Hilarious and interesting. Got me so hooked. It is on the "extremely possessive ML troupe" (a yandere one at that) but nevertheless it is funny. The MCs and MLs polar opposite personality creates a humorous vibe-the MC most of the time. And the MCs sucking up and antics is amusing.

I've got mixed feelings about this story overall. The female lead is pretty great; smart, driven, plucky, etc. The story is interesting, the translation is well-done. But the male lead, the male lead... oh my God, where do I even start. He's physically abusive. He's a rapist. He's a mu*derer. He doesn't even know how to talk or relate to people. Fortunately he's in surprisingly few plotlines and the FL manages him pretty well (this time around), or it would be unreadable. Guys...I know that this story is very typical, unoriginal and cliche but seriously, I don't even know why I love it so much. Our MC is very beautiful, smart and sly. Honestly even though the author makes her seem like she is an almighty goddess with the most perfect looks and personality, I can forgive all that because the plots and dialogues make up for it. She can easily coax our cute devil ML when he's mad which is probably one of the best things in this novel. One thing... more>> I don't like about this novel is the side stories, I get why it's there, she's still in school, blah blah blah but sometimes, it gets so long. Things that I find to my liking; characters easy to difrentiate, thanks to each one having an easy to remember habit for example, scheming or hot tempered.

Secondly the plot is smooth sailing and without withheld explanations as to how the plot progressed.

Last I want to say the characters of the MC and ML do seem somewhat underdeveloped for their respective ages, however the plot also explains that. The MC was first pampered by family into s*upidity then making naive decisions, later she was imprisoned for 7 years by ML. It... more>> would be impossible to mature when she is between a wall (ML) and a rock (shen menqi).

She is just starting on her life decisions.

The ML is not much different to MC with the extreme temper as he lost his parent at a sensitive age where he should vaguely start to remember clearly things in life but it was all snatched from him. He refuses to acknowledge anything that does not affect him as such building his own castle in the sky which derives ignorance when dealing with emotions which makes for an emotionally underdeveloped ML and maybe naivety?

Clearly he is more of a character developed wrong due to unexpected loss, and he does seem to clearly give all or nothing when it comes to his heart which would give equal amount of pain. As such an explanation for possessive ML attitude.

A (ML) who has lost something important will easily realize the fear of losing it and would be extremely possessive of anything left that incurs good emotions (MC) sums it up. <<less

The ML is a pure yandere.. He has some psychological issues due to his past.. Other than that, he's the typical ML from any other novels; tall, outstandingly rich and overly handsome.. Cold to others and very sweet to MC.. VERY possessive

I like the MC.. She's smart, kind and outspoken but not arrogant.. Due to her hate plus bad MSG by people surrounding her in previous life, she only saw ML as how a monster he is.. Which changes as the story goes on

As for the delinquent part.. That's how... more>> MC is before her rebirth due to certain reasons..

The story is nice.. It started when MC is in final year of high school and from the looks of it, this novel is gonna continue to college and work life

And you have to understand that this is more than 400+ chapters and seeing it's sister novel, it most likely will go for more than 1000+ chaps..

To sum it up.. This novel kinda reminds me of one of those vampires and werewolves novels with possessive MLs in western novels.. But that change in the later chapters, when FL and ML relationship develops further, it turns the novel to be sweet as candy and fluffy as white tiger's fur.. It doesn't really show in the earliest chapters but later on, the sweet love gradually gets to 100% <<less

Edit: and yet another translator gets #f*** by Qidian, (Im sorry Lotus translations, this is all I can do) seriously never support there reviewers, they are biased and will rate anything 5 star even if there's only 5 chapters, read reviews here instead.

Huh... honestly, im speechless.. I was about to give the harshest most unbridled review I will probably ever write and tear this novel apart but I was tongue tied after the end of the most recent chapter (76)

At first glance you'll see your generic chinese romance... more>> novel tropes, S class A--hole male lead, bubbly yet headstrong female lead, s*upid villains, etc, and even though these elements are prevalent throughout almost every chapter, the author actually doesnt tell you everything, sure he/she might hint a couple of circumstances here and there, and you'll probably think that the end doesnt justify the means (mostly the male lead actions) , you'll soon realize the circumstances, even though its hard to swallow, actually are logical (still hate the male lead tho) .

What I like the most about this novel is the female lead, you'd think that she's a woman with little to no backbone, probably has a bd*m fetish and is s*upid beyond belief, she's actually quite cunning.

-1 star for over praising the male lead walking corpse/fridge as I like to call him

Yes, has all the cliched trope of a rebirth novel, where MC tries to improve her life second time around, but I'm loving it...

Has all the standard cliches, overbearing ML (warning: violence, r*pe etc, definitely 18+ tag) white lotus green tea bish rivals, but MC is intelligent and fights back... reflective, i.e second time around she really considers the whole situation to plan her moves and makes use of allies. And she tries to understand the ML instead of just rejecting him as before... shades of beauty and the beast... more>> definitely.

This novel appeals to your inner M xD <<less

The MC is super likeable, and though this is a second chance, she's not completely occupying herself with taking revenge out on everyone who harmed her in the past. She just wants to go to school! And, you know, not be forced to stay in a house against her will and get abused by the ML who is completely crazy about her.

Wasted my tears when her brother "died." Why the quotations? Well, turned out he didn't die but his death was convenient for him to enact his revenge for his dead lover... who turned out did not die. Then MC erasing her memories because of the immense guilt of killing her grandfather... yeah, he's not dead either. Apparently no one really dies. The one I really feel for was the 2nd ML who'd truly loved MC and MC never gave a f*ck after sleeping with ML. _/_

It was good at first then it got really bad for me the longer I viewed (using the manhwa as the basis). Some of those reasons were....

-Any time a serious atmosphere appears its broken down by MC's "thoughts" or "humor".

-MC is ret*rded suddenly in times when important events comes wherein she doesn't seem to know what she did wrong when she's been digging a pit for herself everytime.

My second full read through. So playfully written that you can tell the author doesn't take herself too seriously. Many extricate plots and twists mashed together with comedic or touching exchanges between friends, family, and lovers, keeping you on your toes. This is a story that will make you sad and angry one moment and astonished and refreshed the next. There are quite some intense moments but also lots of comedy relief. Character back stories in the side stories at the end are sweet and heartachingly sad. An unforgettable experience.

I'm rereading this for entertainment purposes and its always been one of my go to books for when I'm bored.

I'm gonna be honest with you, its not that great. There should definitely be several trigger warnings for this book but if you're into the borderline yandere/kinda abusive relationship trope then by all means go for it.

It's still a great read. The author here tried to sort of redo the plot of HM but with less plotholes and she almost succeeded. The one thing I keep seeing here in the reviews... more>> is that most people keep saying that the school drama is nonsensical so I'm gonna debunk it real quick. It'll include some spoilers, read with caution.

1. YWW was constanly breaking dress code, skipped class and wore borderline Halloweenish make up daily. She also had sh*t grades. This was enough reason for her to be labeled as a rebelious student and be disliked by the faculty of the private school she was attending.

2. High schools in China, just like im the west and literally anywhere else in the world, are like mini societies where the way you act and look either makes you 'popular', 'average' or a 'freak'. The freaks are usually bullied for either going against the mainstream idea of beauty or for being nerds or whatever. So no, YWW being bullied for her looks is not out of nowhere.

3. She was slandered by SMQ, someone she used to consider a friend, because SMQ used to be jealous of her for being richer then her, so when she saw the opportunity to kick YWW lower when she was already down, she took it. Again it's nothing out of the ordinary. I've seen sh*t like this happen irl.

4. That one specific teacher wanting to get rid of YWW also makes sense because YWW literally caught her hooking up with one of the school directors. The school director was married to another teacher at the same school, so she was afraid YWW might spill the beans.

Anyways in short, this book needs to be fully read to be understood because everything connects. I'm not even joking, as I'm rereading I'm suddenly connecting these random moments/scenes that seem like fillers only to realize that they're foreshadowing something in the later chapters.

With this said, I am not excusing the ML r*ping the MC.

I had read this before I even know that novelupdates exist and I was vexed when I saw that it has a whooping 3.9 stars! Like what witchcraft is this? With the standard of NU this is an indication of a terrible book but NO! I have read this book and this book is one of my favorites in my high standard favorite books that I have. I tell you I have a high standard! And I can't really imagine or accept how some people gave this a scathing 1... more>> star? Is this a bought review, because I will be convince if it is.

From the start until the end, I have followed this book with no lacking of being hooked. The story is not unique, yes and there are certainly a lot of book that are better than this. But this book is charming on its own. The plotting really interest me and the characters was very entertaining. Aside from that, the plot twists in this book was just good. It incorporates a lot of tropes and combine it into a dazzling book that gets better the more chapter you read. This book is funny, fluffy, heartwarming, adventurous, goal oriented and mixed with more than the dozage of faceslapping someone needs but still won't made you cringe.

It's entertaining as a good book should be. I'm confident that this book deserve high reviews that it really is. <<less

Finish the story first.

I've read a lot of negative reviews and most of them didn't even reach halfway of the story. Tsk. If you give this a chance and read the whole story, you would be amaze of how great the author is. She was able to connect this thing to another thing, and I appreciate her on that it's because it's not easy to write a story at all. There's a lot of face slapping, mind-blowing, and sweet stuff in here. THIS IS REALLY GOOD!! I love everything abt this novel except the bunch of rotten villains and some dumb side characters

the ML is a cold wooden guy and SO yandere, he got jealous so fkin easily, always sulk silently and gave a chilling vibes instead of saying anything, he's extremely sticky and clingy although in my opinion he can control it a lil bit, he can't even... more>> sleep without the FL 😭, he's so obedient if the FL didn't do something that thrilled his yandere side and clinging or flirt to him, he's a beast on bed 💀 poor FL, this ML is so aggresive when he got jealous duh he got a temper, he's cute tho HAHAHAJ especially when the FL always kiss him to soothed or pamper him so that he didn't get angry, this guy actually a keeper 💗 he didn't saw the MC based on her appearance and accept everything abt her

I'd give this story a 10/10 solely for Si Yehan, I feel like a lot of novels love writing about 'dangerous MLs' only to end up with them being the opposite. SYH was the first ever ML to genuinely strike fear in my heart, he is heartlessly cruel and yet when he's with YWW he is unbelievably soft and sweet. I think this is why he is one of my favorite MLs ever despite the hundreds of novels I've read. I absolutely adored him.

The first parts of this novel is really great I tell you. This novel is the one that hooked me into CNovels but as you go further it became ridiculous on its own

There are scientific labs, they came from an experiment, the yewanwan is mot really the ye wan wan. By that arc I think I dropped this already. It doesnt make sense anymore.

But its a great read until that arc you must definitely try this one.

Need less homophobic jokes (coz wow.. there is a lot in the begin) and wayy too long for its own good.

I really like the beginning of the novel, well, not the r*pe part obviously. It was really funny to see her go through high school and working (lots of face slapping) then it moves to something else... which is fine bc there were fun parts and funny characters, but it gots so long and convulted and makes less and less sense.
