    • I've literally never left a review before but I think I accidentally pressed a 1 star so I felt really bad and read the book !! It's not a one star I promise it's pretty good anyways just read it!!
    • ok I lied earlier and I actually read it this time but it's actually good it's right up my alley!! Ngl the books that this translator picks are always good anyways!!
    • if you guys r like me and like blurbs tho it's about this manga artist covering for her cousin I think by attending this college course but the professor's hella hot and has a nice voice which makes her wanna sleep. Also apparently our MC knew of our ML previously bc they used to run in the same upper rich circles but she's not uber rich anymore idk y tho I havent found out yet. Anyways read it and leave a five star review bc im dumb. Thanks !!

So the book is actually quite easy to understand even if it's in MTL, so you can read it via MTl if you want. I will explain why 4 stars later. For now, I want to refute back peanut butter's review. Specifically, a few points. Before that, I will explain and say out the whole gist.

MC is a manga artist, ML is a professor who is very popular among the rich people/circle. He is also a lawyer (?) MC's cousin goes overseas to be with her boyfriend, so she asks MC to help her by acting as her and attending classes, due to the fact that the class's professor is very strict. However, last minute, the class's professor changes to ML, but MC doesn't know that ML doesn't take attendance, and continues to attend class for fear. MC has frequent insomnia because of her job and deadlines, and ML has a hypnotic voice, so when she attends his class, she inevitably falls asleep. Until one day, ML notices her because he calls upon to answer a question but she doesn't know the answer to (because well, MC is a manga artist, not a lawyer).

Because of that incident, it sparks the beginning between MC and ML. The hiding of the fact that MC isn't actually a student gets exposed in chapter 15+. 2 things you need to know: 1) MC is not that old compared to ML. She is younger, but they are actually quite close in age. 2) MC actually gets attracted to him. 3) MC is not an insomniac. 4) MC actually fell for him when she was younger, but the love couldn't be kindled, because ML already left for his home. So MC didn't get a chance to say anything, resulting in not being able to fully move on. MC only realises that ML is her first love when she stumbles upon a word doc that she saved on her laptop a long time ago dedicated to her love for him.

Now to refute peanutbutter's points (I respect their opinion, don't get me wrong, but I just don't agree with it). 'MC is kinda desperate, a girl constantly tryin when you already said no and lied to you. Rejections upon rejections yet adamant.' MC is desperate and still continues to chase him because she is hopeful. It's her second love, there's no way about it. She continues to chase after him because ML doesn't know her actual age and background. Because of this, it makes sense to see why she continues to chase after him because ML rejected her because of her supposed young age and 'forbidden teacher-student relationship', not rejecting her because it's MC. Kudos to ML tho, I like that he said no because really, it feels like pe*ophilia. 'Rejections upon rejections yet adamant', I can see where you come from. It's certainly annoying when someone doesn't take no for an answer, but like, the ML doesn't stop her. I REPEAT: THE ML DOES NOT STOP HER. The ML knows she has interest in him, but he doesn't stop her from doing the things that she is doing, choosing to go along with it. She is only continuing to chase because she takes those actions as a sign of okay. I assure you, if the ML said no at some point of the conversations, or just rejected her, the MC would certainly back off (it's evident in chapter 20+). She is chasing after him because she finally gets the chance to do so because she lost the opportunity when she was younger, but she knows her limits and where she should stop. She ain't s*upid, she is just a girl in love who is trying her best to catch someone. The lying part is just, inevitable?? Like I can see why she is like that. Like bro, if you are pretending to be someone to help them by attending class in their stead, you would be scared of letting the teacher find out right? Like, aren't you scared that you might get scolded and possibly get kicked out?? She did lie to him, but she admits and says the truth to him after 17+/20+ chapters. ML also understands and accepts it. What else could you possibly want bro?

Lastly, your last point. Gods, if only it was THAT easy to start chasing after someone when they supposedly start showing signals or have interest in you. 1) You are implying that I have to wait for someone to show interest in me. That means I can wait until im 20 for someone to start showing interest in me, or 10 or even 40 years old for someone to be interested in me. You honestly think someone is gonna wait for their love/relationship to just come to them magically?? Please, if life was only that easy. Why are you wasting your time waiting for someone to show interest in you?? Get your ass off the couch and start making efforts. If you like someone, just chase them! If they reject you, then back off and move on! Bro, it's really not hard. 2) Do you know how misleading signals are? I could start chasing after a guy who supposedly is interested in me because 'signals' and then get rejected right after because "oh I only see you as a friend". That's humiliating, embarrassing and painful to get. People can get accused of being too much, or downright get accused of harrassment when it's not their intention, all because of 'SIGNAL'. Don't make light of such a subject, you sound rude, s*upid and just downright ignorant.

Now that that is done, I will explain why Im giving this novel 4*. The only reason why I'm giving this 4* is because it's painful. It's very painful to read about a girl who seems to be in an unrequited/one sided love, especially when said girl hasn't moved on in the first place. This happens for the first 20-25 chapters. Forgetting doesn't mean you moved on, you just have other things other than love to worry and care about. MC is going through such a stressful mental period, it's just painful to read. And you know it only gets more painful when ML allows her to chase after him (in chapter 23 (?)) Honestly, if you can take the angst, be my guest. I just think the painfulness is not worth enduring cause the plot isn't that deep. After chapter 25-30, instead of Lin Mian, it's Qingyan chasing, so it becomes a little fluffy after that. I will continue reading it anyway because I'm a sucker for stories like this :") <<less

Maybe I'm too early to have a say in this but all I could say is that the MC kinda desperate. Rejections upon rejections yet adamant. Althou it's quite funny but irl scenario it's annoying. A girl constantly tryin when you already said no and lied to you. Cute for others but not my cup of tea, imo you could start chasing other when they also shows some signals or when you could pull yourself together to not delude yourself in your own made romance.
