The Strongest Brother Lost His Memory

My older brother, who was my only family member, lost his memory.

“I have a sibling? Are you kidding me?”

He was a fool who cared for me ever since he brought me from the temple…

“I can’t even take care of myself, so what is this…”

I left the family because I didn’t want to be a burden to my older brother, who had no memory, and was helpless in the tragedy that followed.

So I turned back time.

That too, to the point when my brother lost his memory.

“I don’t have anything in my head, so I don’t know what to do next. What if I have a kid with me?”

We must not repeat the tragedy of the past life. So I grimly said,

“That’s right. I don’t have anything on my brother’s head right now.”

“…What, what?”

I chuckled and took out a document I had prepared. The contents of the document, written in crooked, large letters, were simple.

[I transfer all the property in my name to my younger sister.]

While my gaping older brother was checking the documents, I took out his seal from his drawer and smeared it with ink.

Then I put it in his hand and said with a very sad expression.

“So stamp it. Now.”

I will protect you in this life.

This is Ame, who finished almost the entire part 1 before she even decided to pick it up ^^ started reading from launch date, and now desperately praying for it to be August for part 2 to drop! IT'S OUT! AND I'VE ADDED MORE AT THE END.

Some stuff that I really like:

    • Rosie, Julian, Zahid, Schulva, Ethan, Caliburn, and more... everyone is funny in their own way.
    • There is no filler chapters, I'm serious. If there's any scene that seems unimportant, it will make sense later.
    • The temple is the main antagonist, and they do a damn good job at being bad. You'll never think for a moment 'Why are they still around?'
    • Zahid x Rosie. They like each other in first timeline, but couldn't say it due to the crisis (in short, temple). Now... we have tsundere x cutie.
    • Rosie has future knowledge but is not omnipotent despite having regressed. Zahid told her some stuff before the regression, but that 100% ain't enough. So there are still many mysteries to uncover!
    • I love how Rosie doesn't use the side characters as pawns, she really considers their interests.
      Spoiler

Especially, how she told Ethan (who is basically neglected by the entire family) if he couldn't find a way to use magic and become a mage, he can just go home with her. It's okay if he is the least impressive around her, he is her cousin who will eat breakfast with her.

I swear it's very touching ;-; This is a bad summary of it...

      [collapse]
    • Rosie has saved various people and is loved in return, and all those people are coming together at the end of part 1 to save her and defeat the big bad evil. My eyes became warm as I typed this out ;-; It's not the parting that makes me sad, it's the cooperation of those who were against the temple even in the first timeline but failed because they couldn't come together and multiply their strengths.
I personally feel that it's kinda slow at first but there are a lot to set up in this worldview. There are many important characters to introduce too. The author does a good job at putting bits and pieces information here and there as flashbacks rather than info-dump.

The story really picks up at the academy portion. Is [insert character's name] good or bad? Is [so and so] Rosie's father? Or is it [that one] instead? What is the temple truly after? Who or what exactly is Rosie? Will Julian ever get his memory back?

*aggressively refreshes kkp*

I most definitely forgot to mention some things, but I can always add on later, right? ^^ See y'all when part 2 is here! And never forget...

ROSIE ROSIE SUPREMACY!!!!!!!!

Spoiler

For those who made it to the end of this review, here are some things to look out for while reading ^^

    1. Anata and Theol
    2. Slow, languid way of speaking
    3. Hngh

I'M DONE WITH PART 2 AND THE SIDE STORIES AND I'M SOBBING AND LAUGHING AT THE SAME TIME ;-; I'll just share this snippet that made me really cry, might add more when I get to translating and cleaning up those parts.

Spoiler

Zahid in the mirror smiled encouragingly at me, who had a somber expression.

-I trust you, so go your way with confidence, Rosie. I'll do anything for you on my path if it's for your sake.

It was a sweet and affectionate remark, dripping with tenderness, and it melted my heart.

-From a long time ago, there's only you on my path, but of course there can be many people on your path who can catch your gaze. Instead of

Of course, he did not remove his unique persistent and possessive gaze.

-After everything is over, please be with me on your final journey home.

My breath caught in my throat.

"But Zahid, if I really get out of this prison

Where should I go? Now there is no Noart and no brother..."

"You should come with me, Rosie."

"Huh? To where?"

"We should sit on the steps above the temple for a while and then go back together. Wherever that is."

I held on to the hand mirror and suppressed my tears.

Whether I was in prison or not, what he wished for was always the same.

This was surprising, I wasn't expecting much when I stumbled upon this but hey, this is good. The first few chapters are very fun and interesting but the next set was very lukewarm for me. Don't get me wrong, I would still recommend this and the story is not bad but the execution left much to be desired. (I'm not sure if this is because I read it MTL-ed).

    • I love how Zahid is such a dork both in the past (their initial future?) and the present. He's just so in love with Rosie but he's also quite perceptive in 120 that reading this again made me really go "oh". He's not just a tsundere, there's reservations aside from his trauma of trusting people.
    • Ethan is very funny, I just want to complain how short his appearances were. After being accepted to the Magic Tower, his presence was largely nonexistent until part 1 is coming to close. (T ^ T)
    • Julian's duality (relentless to others) really made me go lmao. His immaturity to acceptance and then falling into the rabbit hole of liking Rosie is very amusing. Also, wow, how cold big brother. I was surprised with his original interaction with Yuta (before he lost his memories). Oi! You scum man xD, spit it out, what's your relationship with the Empress?
    • Pyre is a very skilled sidekick and shipper of RoHid. Made me giggle the first time they interacted.
    • I really thought Yuta was her father but then again, the revelation made me more satisfied because he's not a jerk but at the same time, hello! Listen well to Lily, Rosie and your foster parents, you dumdum.
    • Rosie just made me go wow. She just went ahead and flirts with Zahid as if she had done that a thousand times. Sasuga, female protagonist.
    • Schulva... is an interesting man. I can see why Julian is friends with him and why he can stand him.
Looking forward to the part 2 when they turn 21. :>

Is it worth reading?

Absolutely yes! If you want a story about a proactive & clever FL who isn't a damsel in distress with a lot of face-slappings, then this is for you. Oh, and with a side dish of fluff childcare & heartwarming romance.

What I like about this novel:

... more>> • Rosie (the FL) is clever, cunning, and knows self-worth 👏🏻 Despite her suffering from PTSD, she is strong-willed and is active in protecting the people she loves and changing both her and their lives for the better.

• The FL claps back in a sly and satisfying way. Whatever the enemy does to her, she makes sure to return it back tenfold. Even when she's suddenly met or blamed for an incident, she quickly devices a plan to get out of the mess and turn it back to the enemy/real culprit.

• Rosie expresses her feelings clearly, both in action and in words. If she misses her brother, she visits him and tells him upfront that she misses him. She also sent an engagement letter to ML, made the engagement happen, and even confessed in front of him at their first meeting in her second life.

• Capitalism is the best! HAHAHA

• Schulva and his workaholic-masochism tendencies 😂 I'm a bit saddened that he didn't have much screentimes tho 🙁

• Rosie is proactive in helping the people she cares about. I like that she's helping them out of genuine affection and not for the sake of her benefit nor revenge.

• There's a moral lesson in the story. "There is no such thing as an original position. If one worked hard and endured, their position would be what they achieved." — Rosie Noart

• The interactions between Rosie and Zahid (ML) are cute and funny. Rosie is so frank about her feelings that she says stuff like "We let time pass like this and get married" and "As expected, you must have fallen for me at first sight" every chance she gets. The rizz is UP 😂 Even when Zahid denies whatever she says and acts like a tsundere, she's undeterred.

• Count Caliburn Noart, Rosie's grandather, despises the temple but he isn't prejudiced with Rosie's origins. He treats and accepts her as a Noart.

• The romance is heart-warming ❤️ I can't help but cheer for the two 🫶🏻

• Pacing is good. It's not too slow nor too fast.

What I don't like about this novel:

• Narration is more on tell than show.

• Villains/enemies are third-rate at best. It's clear that they're just minor villains to make the FL's cleverness shine. I personally prefer equally clever & sly villains since it's more thrilling to read. I never know who will win when the MC & villain clash. It makes me more expectant how the MC will outsmart the villain's clever schemes. Idk about the high priest (main villain) tho. <<less

I just want to say I love how unserious these characters are, they're unique on their own way 🤣

My fave ofc Rosie! I can't predict the words that will come out of her mouth lmao. She's an expert at making one blood boil with innocent face. I also love that she know how to love herself and others arround her and show it with words and action

Zahid x Rosie romance is also refreshing without unnecessary misunderstanding

If you like found family story with smart and lovable FL. I recommed you to... more>> read this, trust me this one is gem! <<less

Just finished Part 1 and have gotten partway into Part 2! I'm loving it so far, but I'm finding myself struggling with a 9-year time skip in which nothing happened except everyone got older. I'm hoping that as I get further along more is revealed about the lost time.

Rosie continually mentioning that all she did for those years was "eat and play" is driving me insane to the point where I'm going to take a hiatus from reading this for a while. You know the world is ending and you're... more>> locked up in one of the world's greatest information centers, but you did... nothing???? And you keep saying that like you're proud of it?? Erghghghgh. Time to take a break. <<less
