See, I do love fluff. But if the fluff is braindead with no hint of a single coherent plot point I don't think I'm able to cope with it. And with this one the cringe far surpasses the fluff in my oppinion. (Holy hell you'd think the heroine was being actively brainwashed by the MC by the way she was acting).

And it's not even the plot's fault (I mean it can't be if it barely exist), but the author's writing (or lack thereof) that made reading this feel so insuferable.

I... more>> had to drop merely at chapter 5 or else I fear my brain might spontaneously explode from the secondhand embarrassment I got from reading this.

+1 star for MC not being a generic dickless wimp so there's that. <<less

It certainly is a cute story, so I suppose that tag was rather fitting. Though it does lack substance to a certain extent, I wouldn't say that ruins the novel. Between chapters 40 and 50, there's quite a bit of drama that serves to cement how Sora feels about Alice.

At around chapter 40

Spoiler

Sora's grade goes to a forest camp, at the same time that 3 particularly heinous delinquents have their suspension lifted, I'm sure you know where this is going. The delinquents try hitting on Alice not once, but twice. She rejects them both times of course. When Sora and Alice are out at night walking, the 3 doucheketeers hit something over his head, nearly killing him surprisingly. With Sora seemingly out of the picture, there goal is of course to r*pe Alice. But Sora is an absolute beast, and rises from the grave to beat them into next Tuesday. Afterwards, he's sent to the hospital, and this is where he admits that he loves her.

From 41 to 45

Spoiler

A transfer student arrives, and naturally the very next thing he does after his class introduction is to hit on Alice. This sparks a rivalry between the transfer student and Sora. A new character, Kouren I believe it was, is introduced at the same time we hear about Sora's time in junior high. The transfer student challenges Sora in a game of soccer for Alice's affection. He invites Kouren and they completely demolish the transfer student. We never really hear about the transfer guy again, but that's only natural I suppose since his arc is over.

Around chapter 50

Spoiler

We heard in the transfer student arc that Sora was falsely accused of s*xual assault. He apparently had an exceedingly bright future as a professional soccer player, but after a girl confesses to him and he rejects, she spreads rumors that he assaulted her, thus staining his reputation and also his desire to continue with soccer. I bothered mentioning this because, a new Starbucks opens up in the neighborhood, and of course, the amoeba who spread those rumors happened to be working there, along with 2 tr*shy friends of hers. The 3 b*tchketeers, if you will, since all the parasites come in sets of 3s in this novel. They try to ruin his relationship with Alice, but she, being an absolute chad, verbally annihilates them, and they walk out, presumably having not ordered what they wanted.

From chapter 55 onward

Spoiler

Everyone in Sora's grade graduates and it focuses on his and Alice's university life, and with horrendous phrasing from Alice, the novel ends with them getting married.

All in all, it wasn't the most amazing or ground breaking romance novel I've ever read, but it was an enjoyable read and told the story it set out to tell. I wouldn't quite give it a 5, but it definitely deserves a 4 at least. <<less

Amazing~ *chef kiss

The plot slightly different from other. He's a loner but not really, he had friends & don't get bullied by everyone (he's handsome, smart & athletic). He got trauma from middle school, don't want to be friends with girls, but he man's up pretty quick so you don't have to holding yourself while reading it. There also not a single character who talk sh*t about MC & heroin become a couple cuz he is actually a riajuu but choose to be loner

There's a tragedy on there, but maaaan~... more>> the taste of karma/revenge is serving so cold~ bet his enemies would have a trauma for life & can't get a decent job lmao. Don't worry, this just happen for 3 chapter. He's pretty much heartless toward his enemies

Romance? She's pretty quick hitting on him on the first sight lol. Blonde busty American. She's always getting bullied on every school so the time she got together with MC, she's very much depend on him. <<less
