Jiang Ling found himself transmigrated into an Interstellar world, in which he was the cannon fodder eldest prince and the useless older brother of the male lead.

Right now, he was the war prisoner of the enemy country. According to the plot, he, a good-for-nothing, would keep getting into trouble and, finally, die tragically at the hands of the brutal enemy ruler.

When Jiang Ling saw the not-so-handsome, disabled enemy ruler, Chu Wenyu, he quietly thought of a way to escape.

Instead of taking risks, Jiang Ling waited patiently for the day he would be rescued. The main character, leading a fleet of warships, planned to defeat the enemy country in one go.

Chu Wenyu, stuck in a wheelchair, had a serious face when facing the enemy forces. But when he saw his loved one slowly walking towards the enemy, tears welled up in his eyes, and he couldn’t control his emotions.

Watching the person with shrunken legs rolling on the ground, desperately crawling in the dirt, his hands stained with blood, determined to reach him.

Jiang Ling helplessly pulled him into his arms and muttered, “You’re really a troublesome old devil.”

Many years later, when reporters asked the interstellar ruler how he went from being a weak prince to a powerful leader, Jiang Ling chuckled and said, “Well, it all started with a bowl of soft rice… This old devil forced me to eat hard rice.”

Plot and character building was really goodthere was some plot holes here and there but I liked it overall, my only cons that brought this down to 3 was that I feel that it was too fast paced : (, I wanted to see more on what would happen with jiang ling and the other cannon folders and I wished his powers were shown more since it really only shined in the last parts. I also like to add that, I salute the author for not changing the ml's appearance or anything cliche like that and I like how the author painted the ml's birth mark and legs as something unique to him 🫶

Although the villains are not that memorable and their endings are simple regrets (the first enemy is a bit unfortunate because he was the one who received the worst punishment)

I like that the Alpha has his mind focused, although he loves the Omega even though he is obsessive, he is not willing to play Stockholm with him. He is clear about what he wants and expects his partner to treat him as his equal without being a pet to him due to his initial dynamics.

Half of the novel deals with how they solve this problem, except for a character who puts their relationship in trouble, no enemy enters the couple's eyes. So the rest of the secondary characters are completely irrelevant.

I recommend it for people who really like the dynamics of Gong leading and a Shou Yandere madly in love. <<less

4.5* really good look into possessive tendencies stemming from personal insecurities and how they can get in the way happiness; a bit sad but extremely sweet with role reversal in the standard couple dynamics you tend to see (the sho is the possessive domineering tyrant)

it was short but fun! the yandere almost overstepped his bounds a few times, but the genuine feelings between MC and ML made each of them back off and communicate past all the misunderstandings and resentment they caused in each other. (and sometimes it wasn't just misunderstanding, but blatant secret-keeping). there's definitely a delicate power balance in the relationship, especially with MC being ML's hostage prince, but I appreciate MC's backbone not to back down and ML's well... willingness to withdraw when he went too far. in the end the... more>> fact is that they /do/ love each other despite all their flaws and imperfections, and MC willingly chooses to accept ML for that while ML compromises to work with MC so they stick together even if they aren't the best or most morally-correct people. I guess in a way, their flaws complement each other? it certainly made for riveting reading.

i agree with the indonesian reviewer that it's a little hard to picture the ML (Chu Wenyu) because he's apparently super strong and a great mecha pilot but his legs beneath his knees are all withered away... so what kind of physique does he have?? plus he's an omega masquerading as alpha so is he physically smaller as most omegas are to alphas? it's hard to visualize. overall a fun read and not tooooo frustrating that I binged in one day! <<less

The ending is a tad rushed, but I really like this story, specially Jiang Ling’s character and how he manages to “tame” his tyrant Chu Wenyu.

I believe if the last ~5 chapters had been extended into about 15 or so chapters, the final story could be more polished and a tad less rushed, in terms of plot itself but also a little on the emotional developments.

Overall still, it’s quite a nice novel, perfect reading for a lazy afternoon, even if the conflict between chapters ~45 to ~55 is of emotional... more>> nature and more drawn out. <<less

Is their relationship crazy? Yes, don't do this in real life please. But I was rooting for our crazy ML at the start.

The relationship was pretty realistic. The MC had a lot of hesitation when he realizes how crazy the ML can be. But ML learns how to hold back and prioritize MC's feelings and needs instead his own insane impulses. MC learns that he can't change ML's whole personality (boy is crazy) so he sets specific boundaries instead.

I liked it. It's a short read and fluffier towards the end.

It was short and had a bit of drama, MC is reserved and doesn't like to much attention, while ML is very obsessive and possessive with MC, most of the story is around the palace and there are few key characters, what I liked about this story is that at least MC doesn't approve ML's possessive behavior ... more>>

specially when he tried to trap MC by lying to him, scaring away anyone who is close to him and not letting him interact with others, making MC kind of uncomfortable, so he started to see how dark ML really is, so good part of the story is about MC trying to break up with ML because he thinks this relationship is toxic and thinks that is better for ML to stay away from him, so ML's niece that was in love with MC and was his friend helped him escape, but after everything ML was able to catch him and had a great discussion (technically they had bondage play) but at least ML was able to control himself and gave MC more space, well it's important to say that ML did a lot of dark things behind MC's back, an example of this was a dude that was the niece's ex, he lied about helping ML control his mental power (MC actually did it) and tried to seduce him, so ML gave him an important position used him to make MC jealous and then in private tortured him nearly killed him and throwing him in prison, or when he was jealous of his own niece because she was in love with MC so he forcefully engaged her with someone, or secretly monitoring MC, besides, MC gave ML a lot of opportunities but he touched his bottom line leading to those events

, and the original protagonist didn't create much impact, like seriously he appears near the end of the story and was annoying, I would say of all canon fodders he had a light punishment, deserves what happened to him. In general, when ML has in check his possessiveness his interaction with MC is cute and sweet, would have been great if there were other places to develop other than the palace, besides they could have explained more about ML's past, why he forcefully changed his gender (from omega to alpha) or his relationship with the royal family, his traumas and other things, same with the original body's owner or even MC, their pasts are kind of a mystery and there isn't much context to see. I would say I do recommend it, there are some plot holes and it's short so a lot of things happen very fast, their relationship isn't the best one but at least they have a happy end, even though all the drama that happened MC never stopped loving ML and it's the same with the other, the only thing that disappointed me was that there weren't extras about their life after what happened at the end of the story so it kind of gives you some emptiness. <<less

Gua mau ranting ini bintang 5 karena seru banget sesuai gaya gua, meskipun menurut ku, rada aneh di bagian bagian tertentu, karena aku tuh...., nggak bisa nggak bayangin istri (shou) yang kuat berpengaruh gitu, terus gak kebayang bentuk badan uke nya yang jendral/kaisar negara nya, berotot kah?, Jantan?, Tinggi nya gimana?, Soalnya seme nya gak di kasih tau ukuran nya, jadi susah bayangin mereka berdua biar klop di pikiranku.

Selebihnya ceritanya bagus seme nya keren, kekuatan nya di akhir sih...

Tapi yang paling seru itu over protective banget si uke lebih ke... more>> yandere atau psikopat, kesel gue tapi seneng juga, dia janji buat gak buat seme terkurung di istana nya aja, tapi langgar lagi, seme marah pasti nya kabur, tapi ketangkep terus di iket anjir....

Di kasur lagi uke nya minta jatah, tapi mereka marahan (suka banget sama bagian ini), intinya gitu.

Tapi di sini juga ada yang bikin aku nggak suka soalnya seme nya itu kayak nurut aja sama uke nya, (lembek) ngejelasin tentang dia yang mau bebas juga, bukan di obsesiin.

Terus kayak ada yang kurang pas mereka berhenti perang dingin, lebih tepatnya seme nya sih, yang gak cuek lagi intinya maafin uke nya, karena yang harus nangis nangis mohon ampun tuh uke nya (menurut gue), biar mereka balik saling percaya satu sama lain. <<less

I enjoyed parts of it but it kinda felt lackluster during the last third of the story. Still a decent read, I think.

Ngl, I felt like the second half of the summary/synopsis was a bit misleading. I just felt that MC had a different characterization than what was implied on the synopsis.

I felt that that scene was the climax of the story and had a different tone than what was in the synopsis. Like MC had a different approach in the actual scene lol He literally unlocked his potential and rushed to ML's side coz he was worried. He wasn't in a nonchalant and oh what a silly little villain you are vibe.

Plus, MC did not want to be in the limelight! He's an idler that did not become a powerful leader

I felt like the length of the novel limited the potential of the story because a lot happened in the last 5ish chapters. Like. A. Lot. I remember having a moment when reading the mtl and being "I'm already on the last 10 chapters and the scene on the synopsis haven't happened yet. What's going on?"

The last leg of the novel is honestly rushed like I feel like the last chapters each had different conflicts that were somehow solved in the same chapter they were introduced lol

Imma also say how irrelevant some characters are. Some characters were introduced like they were about to have a pivotal role in the story but nope, they were just there for the ML to throw into prison/sufferings.

With regards to the og protag, what a weak character. I just didn't had a connection with him being the og protag. He had the same presence in the story as the other cannon fodder.

All in all, what made me stay was the messy relationship of the leads lmao Love the MC for recognizing that he is in a toxic relationship with ML and trying his best to communicate that with him. Albeit, not much changed and he just basically accepted ML with all his derangeness lol ML's characterization was kinda meh in some scenes for me. I know it was the trauma that was making him unreasonable and all that shits but damn those were also not expound.

Again, the novel have a lot of flaws but it's entertaining and a good short read nonetheless. <<less
