Was off to a weak start in my opinion, but the body and build up was so sweet, heartwarming and intimate and I was under... more>> the impression that she'd grown (because that's what she thought), so I had no idea until the end (until she admitted and decided for herself) that she hadn't at all and that she was still weak-minded, naive and perpetually confused. The ending was rushed and could've been better done. It wasn't a sound resolution and I wasn't made to feel happy for them even if I did want them to be together. ML also pushed her too much, was forceful and controlling, and that was heartbreaking and made me feel hollow on its own. It made me think he just liked her for her weak-willed obedience and subservience. I forgot how much I liked him for MC as a result. Make her watch you have your fun with some stranger and then force her too, sure, why not? The family didn't react too much at all either (in such an aggressive family, I was expecting some kind of fight or upheaval) so the ending was messy and disappointing and Idk how to feel about it. All my high expectations were dashed. Poor Wei Qi. Is it too late to switch at this point? But to say if I regret reading this, I don't think so. The body of it was an enjoyable, cute read. The ending was devastating for me, but I won't deny that it can't undermine how much I enjoyed and looked forward to reading the cute updates from before.
