Transmigration + Sweet Petting + Overbearing President

Beautiful Lady of Capital Circle vs. Noble Abstinent Prince of Capital Circle

Fantasy, please don’t overthink it!

Synopsis: In a certain male-oriented novel, the male lead Chi Yu is the prince of the Capital circle. He has been blessed since childhood, gathering little brothers all the way until he finally becomes the world’s richest man.

During Chi Yu’s journey of leveling up and defeating enemies, there must have been cannon fodder villains who get faceslapped by him. The transmigrator Song Luoqiu finds that her brother, Song Luosheng, is that biggest villain.

Song Luosheng is a young master of a prestigious Capital family, same age as the male lead. The two grew up together in the same courtyard. Song Luosheng matches the male lead in looks, abilities and more, but has been ruthlessly suppressed into second place ever since childhood. He sees the male lead as his biggest rival. After continuous failures in his fights against the male lead, Song Luosheng’s personality becomes distorted and he tries to harm the male lead, only to finally be killed by him!

Song Luoqiu has always wanted to save her brother from the fate of a villain. On the other hand, the male lead already wants to call her brother “brother” too.

After some time, Song Luoqiu awkwardly says to Chi Yu: “That’s my brother, you know.”

Chi Yu bows to Song Luosheng: “Brother.”

Song Luosheng grabs his head in agony: “I refuse this marriage!”

When Song Luoqiu gets intimate with Chi Yu, she’s not serious about it. But Chi Yu feels extremely happy every day. His little brothers seem to have noticed something and ask: “Boss, do we have a sister-in-law now?”

Chi Yu doesn’t deny it. Soon, the news that Chi Yu has a girlfriend spreads through the circle. Upon hearing it, Song Luoqiu instantly blocks him. What a scumbag!

Not long after, Chi Yu finds her with slightly red eyes, “Song Luoqiu, are you tired of me now?”

The synopsis of this novel confused me a little, but now that I read the novel it all finally makes sense. Really cute love story. The female lead is pretty funny, she is not really a romantic person, so the male lead has to work really hard to win her over. It does portray that any other country is a dangerous gun blazing environment. If you ignore that nonsense it is an enjoyable read.

If you do not like causal racism do not

other with this. Author constantly write "racist foreigners" to include Chinese supramisy and CCP b*tt licking. It is too obvious this person never took one step out of their bubble. Charachters are somewhat cute but unoriginal, as there is no plot point but romance it gets repetetive and boring. Sibling relationship is cute, romance is cute (if you ignore ML's blackmail and stalking) but, but suprime beauty of MC is over exegerated.

Also the picture is misleading they do not start teenage love,... more>> ML is never depicted as t-shirt guy. He is always described as overbearing CEO type <<less

Interesting story but man does the author have a thing against foreigners. Villainizes them every chance they get. Besides that time passes pretty quick in the story

I really liked this! It’s not the most realistic story but if you like dramatics it’s good.

Starts in their childhood but most of the story takes place when the MC is in college.

My favorite things about this story:

... more>> 1. The MC’s brother. He’s overbearingly protective but he has reason to be and his relationship with the MC is so sweet. I’m always a sucker for good sibling relationships. I’d say they’re a bro-con and sis-con but that sometimes implies a weirdness that isn’t present here.

2. I like that the MC and ML both have their own friend groups, something a lot rarer in fiction than it should be.

3. I like that the ML falls in love first. He chases her for a while and it’s cute how in love he is. She’s very indifferent to him at first and would not hesitate to drop him if he ever treated her badly. I mean, she’s rich, talented, extremely beautiful, with good grades and a doting powerful family, a handsome CEO isn’t going to impress her. I think she has very natural and realistic thoughts about her relationship. We stan an independent queen! I do really like their relationship once they get together.

Faults:

1. Nationalism with a good dose of Chinese superiority.

2. MC and ML go through lots of exaggerated action that would better fit a mafia story or something, including multiple car chases, kidnappings, terrorist attacks, etc.

3. Father beats MC’s brother as punishment for stuff like not keeping his sister safe. Not cool. MC does think that this is wrong and stops it when she sees it happening in front of her but there isn’t a talk with her father afterwards. I just feel like this part of the story could have been handled better.

Though the writing could have been better in some places I still enjoyed this, if you’re interested give it a try! <<less

I won’t even comment on author hell bent hatred on foreigners with the amount of reviews mentioning them. Maybe author exes were all foreigners idk

But I want to point out, that if I have a little sister like MC
Spoiler

who still fraternized with my rival no matter how much I told her not too, that resulted me to get beaten up repeatedly by my father

[collapse]
I would shoved her into a ditch and call Hermes to move their crocodiles sanctuary there free or charge.

I’ve read about MLs being playboys going to ‘entertainment’ clubs to go dancing with girls and telling their ‘girlfriends’ to keep the relationship secret; very contrary to a more female-oriented male leads who are very conservative and keep to themselves until ‘the one’ appears.

Well, ML is the conservative male lead while our homegirl is the playboy 🤭.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate MC nor is MC really that frivolous. I love her loving relationship with her family (except some points I can stand), the mutual-doting siblings chemistry without being... more>> creepy, and her overall character and personality. I just really don’t like how she treated the relationship with ML.

“In case the relationship doesn’t work out”? Pff, puh-lease. 🙄That’s very scumbag even in her not-even-so-serious-romeo-and-juliet scenario. So what if it didn’t work out then? Pretend nothing ever happened? Those good things a person has done for you and the good times you shared, overwritten because of the break up? Hah! Df.

Another major peeve for me was big bro’s treatment at home. Was that supposed to be masculine or something? It was just unreasonable ab*se at that point since big bro obviously knows his faults and is open to making up for it.

Also that stinkin’ China supremacy that just has to step on other nationalism to be superior, wha? 🤷🏻‍♀️ And I was gonna talk about her and the gfs going to that kind of entertainment clubs and how it was implied like its some cute, naive curiosity but I thought about it and it’s ok as long as everybody was single at the time. 🤝 Other than those I did enjoy reading this novel (but really, they dampened the mood) because everyone had good chemistry and dynamics.

Ps. ML really do seem more like he’s a mafia rather than a ceo. <<less

Not bad, not bad! It's not what I am expecting since I thought they'll be like childhood sweethearts, but they aren't. Nevertheless, they're indeed very sweet and the story is mostly lighthearted (except from some action scenes and violence). I don't have much to say tbh. I just want to say that I find it entertaining and I quite enjoyed reading it. The romance is quite good and the characters are not bad too. The only confusion is the so-called plot master. I mean, why is the FL reborn in... more>> that novel if you wanted to badly kill her, right?

Overall, it's 7.5/10 for me. <<less

Pretty good so far, if you ignore those things about chinese superiority, and other things previous reviewer has stated.

plotwise I love MC relationship with her family and girlfriends. This story depict the otherworld of the rich. MC and ML both came from top family and very well suited for each other, except for MC brother big rivalry with ML which spice up the story.

I don't really know what to write anymore, now that I finished reading it.

Anyways, although I have read a review telling about how the setting didn't happened during teenage years that I expected to happen, it wasn't so bad after all.

It was not really the kind of teenage puppy love type of romance but rather college-like, you know, it's kind of hard to put into words but it's like still being a student yet at the same time involved in adulting part in society type of romance. Something like that.... more>> The ML isn't as overbearing and cold type actually, it was pretty accurate for him to be called abstinent. He's mysterious, which actually, thinking about it rn the story coincides with MC's view all throughout. ML's pretty mysterious and actually not quite prominent at the beginning of the story, unless it was about their feud, he wouldn't be mentioned at all.

It's amazing how he comes from being a name that was mentioned into a full character that has personality beyond the words MC used to describe him.

Speaking of early part of the story, it is quite new to me actually, I didn't know what to expected when I started reading this yesterday night but the intro actually hook me. It was good, then the next development was unexpected but it could be seen that author did not just put ideas one after another but actually made a sequence of event that was put together in place.

Though even after reading this I actually did not get some parts of it. Like what was really their parents job? Isn't MC's father a high ranking soldier? How come in the midsts of the story he was actually a minister? Anyways, all has been well.

Since, I have started talking about MC's father might as well talk about the family dynamics they had. I actually like their dynamics as siblings, it was pretty cute and rare. I mean, there were some story that writes about brothers doting on their sister which is the MC. It was overly unbelievable (not that this story differ) MC and her brother's dynamics is you know the right amount of being protective but at the same time they can tease each other.

Since, we're talking about his brother, let's talk about the punishment. I think one review tackles about how it was unfair and I do agree with it. Every time it happens I feel so bad for the brother and at the same scared what if he comes to hate MC? But I think what was more prominent in those part is how he always accepts it cause he believes he's in fault. I felt bad but that's so precious 🥺

When I think of it, if MC isn't so mature to not let the doting of her family get into her head. They would be actually creating a future narcissist and self-centered despicable human. Especially, with their blatant favoritism that isn't just mentioned once but actually all throughout even near the end. Good thing, even as a child MC's brother was so mature not to be jealous of her but actually takes good care of her🥺 it really melts my heart how they're such a cutie.

Edit:

Spoiler

So going back to my review, there were various part of the story that I would really want to talk about. Like why does it seem that ML had this kind of power to actually affect the world's economy and another country's political feud. Like I felt that it was quite arrogant of the author to actually wrote that part. Also, the reason why MC was kidnapped before she got together with the ML. Idk but when reading it I felt conflict cause even though those guys gamble it all but the reason they ask for more is for their family so I kinda felt bad for them. There's more, I think this part was prominent among this reviews, the "racism" at first it doesn't bother me much cause it wasn't that worst in comparison to other stories I read but one thing that doesn't sit well with me, is that those part contained their nationalism about how their country was great I think I mentioned it already, it's where ML somehow have this power to affect one's country in terms of politics like just how arrogant was that? He's a business man not the King not God.

Anyways, not minding that part this story is quite lingering for me. It's a type of story that I would really want to read the first time all over again. The way how ML expresses his love, he always says 'I love you' first, the way he shows to everyone that he and MC are together. It wasn't so overbearing but actually loving. I mean, unlike other 'CEOs' he wasn't the type to be jealous then proceeds to become overly possessive. It was so cute seeing how almost part of their relationship he was afraid of losing MC. He really loves MC.
Also, MC's brother's antagonisms isn't so overly exaggerated but actually caring. He wasn't just wary of ML being together with MC because of their rivalry but rather he actually cares for his sister 🥺 I don't know but MC's brother really just have a soft spot in my heart. He also deserves happiness. It's so sad that he never got a girlfriend throughout the story.
[collapse]

Anyways, I guess that's all of it. I might edit if I remember some part I wanna add. P. S. Sorry for a review that was all over the place haha!

Edit:

I might want to add one thing. I think this is one of the few Chinese novels that I read that actually ended with marriage. I mean, years of reading this type of novels, I've actually been used to having them getting married amidst or in the beginning. Unlike when I first started reading novels back then where stories especially love story ends with marriage as most movies and tv series does. Now, not only was that lingering to me but also nostalgic how things were supposed to be back then. Though, I would prefer it much if there's more extras about their child. <<less

This isn't a review, I didn't even read the story yet. Just one thing is bugging me. Why is the translated title to different from the Chinese? "我哥是反派,男主暗恋我" Literally means "My brother is a villain, the male lead secretly crushes on me". The translated title promises me a completely different thing. I clicked on this page expecting to see the normal "cool CEO pampering the wife" bs which is what I wanted to see rn but instead I'm getting something different. I did a literal double-take to make sure I... more>> understood correctly, even pulling out a dictionary just to check. I don't know what that says about the translation quality of this but it certainly isn't high <<less
