Vivian, the Empire’s only spiritualist.

She had an intimate relationship with a man who appeared in her dreams while she was studying the art of spiritualism abroad for three years.

She thought she’d bid goodbye to her dream partner after she returned home.

“Ah, Father. The man behind His Majesty… Who is that?”

“Who are you talking about? Ah, did you mean Lord Orpheus?”

Sir Roger Orpheus, the “mad dog” she had heard of? What should she do if they meet again? No way, they won’t be able to meet again.

But, as if to laugh at Vivian’s delusional thoughts, the two slowly became tangled with one another.

For a smut novel, its' smut scenes were way too dry and repetitive:

Vivian opens her eyes in the dream, Roger starts groping, "mph, hah~", Roger proceeds to either " exchange saliva" (tf is that expression bro I can't even-) or "suck her petals" and other flowers, she comes, he rams, woke up then rinse and repeat the previous chap 2 chaps later.

Not to brag or anything lol, but I've read considerable number of smut, this is just meh.

On the side note, I like proactive whamen, this gurl here just accepts... more>> whatever comes fort? Yeah, Roger keeps repeating that she has a great talent for seduction when the most she does is shaking her waist a little but hey, who am I to judge their s*x life lol?

All flowery language bore me to death so -1 for translation, -2 for boring smut: 2 stars. <<less

I'm really enjoying this. The smut is well written and both sides are consenting (so hard to find that). Both main characters are quite likeable and even most of the side characters are likeable. The interactions between all the characters can be pretty amusing at times. I'm curious what the deal is with the dreams, but I feel like that's going to be a slow reveal. Not a lot to say about the plot at this point - it still feels like the stage is being set somewhat. I suspect... more>> when they get to the demon subjugating (or whatever it was called) that they're getting ready for is when the plot will really start to get interesting. 4 stars for now, but will revisit later.

Edit: have now read chapters 22-59 (above was based on first 21 chapters only)

As a few others have said - the smut is getting kinda boring/repetitive. I actually enjoy their interactions with each other when they're awake more at this point. The story is pretty slow moving and it almost feels like the dream mystery has taken a back seat to the new plot points. Still, consent in smut stories is hard to find and they're actually likeable characters all around so I'll keep reading. Will circle back if anything changes. <<less

The smut scenes were ight. Nothing great, but I find that they’re usually dry in sort of every smut novel I read so maybe i’m biased. It’s repetitive is the point.

the actual story imo is better. It has a relatively good balance between smut and actual storyline, but it progresses pretty slow. Theres a lot of talk and words thrown at you, but not much actual plot sustenance or information you know? Sorta feels like we’re running in circles.

it’s a bit disappointing because the author really had a great story... more>> idea. I mean, FL and ML meeting in dreams isn’t a new original idea, but I havent seen it done much, nor ever in the smut genre. However, it’s slow pacing is whats tempting me to drop it. Slow pacing doesnt bother me but I just feel like the author focuses on small things that dont seem very interesting, but brush over ideas that could have really made the story fun. Im impatient because every time they meet in their dreams, not only is the smut repetitive, so are their conversations. Its sort of this annoying misunderstanding that is supposed to be the main plot point, but its not written in a very good way.

So I wouldn’t recommend, but read it if you want I guess. The translations are good (as expected of rainofsnow), but it’s one of those stories you easily forget about. Sort of sad, since it really had potential... <<less

i adore this novel. The smut is okay--it's not jaw dropping hot but it is just sexy enough that it's not bad to read. The absolute best part of it though is the enthusiastic consent the FL has. The FL loves the s*x she has with the ML and that's so rare in these smut novels. She actually does participate, but I'm not going to lie so much of mainstream media focuses on the man's pleasure that it's pretty refreshing reading mainly how good he makes her feel.

the actual character... more>> development? Gorgeous. We have a FL who has an entire life--hobbies, friends, a career--completely separate from the ml. She didn't need him before, and she doesn't need him now. She is her own independent human being and not just the ml's lover.

the plot is pretty good too. It isn't boring and is interesting enough to make me read more (and as someone with [diagnosed] adhd who has the concentration of a fish, that's saying something).

so tldr: it's a good novel. I would highly recommend it to those who want a cute and consensual smut story with a strong FL and an endearing ml. <<less

For those who're only looking for smut scene, this novel is indeed boring, I couldn't deny it that the scene describing the bed scene is so monotone, lack of feeling and had many repetitive point that makes it a bit boring. But for the story point of view, it's really good tho. You might feel a little bored in the early chapter since mostly it only talk about smut which it isn't very interesting (so I just skim it) but as the story goes, it slowly became better, the main... more>> conflict of the story started to rise, the emotional scene is developing better too so if you have no problem with a not well written smut scene and able to accept the story, go ahead and read it :) <<less

You come for the smut, you stay for the plot. There's intriguing elements regarding her powers, why they encounter in the first place, an unsolved dilemma that forces them to interact in reality.

About the smut being boring: We, as readers, start when they've already been in a "physical" relationship for three years. The author is realistic in the sense of the characters like what they like and if it plays off as boring after a while, well the characters are enjoying it? I think it comes off more as if the author is not catering the smut to the readers. The author isn't writing to convince us the MC and ML are attractive. It's to convince us they are deeply attracted to each other.

Could the writing be more descriptive? Absolutely. But it's an enjoyable ride nonetheless with consentual interc**rse for a 1v1 female MC x ML. <<less

Its very goood! I didnt expect it to be this good actually when I started reading it

Their relationship was beautiful and very sweet, basically they where fated lovers and some chapters almost gave me diabete

Also the Novel have a good plot too and its not only smut

Furthermore the ending was pretty good too

at the end of main story we read that after few years of the main plot the main couple send marriage invitations to friends and family.

and at the last side story we read how ML meet the FL parents and ask permission for courting their daughter with intent for marriage.

We don't actually see their marriage or any kids unfortunately
