Reading Tips:

The shou has a cub, is quite ruthless, and has a quirky way of thinking. He’s not your typical nice fox and he lacks normal emotions. The gong is totally into it.

Though the story is absurd and dramatic, it’s sweet. 1V1. HE (Happily Ever After). [sincere face]

Hello there, Translator here!

This was a very fun, easy and refreshing read for me. The MC's character is pretty unique, he's the reason the comedy in here is on point.

The writing is good and gets you hooked till the end.

Don't mind the Love Triangle tags and whatsoever, there is no drama involved. The MC is basically just flirting with every breathing creature, no feelings involved, just wanting to have fun and get laid, although a total noob in the domain. :')

He won't go sleeping around or anything.

He's a demon fox who's lived his whole life in seclusion deep in the mountains, and he's basically, a virg*n. I'm not saying he's had a Cub through immaculate conception, just that he transmigrated into the novel only after the deed was done. So he's yet to have his first real s*xual experience, mostly fantasizing about it, while relying on the knowledge he's gained through some "very reliable" written and taped sources.

The ML... is your basic alpha CEO. Although here, he finally finds his match.

The little Cub is just a pitiful and lovely cinnamon roll, though I certify that no Jiji cubs have been harmed in the process of writing this novel. :')

The romance kicks in a bit later in the story, nearly halfway through, but it hits hard each time it's there.

Like, one time you're having fun and laughing at the MC's antics, next time you now, he pulls out a heart-wrenching punch of a declaration, straight to your face that'd leave you weeping like a wretch on the floor, to finally go back to his antics like nothing happened.

So yeah, the writing is good. But ultimately, it's mostly comedy oriented.

The translation is... 10000/10 perfect, certified my me. :p

I read most of this one via MTL a while ago, though I don't remember what chapter I stopped at or a lot of specific details. Let me mention some things I remember though:

This story is a transmigration story, but other than giving enough details to help establish the setting, specific details about the original plot aren't actually spelled out to the reader. But because the MC knows the original story, he'll react to characters and scenes from the original book, and sometimes that's the only indication that those things... more>> are important. The reader has to piece together the plot of the original story as the novel goes on, making it more interesting than how this sort of thing is typically presented.

The MC seems like the naive type at first, but he's more savvy then he lets on. He lacks experience in the human world, so there are many things he legitimately doesn't understand. But as time goes on, it becomes apparent that A) There's plenty he does understand but blatantly ignores anyway because he's a Nine-Tailed Fox and doesn't give a sh*t and B) He's acting in certain ways on purpose. He, apparently, is an excellent actor and gets along normally with the people he works with during his acting jobs, but we only see glimpses of that and instead mostly see him acting like a menace in his personal life.

The ML is the cold, overbearing, possessive, obsessive type, but he meets his match with the MC. Usually I really dislike this ML archetype, but it's hilarious to pair him with someone as strong-minded and willful as the MC. Another important thing to note is that the MC is polyamorous: in this story, while nine-tailed foxes remain faithful to their partners once they pick them, until they actually dedicate themselves to a single person they're very promiscuous. Combined with the possessive/prideful ML, who never communicates his true feelings but feels entitled to the MC anyway, you get hilarious scenes like:

MC: *immediately texts the love rival and makes plans to meet up*

MC shamelessly interacts with anyone he finds attractive. Also, everyone, including his love rivals, keep warning the ML that if he isn't honest about his feelings and make the MC secure in their relationship, the MC is going to run off with someone else. ML, of course, doesn't listen, leading to the MC trying to hook up with other people constantly. So the MC isn't just completely controlled by his feelings for the ML.

There's also a running gag like:

ML's Love Rival: *with obviously impure intentions* Can I give you a ride home?

MC: OK! Can we stop somewhere on the way?

ML's Love Rival: Sure I guess?

MC: *breaks into someone's house/beats someone up/etc" OK! You can take me home now :)

ML's Love Rival: Uhhh... *ends up just going home in confusion after dropping MC off*

TL;DR: MC's personality and behavior makes an otherwise cliche danmei setting pretty entertaining, and he's the love interest that every overbearing CEO character deserves to have to face off against. <<less

It was fun, unserious, comedic sort of Novel.

MC haz the fox nature of wanting to do the deed, you know want to dual cultivatate. MC always live secluded in the mountains during the past so doesn't know alot of human equitique so alot what he says always leaves people unable to respond. Very upfront and honest thats the comedy of the novel.

Baby cub Is a cutie who behaves really well. Listen to his dad's and is a good boy

ML is your typical class rep, follow the rules, eat your vegs,... more>> no flirting with other men, no night clubs. Borderline control free. Powerful CEO.

Wish MC could use his Yao magic and shut these weibo commentors up. The stuff they were saying was insane.

MC body nature did attract some love rivals but ML was too powerful they wouldn't dare.

I thought MC was going to be the seductive clever fox of the sort. But we got the Childish, food nagging thounsands year old fox. I was kinda disappointed not gunna lie.

Watching ML babysit MC was kinda hard. He was essentially looking after 2 kids.

Well it was relatively short I made it through in one day. I really want the cub grown up extras though <<less

Just finished reading the story through mtl and it's worth it. It was mostly comedic and unserious (just like the people above said) but the last 4 chapters made me cry so hard.

I hope chapter 111 is not the ending. I want some more of the interaction between ML and MC after the identity of ML is revealed. I specially wants to see the reaction of MC after knowing who is his husband.

Oh my God, I just found out from another website that the chapter is already at 127 but... more>> it needs payment and need to log in. Sigh, poverty really hits me today 😭 <<less

It's a really cute fluffy story about a fox demon who transmigrated into a book. This fox demon is a naive one who doesn't quite know how to act like a human nor understands human emotions. He is mischievous, super naughty, and just says whatever he wants and does whatever he wants. He's so adorable!!

The ML on the other hand is a stern CEO type, ya know, those domineering types but he's so soft and sweet and dotes on the MC so so much.

This story focuses on their relationship development... more>> and romance. There isn't much about the MC's job as an actor, and not much childcare. Tan Jiji, the baby, does appear alot, but he's always in the care of nannies or the ML will make milk for him. The antagonists who does evil things like the fake white lotus is dealt with very quickly. Even the big bad has a very anticlimatic end lol. Truly it's about ML trying to make MC fall for him, MC goes around flirting alot, but then they get together and it's so sweet.

There's also a little about the demons... I read via MTL and I didn't quite understand some parts but from what I gather.. BIG SPOILERS AHEAD:

Tan Qing, the MC is a fox demon on Laoshan and he was taken care of by a Phoenix who's like, a Heavenly creature meant to take charge of luck/auspiciousness of the world. One day the villagers poisoned Tan Qing out of greed to sell him to an Emperor who wants immortality. Tan Qing sorta kills the villagers, and the Phoenix who cares for Tan Qing, took on his punishment and scattered his soul and body. The Phoenix was meant to be reborn but he refused because I think he was angry that Tan Qing was unlawfully punished by Heaven?? I'm not sure about this part. Tan Qing's soul was also destroyed during a tribulation and his soul scattered. When the Phoenix refused to be reborn/reincarnate, the luck/auspiciousness of the world disappeared and the Heavenly God decided to beg the Phoenix. He then sent the Phoenix's scattered soul and Tan Qing's scattered soul to another world, which is this book. And the Phoenix lost his memory but in that final part where he protects Tan Qing from the thunder punishment, I think he gets back his memories and both their scattered souls merged and became whole again. That's what I understand anyway, hoping to read the translated one once it's done!
