There are actually two apps, Virtual Alpha and Virtual Omega~ Sou and Yuugo were paired together through the apps, and while they both thought it was virtual, Yuugo managed to realize that Sou was likely a real person~

Plot is nothing special, the concept is almost intriguing though. I should say this is between a teenager and an adult, which is kinda :/
We all knew the virtual alpha was some real person, but for some reason he pretended to be a teenager. I have no clue why he would pretend to be a teenager.
The MC and the audience initially thinks this guy is a fellow teen and then it turns out he's an adult. Came off as kinda creepy. Chapter where they have in person s*xual contact, is called 'Bad Adult' and if that's isn't gross then idk what is. Like idk if I would've read it if I'd known they were a teen and an adult.

So, just wanted to shed some light on why the ratings are either a 1 or 5.

First of all, as with most novels on this site, you have to go in with one eye closed. In that sense, this novel is light-hearted and cute, and it's about a story of two people bonding and healing their insecurities (with the omegaverse trope!).

There is no dreaded miscommunication that spans 50 chapters, and there are no plot devices that pop out of nowhere. Overall, a pretty great short read.

However, if you really think... more>> about the happenings in this story, there are two main glaring issues:

1. The setup of this "virtual alpha" app, which is supposed to be an AI chatting app for omegas, but in reality the virtual alpha is an actual person. This provokes questions not just about confidentiality and privacy concerns, but the horrifying thought that if the ML was shitty person, this story could have a very different ending. (This issue is touched upon in the extras.)
2. How quickly MC and ML make a lifetime bonding mark, especially since MC is still in high school (is he a minor!?!). It's literally the second day the two of them meet, and they get down to business and swear they'll be together for a lifetime. Frankly, from a realistic standpoint, that's very concerning.

But hey! As a short, surface-level novel, everything is all rainbows and unicorns, and it's a happily ever after! <<less

It’s so cute! I love how the relationship between the main couple develops they communicate so well, and are so trusting in each other. I really love how this is going so far and can’t wait for new chapters when they come out.

Translator is doing a great job as well. Everything makes sense and it is very easy to read!

I've never been so stumped by a novel, already the first three chapters are riddled with plot holes.

The story is full of stuff like this, did the writer forget what they wrote two sentences prior?

I have the feeling the author is super young, writing style and execution are bare-boned, everything's so condensed that there's barely anything going on, it's entirely focused on the MC's thoughts.
First-person-uber-limited and at times weirdly p*rn-y out of nowhere.

I tried 10 or so chapters but won't rate it because I'm seriously too baffled by it all, maybe there's an audience for this kind of novel and it's me who doesn't get the charm.

I had to stop reading it. Like I've read some really really horrific stuff. But this is so so so so scary to me. 1 it's not an actual ai sorry it's a real person. 2 it's? An adult? It just feels like grooming since the ML knew the MC was a minor. And then continued to engage sexually with him. It's on the same level as fluff mangas. If you are used to them, this is very fluffy. If you are not used to them, then you might feel that there are too many red flags lol

Short and simple cotton candy story; sweet, light, and easy to consume but no real substance.

It's a typical shoujo-style romance with an ABO setting in which an ordinary, lonely, tragically misunderstood omega meets a rich, handsome, perfectly perfect alpha, all of his life's issues are instantly resolved, and they live happily ever after. The virtual app was the most interesting part of the plot and that fell out of the story about a third of the way through; the last two-thirds struggled to keep my interest.

The MCs are pretty likeable,... more>> the consent is *chef's kiss*, and the writing is mostly okay, but I knocked a whole entire star off because of the smut (and there's plenty of it.) I don't know if it was like that in the original text or if it was the translator's choice, but the cringy euphemisms never stopped: "his thing", "my rear", "white liquid"... If you're going to write smut, freaking commit to it, don't write like a middle schooler afraid to say "sex" out loud. Since the story is told from first person perspective of the omega, the juvenile language only highlights how young he is, especially compared to the adult alpha, adding to the discomfort. I wish we got confirmation on the MC's age; there's a wide gulf between a 14yo highschool student and an 18yo highschool student.

I had to drop it due to how increasingly uncomfortable I was feeling while reading this...... ML is 24 yr old and I am not clear with MC'S exact age but most probably he is still minor or even if he is an adult he is barely legal.

If this is not enough then MC is kind of a loner. In his life he has met only 2 alphas. One was ML and the other was his fellow soccer omega's alpha. Basically ML was the only single alpha he met. He... more>> goes to a beta school due to which he has never interacted with alphas. To make matter worse his family never mentions that he is an omega. Like since MC has differentiated into an omega his parents have stopped watching any omega programs on TV and they basically avoid talking about it.

So basically he is extremely lonely. His brother in law suggests him to try this AI. He gives it a try and starts feeling that he can finally talk to someone. I don't feel this is love more like attachment to the first person who understood you. Basically he was in a clear need of friends he could talk to.

So this guy who has barely seen the world just bounded himself to an alpha for life. Hell they haven't even started dating they haven't known each other for long and 90% of there interactions were when he thought he was talking to an AI. They met when the MC was in heat..... some explicit things happened and then MC was so happy that the AI was actually a human that he wanted to be bounded with him for life.

Like hell!!! For life!!! Till this chapter they have already bounded and now MC has no choice but to stay with this "bad adult" (the ML said to MC that he was sorry for being a bad adult 🤢) <<less
