Not quite unreadable but close. Very confusing and rather pretentious tale. The sacrifice doesn't come across as a believable character. Of all the characters, only her sister comes across as real in her motivations and role in the story. The author makes the country and its people one of the characters as well unfortunately there's so much left out that it just adds to the confusion.
