as soon as ML left on an expedition FL meets different men and the interactions are just weird. Author makes it seem like they would have fallen in love with her and it could have easily become harem

ALSO this is the unrealistic aspect that can sometimes be ignored if the plot is good but not for this story. FL is 14 and suddenly one day wakes up and is completely different from before. This is ancient times, isn't the first though that she's possessed by a ghost?

Dropped after jumping chapters here and there. I think with some refinement this book could actually be good. But too bad the author seemed to drag out unnecessary scenes making it a chore to read.

Basically our FL is a glutton, a foodie. She likes to laze around but she isn’t lazy. She’s smart enough to know how to do business and how to outsmart people. However, she is also kinda carefree at the same time. She just doesn’t care about things, she does her best to make her life easy... more>> to eat a lot but she won’t use energy to scheme against people.

ML on the other hand is a cold domineering general who gets the ability to read minds. He is always so shocked by FL’s funny thoughts and cannot understand her weird mindset that thinks about food a lot and doesn’t care much about reputation and all that.

So our FL is schemed by some rich brat and her engagement to the top scholar is ruined because he saw her in the arms of another man. He thinks she’s a sl*t but our FL was actually pushed into the arms of the ML.

Our ML then comes to propose marriage to FL. I honestly don’t get this part. So ML proposes marriage to FL to save her reputation but then he also wants to cancel the engagement after that. Our FL has prophetic dreams and he knows the ML is going to cancel the engagement so she pretends to be shameless to make the ML cancel it.

FL plans to sell items to earn money and then live by herself and her maid. After all she is just the fake daughter and upon the arrival of the real daughter, her family ruthlessly abandons her and schemes against her.

ML starts to be able to read thoughts and he’s so shocked when he listens to FL’s crazy inner self. He thinks she’s interesting and finds out about her prophetic dreams. He then goes forward with the marriage with her. It’s like a contract marriage that they both agree on.

So far so good right? The problem with this novel is despite the interesting plot, the author doesn’t know how to write it well. Too many nonsense filler moments are included in the story making it super draggy.

Minor characters are also suddenly gone from the story once their purpose is used like the real daughter who initially popped up to try to steal the ML away but failed. After FL marries, her Jiang family isn’t mentioned anymore.

Characters like two rich brats who insist on marrying the ML as concubines to try and win over his heart are also just appearing once in a while in the story to make some conflict happen. However our FL honestly doesn’t care about the concubines so the conflict falls flat.

This story could’ve been great but the dragginess of it made me drop it.

The ML and FL doesn’t instantly fall in love with each other. Its a gradual progression and I would’ve loved reading about it but the boringness of the story made me unable to continue. <<less

This novel was not the worst I read, but definitely one of the novels that has the most bad written characters!

The female lead character is not likeable for me at all. She Always Eat! Literally she eats 24\24 if not sleeping, and sleep if not eat! And that's it!
You coulde just imagen someone who eats nonstop, nonstop drooll over food, how disgusting this! But the author made this asbect is the most cute in the female lead!
It really get me tired and disgusting as I watch the femal lead eat while seatting, eat while waking, eat every where! You may thing I'm exaggrating this, but if you read it you'll find that it's not me, but the FL who really NEVER close her mouth from eating! Well, exept when she is sleeping! She has a bottomless stomach, and every animale she sees is a food for her, which made me think of the saying "her stomach is grave of animales"!

And there is sooo many men fall in love with her for no reason! Even the Emperor did fall in love with her and keeps going out of the Palace just to stalk her from far and watch his beloved woman whom he cant have now!

And there is this Young (Little) Prince who like to jump over other people houses' walls. Really don't know what to say about such character where the author worked hard to make it appear lovely too!
The first encouter between him and the FL was...... He for No reason jump over her house wall, she was living alone at the time and she didn't find this abnormall at all, she wasn't even warry of this strange man who suddenly show up over her wall, she got to chat with him like they were old friends!

Please author, even if the FL was young before coming to this world, she was 18!!! She should know and understand these things and how to protact herself, but she is NOT!

The Prince keeps come to jumping over the wall and she keeps welcoming him!

The other cannon-fooder female leads are all brain-less!
Well, literaly every character here is brain-less!!

I have many many many fults to find, but to lazy to write more 😁
The only thing that I really like is that the male lead can here other pepole' inner voices 👍
