say it. Everyone knows anyway, who asked you to say that his family is sick? How can they not fight against you?!"

But... is there really a genetic disease in their family, and they won't let anyone tell them about it? Gretel wanted to refute. Lin En glared over again:

"Do you have evidence? Can you prove it? Oh, you are a healer, so what? People beg you to cure them? People beg you to shout about your condition everywhere?!"

Preach to that!!! AMEN!!

A fun and good read, a rare thing these days with all these meta gloomy MC pouring out like a mass-produced goods from factory.

MC is a doctor (or was) that got his consciousness sent to magic world, where he uses his knowledge to help others or using his wits during battle events.

Well long story short its a good read, but lately the chapters getting shorter also, so there is that...

Edit : For TL, can we stop with the back and forth of "Aurora"'s gender?? Isn't it already established that he... more>> is a "male", cause every couple chapters or any chapters that has him in it the gender would be like "him -- her -- her -- him -- her -- her...", please just stick to the original gender... xD <<less

An excellent blend of magic and medical genres. Interesting and seamless plot progression, no useless cheats and a pretty good main character. Will recommend if you like medical and magic genres : 9/10

It's fun. The major part of this novel is applying modern medical knowledge in a fantasy world with NO CHEAT SYSTEM OR GOLDEN FINGER.

The novel also went a bit deeper into various details in techniques and technology development compared to similar novels. And MC is an emergency surgeon, a user who knows a bit about theories and the development of the technologies he uses. But, he does not know everything and makes everything by his glorious isekai protagonist's brain wrinkles and it is a breath of fresh air. The MC... more>> also often mentioned facilities, equipment, and many staff roles he missed, giving you a bit more background on the medical procedures.

I love the implementation of magic with modern medicine and science. The novel often compare and contrast how traditional magic works with modern science. A lot of it is like Throne of Magical Arcana, but much more focused on medicine and go much deeper on how they work.

As for the story.... It's OK. It is more of a vehicle to show the next medical fantasy event or develop next tools, spells, techniques, etc. But it is enjoyable enough to read and see the constant medical progress. The major conflict is the old big bad church vs the progressive scientist mages. It has good worldbuilding with a bit of different culture, religion, and fantasy species here and there. Just enough to give some flavor.

The translation is... not great. It is readable, but it has many incorrect pronouns and inconsistent names. I'd put it on the more legible side of MTL, but still not a high quality translation. <<less

I agree with the reviewer above - the MC is sometimes too focused on medicine and doesn't have any common sense to the detriment of those around him. For someone who promises not to "harm" anyone, his s*upidity risks that pledge frequently. For example, he is warned that another country's spies are looking for him, is working on a project working with plague materials (think anthrax), and doesn't think to secure his project materials, and ends up having enemy spies steal his plague materials. He also accuses a noble family... more>> in public of having a genetic disease completely unprompted - thereby ruining their marriage chances. What happened to patient-doctor confidentiality? It's an interesting, well-researched fantasy-science story, but you'll have to resist the urge to throttle the MC. <<less

I kind of never thought that I would read all the chapters available, for it to just be another one that that I'd start and abandon after 200 chapters or so, but I've been having a lot if fun. Obviously a little suspension of disbilief is needed for some of the explanations as to what's going on, but this is genuinely a really fun, light read with interesting mechanics to the world. The protagonist is a fine character in my book, and the magical and medical elements are really in-depth... more>> and connected beautifully. Don't mind that english isn't my first language, even if it was, I probably wouldn't get all the medical jargon, but that did not take away from the enjoyment of reading :) <<less
