Good read.

Kind of gets annoyingly repetitive on the whole "getting misunderstood as a pe*vert" scenario though, so I skimmed through those parts.

An interesting novel. A backbone of it is the familiar harem setting mixed in with "school life" hijinks.

The novel isn't about innovating new things or creating scenarios that make you remember it as being it's own formula, but what it does do is avoid mistakes such as getting too heavily bogged down in any one subsection. There's always a mix of humor, fanservice, school life (albeit sparingly in the last few volumes) and action, even the author's style of consistently end on cliffhangers, making sure to stabilize only a... more>> part of the major underlying plot.

That said, some parts do delve pretty heavily into fanservice and the narrative DOES get slow down due to it at times.A number of the major plot details are foreshadowed a bit too strongly for my liking as well (though this is subjective).

Frankly, the overall package is best described as... "solid". Give it a whirl, stick with it for at least a volume, if at the end of that volume the storyline doesn't appeal, then I suggest dropping it because the same core style of events unfolding repeats in every volume thereafter. <<less

goody 2 shoes virg*n MC that is in an ambiguous relationship with 20 different girl but he gets bewildered when some of them get mad when they see him definitely not flirting around with them.. Bleah. Also one of the worst main heroines of all time, Claire is so f*cking annoying, or tbh all the heroines are annoying, the only purpose they serve is to make the MC sacrifice himself to save them over and over and OVER again, the guy has some kind of injury on him from start... more>> to finish, its such f*cking lazy writing and when he gets a powerup it gets retconned next volume, f*ck off. Powerlevels are beyond ret*rded, the members of his team are supposed to be extreme geniuses but 99% of their fights are the whole team dogging on a single opponent, its complete bullshit. The fights are extremely tr*sh, almost no details at all. For all the hype he got a strong 'bLAdE DaNcER' the novel doesn't give a f*ck about showcasing it at all, at most there's a "And then the MC jumped with a wonderful arc and then slashed overhead to defeat the enemy!!!!". MC is a world class assassin even before his spirit contract and yet when he can't use his spirit he can't even lift his f*cking hands to punch someone, why tf doesn't this dude just pick up af*cking sword? That's all he uses his spirit for anyway

cliche of MC fainting after every fight (LITERALLY every fight).. Way too overdone. Also the fact that every enemy screams out his 'hidden' identity name and no one from his team notices or even when they do they brush it off is pretty hilarious. Strong to stronger my f*cking asscheeks, he needs to 5v1 every enemy, he's weak as shit. The blade dance competition was also hot tr*sh, why the actual f*ck did they make them do a battle royal? Wtf is this author thinking, let's not forget about every enemy having their brain rewired after losing, literally every enemy becomes a friend after losing. Killed thousands of people, made almost all of his companions die, made him succumb to darkness but nah it's all fine <<less

Get your mix of fan service and action fights here! We once again get the "Only male in the world!" treatment in this novel, where our MC is the only male to be able to contract spirits.. Doesn't deter from the fact that hes a badass MC who's nicknamed demon kind of the night..

Anyways we watch our male spiritualist be single and ready to mingle with a bunch of female spiritualists of nobility! Whooho! Waifus get!

My first harem novel and the first time always the most memorable. It was quite good the first time I read it. As time went by I have red many more harem books but this still quite a solid one. The story is engaging and not just focused plainly on the romance, even though the romance part is quite generic though for Japanese novel anyway. I generally like Harem book written by Chinese authors more than Japanese because of the uh cliche dumb main character.

Alright Guys After Reading it to the latest Chapter I realized I fell in love with this series. The whole misunderstanding szenes are making it sometimes kinda hard to ensure but the story is just to good to not read!!

The fights are super cool as well, but the story is so exciting and well made that I can't wait until the next volume is out. One of the best stories I ever read 10/10

I had started reading this a while ago, back when there were only 10 volumes available. It was one of my favourite stories. But then, in hindsight, it isn't as great as I thought. Because back then, I was discovering japanese light novels.

-For someone who was supposed to be both the strongest assassin and the strongest blade dancer (and the reincarnation of the demon lord!!!), the protagonist is underwhelming. It was okay at the start because he was a little out of shape, but it kept going on.

-His relationships with... more>> the other girls has barely advanced after more than 10 volumes, and he is still an indecisive blushing mess when he should be used to skinship and lack of clothes with girls. The annoying harem story where the harem is getting nowhere.

-The girls are supposed to be quite skilled, but they can't seem to be able to hold their own against rivals without the protagonist providing some kind of support.

The plot is decent with the fight scenes being well written. Overall it is an easy read albeit pretty long since it took me a week to read it through. I would have rated this as a 4 maybe a 4.5 if possible had it not been for the MC.

Kamito (The Protagonist) is emotionally weak with women. Stammering with just being hugged by another woman. The heroines start off like this, however, they slowly mature with time while coming to terms with a feeling they never knew existed (Due to... more>> their Sheltered upbringing).

This MC that basically stays Romantically indecisive till the end wakes up to a naked spirit almost every day for a year. Yet this man has the nerve to be surprised every time that it happens. You would think that this daily situation would help him mature even remotely in regards to women yet it never happens. The MC is asked as to who he loves or would like to marry 3/4ths through this 20 volume light novel. However, his only response is to blush immensely and scream like a child thinking that he would get cooties. Had he matured in this regard then I would have rated it much higher.

OP, Well developed, Long, and Attractive novel.

Your MC is a lucky pe*vert, , with proper attitude and mind xD. Typical jap MC> If you are a OPness and romance subplot fan and have no problem with HAREM, you will love this as much as I did. (Maybe More) Though I dunno if anyone can love it more than I did. Hehe, I binge read this whole thing.. Man ! That was a good ride.

The Story is Very Good for those that likes the Solo male Fantasy Novel

The Plot is quite understandable and quite easy to follow though quite a bit long

But still, this Novel is 5/5 for me

The anime was cringe but the novel is even worse. The overuse of tropes annoys me. Only read if you're very very bored and have lost everything else to read.

The battle scenes can be written well so obviously this could have been better but I'm out.

I am absolutely in love with this novel. Great story plot, character developments, and etc. This has to be one of the best novel I have ever read in my long list of reading novels. Not reading this novel is a biggest regret can be committed in one's life. Well, if you don't like harem thing, don't bother.
