A comedic dark fantasy about vampire clans, a vampire princess, and the man who hunts them!

“Dear ladies and gentlemen of Japan! I apologize for asking such a mundane question, but do you all believe in vampires?”

“I beg your pardon. It seems I’m a bit tardy in identifying myself. My name is Gerhardt von Waldstein. I am a vampire, entrusted with the Island of Growerth and bestowed with the title of ‘viscount.’ Instead of introducing myself, I thought I might recount the story of a disturbance which occurred on my island. Or might I say, please allow me to tell you since I have some time on my hands.”

“Whether you believe my story or not, I’m sure it is as clear as daylight that I am not a person. At any rate, my body is…”

True to Nahita's other works Vamp! Has it all such as action, romance, and multiple POV's. The personalities of the characters vary and can be anything from stoic and cold to crazy and vibrant. Another thing to love about Vamp! Is how it starts off so light hearted and simple and gradually turns

dark and tragic

whilst still having its comedic moments. If you have free time I recommend this to read.

Interesting story. If you are ready to invest some time in this series it will definitely surprise you. Different POVs can make this a little hard to understand but overall you will get a nice reading experience. Do give this story a shot.

I think Narita Ryohgo greatest weakness is that his story are hard to get into. There are always multiple perspective, woven together to create different story, depending on which perspective you are following. Some of this change happen within 2-3 pages, making it hard for reader to remember (much less to sympathize) its character. Uniquely, that very same confusing perspective is what made his story special. For example, Durarara! And Baccano.

Sadly, I am still unable to get into this story after 2-3 times trying. Maybe later, when I had time... more>> I'll challenge this novel again, as its predecessor managed to hooked me multiple times. <<less
