I opened my eyes to find myself reborn as a dragon.

Inside the nest where the law of the jungle prevails, as the weakest and most insignificant dragon hatchling.

To survive, I must escape the nest safely!

…or so I thought.

“If you show even the slightest sign of aggression or attempt to harm a human, I will kill you. Do you agree?”

Discovered by Kaelus, a dragon knight and duke who despises dragons, I was marked as a dangerous specimen.

So now, the only option left was…

“Yip! Yip!”

The desperate, pitiful little puppy strategy!

And so began conditional confinement… no, cohabitation.

I was just acting cute to win his favor,

“Do you like it?”

“……My chest?”

“That too. And how you feel about me.”

Somehow, it seems Kaelus has come to like me!

*

“Kremlis.”

The voice calling out was familiar.

My instincts sounded an alarm. I forced my stiff neck to turn.

“……!”

I recognized him immediately.

There couldn’t be two faces that beautiful in the world.

It was him. The man who tried to kill me off that cliff.

His dark gray eyes glowed vividly even in the darkness. He skillfully parried the blade and thrust his sword into the opponent’s chest.

The man who swung his sword to wipe away the blood turned his head around.

Our eyes met.

“…….”

That day.

The premonition I felt on the cliff was shining even more intensely than before.

It was ‘fate’.

A refreshing story in terms of plot. The mystery is moderate and creates suspense. I'm a huge dragon fan, so I especially like the protagonist. I was afraid the story would take a turn that was too "cute" or "adorable" for what a dragon is in my imagination, but surprisingly, there's a good balance between endearingness and the majesty inherent in a dragon (although I would have preferred him to be more "cool" and less "cute, " but he went that way). The negative point is undoubtedly the romance. I... more>> could swear that two rocks placed next to each other have more chemistry than the MC and the ML. They both work perfectly well separately, but I find it very difficult to see them together as a couple. Especially since the MC seems obsessed, FOR NO APPARENT REASON OR MOTIVE, with the ML, who constantly rejects him.

Spoiler

So, the MC says he's in love with the ML around chapter 53, and all I could think was, "When did that happen?" There was literally no reason for him to love the ML, who treated him badly from the very beginning. He literally killed his father (even though the MC didn't get along with his dragon family, his father still saved him from death in the end). Not to mention that he spent a lot of time having nightmares about the ML, terrified that he would appear and kill him. But they met again, and even then the ML treated him worse than an insect, but inexplicably, the MC wanted to be with him at all costs—he even suddenly liked him! What kind of forced romance is this? Without a doubt, in terms of romance, the novel leaves much to be desired

[collapse]

Regarding the ML, I think he's very well-developed, even better than the MC. He stays true to his feelings and traumas, but he's not stagnant; he's capable of slowly recognizing his own flaws, although it takes him time.

As for the MC, I think he's the best example of a wasted character. He had potential, clear goals, and traumas, and he acted accordingly with subtle hints of development. However, everything fell apart after he met the ML again, as if most of his personality, traumas, and difficulties ceased to exist so he could dedicate himself full-time to the ML. I can't take his feelings or actions seriously because they become increasingly forced, as if the author was desperate to write romance but didn't know how to achieve it, so he simply forced it.
