after knowing everything we know about her and hearing everything everyone says about how she is the epitome of motherhood and Chinese feminine standards of gentle wonderful obedient beauty who never makes a fuss and follows along (men she is into) so obediently...... To learn that in high school she just wanted a low-key highschool fling, used the ml's dad as an excuse to break up with the ml, basically didn't love him anymore and was excited to leave him.... WAS WILD. She's cold. Damn. I mean tbh power to her. She didn't want to be married to him and live such a linear life. But she coldass ruthless. The process of being in love, then breakup, and having no more love for him was so clean and ruthless and quick for a teenager she was at the time!!!

I thought I was reading wrong when I suspected she got back together with the ML mostly due to wanting to leave her daughter w support if she died aka using his feelings. I mean she likes him ish but you can tell in the beginning when she's accepting him, it is not bc she likes him so much she needs to be with him by any measure....

I mean he's desperate enough for her so I don't even think he minds even if he knows that. Just wild this women is so two-faced unexpectedly!?! Lol. Nuts. The ML is kinda sad / pitiful lol. He was so good to her and loyal and loving the whole time for years and in highschool but she just simply... Didn't have the same depth of feelings and didnt want him until I guess she thought it would good for her daughter for her to get back with him. Lol. But the ML is pretty psycho so it makes sense

I'm just mind blown by the unexpected personality depth of two-faced ness from such a "gentle woman" it's honestly...... KINDA REALISTIC. the gentle ones are the most two-faced ruthless ones!!! It's kinda funny. She was emotionally like those players who don't wanna settle (in highschool) even though she wasn't technically a player. SHE ICE COLD LIKE A REAL PLAYER THO TT

Anyways personal preference: I would have preferred to have the reborn daughter as the MC and have more details on her. I know the moms relationship story is considered fresher as a concept since she is a modern widow. But I dunno it's too much melodrama at some point for me. Reading about her daughter's story is just more simple and clean for me. I always feel happy reading her scenes with her friends. Too bad but oh well.

Omg it's so dramatic..... Holy. Look I'm a wholesome book kind of enjoyer and this isn't it. this is giving (TR) DRAMA. :o tbh the ji family story is so unnecessary. It's literally a product of rich bish politics. The feng boy isnt even totally at fault bc he's only 15 and he was verbally /emotionally abused growing up, knows his dad is an a**hole, but also only has an abusive aunt or manipulative dad as options for parents. The ending was so extra in the sense that tbh everyone is in the wrong here. Literally everyone. The aunt is actually crazy and need therapy 10k years ago. The father is a sh*t hole. The stepmom doesn't care about anyone but her family and wealth or else she would've been a good option ngl to raise feng well. The feng boy was a product of bad. Upbringing and only planned to use his dad anyways too get revenge. Later. He needed guidance. So then why did this story exist. Tbh author why. What moral of the story is here. Please tell me. Bc all of them are in the wrong... Lol I don't understand. But whatever drama, entertainment, lights, enjoyment and all that jazz for thee audience I guess....
