Novels with an Enemy Omniscient-God-Being that can Control what 1 Character says per Scene in-book
This is the worst Trope in existence and I hate it with a passion.

To reiterate:

The Trope I'm talking about is where there exists a semi-omnipotent-God-enemy-being that can control/influence one character at a time in a given scene, leading to scenes where 2 characters are the only ones present->prone to manipulation. This means that the Big Bad Enemy is *actively* controlling/manipulating a character in a Scene *as we, the Readers, read it*, with no apparent indication of manipulation (apart from character breaks/uncharacteristic actions/targeted statements).Ie, they are forcing the character to say/do something in an attempt to make the MC do/reveal information. Novels with these Tropes often devolve into an Information-Battle of cat and mouse, where the Big-Bad tries to forcibly setup scenes that force information reveals, and the MC does his best to avoid it.

I abhor this Trope with a passion, because it's often teased as to whether or not it exists in the early-mid Novel, but only ever clarified and revealed near the End.This leads me to second-guess and doubt everything people say/do in many books that may or may not have the Trope active, ruining some series for me.

(Novels with this Trope should be tagged Mind Control IMO... but they almost never are)(Sometimes they get tagged --Multiple POV-- or --System Administrator-- or --Schemes And Conspiracies-- which does help)

This novel is a clear example of this Trope, one that only gets confirmed like 1000+ chapters in, but is constantly hinted at and teased... more>>
