This story is kind of messy and dump in a bad way, trying to subverse expectation but nothing is showed as a twist or plot line. Relying on the "true love " as the baseline to build up the story but show nothing to prove it, won't reccomment if you like to think about what you just read

That was quite cute, enjoyable and pretty well wrapped up in a one shot. The author did a very nice job of subverting the broken engagement trope in a fun way. What's more this is the first time I have seen it done in this manner so I have to give points for novelty.

The characters are fun if a little less than fleshed out. The MC is very much in the cute side. The ML is fun but when he's alone with the MC after this scene,... more>> she's going to hit him big time.

The only thing that stops this from being a five star, is that there is no gut punch for the condemnation. It was just too bland.

Since it's a very short one-shot, you don't really get the chance to invest in the characters. The plot itself is all over the place and forced onto the reader. To summarize, you get slapped in the face with background info and some dialogue, and then the story is over. Mainly, the whole story in general feels like a means to an end. Like, there's no creative or original turn of events, but it's a decent skim-over for something in this genre.

Pretty s*upid, to be honest. Wasn't like it was some shocking ending. Could guess what was going to happen. Kinda pointless.

Ok, I could I understand why the prince wanted to break the engagement but could he do it in private, not in the middle of the party? Because it must be so humiliating for MC.

this oneshot has a sweet ending and heals my heart to read this one and if you want to read something similar like this one I suggest the 'Though I May Be a Villainess, I'll Show You I Can Obtain Happiness!' manga where villainess is happy at the end like the title suggests

No white lotus& happy ending

This is an old romantic vibe story, might not be the cup of tea for some because hella dubious. But, the story stems from a nice wholesome thought that got messily drowned by the usually tropes.

Its rare to read something like that these days. Things used to be simple, so why cant there be a rest for all the drama 😂

Corrine's the rare type of heroine to see these days... there should be more like her... The capture targets must've felt pathetic, I simply skimmed over their background stories of "darkness". Even if I expected that ending, and it was pretty awful of the prince to make her feel despair first and pause dramatically (maybe to catch what the other capture targets would say?) before saying what he truly means, I still liked it. Not a "I love this so much let's reread this 5 more times" kind of like,... more>> but a " Yay, happy ending! That was nice." Kind of like. <<less

It's refreshing that the original FL is not a villainess but the prince is seriously brain dead. No, I mean, overly dramatic. I want to give it a 5 but thanks to the annoying and cringy ML, I can only give it a 2. Sorry! *Ugh, I wanna barf*
