About three years ago, mysterious gates known as Dungeon Gates suddenly appeared all over the world. Those who entered the dungeons were endowed with special abilities called “Gifts” and gained the power to battle the monsters roaming within.

In a corner of the indisputable tourist city, Kyoto, lives a 34-year-old former corporate worker named Takayoshi Onda. He became unemployed simultaneously with the collapse of his company. Lost and seeking employment, Onda found a poster at the “Hello Work” office recruiting explorers.

“Why not give it a try, becoming an explorer.”

With that thought, Onda quickly obtained an explorer’s license and headed to the Kameoka Dungeon. Eventually, Onda’s name would become renowned as a front-line explorer in dungeon exploration, wielding the Gift of the “Qualification Master.”
