Not a bad story per se, but little things I don't like keep adding up.

First, a brief summary of what the story is about since the blurb is worthless. Basically MC transmigrates into a game as a mob character that has hundreds of death flags, most of them coming from his half-sister who happens to be a reincarnation of past hero. Now he wants to survive. It's a fantasy setting with a few high-tech elements. Pretty solid overall, but also very generic.

Now, what I don't like about it.

  • the beginning of the story s**ked (I almost dropped in the first 10 chapters, it was boring and vaguely unenjoyable)
  • poor transition (I often was left wondering "eh, the arc is over?" and "what the hell is going on?" I.e. author tends to skip concluding events properly and immediately transitions to the next arc, often using alternate character POV, which is quite confusing, as if you suddenly were reading a different story)
  • some plot holes (author forgets some things, e.g. X doesn't know or doesn't remember Y at first, but when X appears in the story again later, he somehow remembers or knows Y very well)
  • the author sucks at linking the story to s*x scenes
  • the protagonist pretending to be a Chad, but being a beta instead
The second-last point is annoying because it... more>> honestly feels like the sex-scenes are like a fanfic or a side story. The first one was the worst so far because protagonist's brain turned off, and he turned into a hentai protagonist without personality, and the best part is, he completely didn't even react or think about what happened later. Literally as if that scene had never happened.

But I hate the last point in particular. The MC acts like a chad, with a strong personality and not being a pushover, but... firstly, he completely turns into a pushover when his childhood friend is mentioned (I can just feel he'll be a total loser and a doormat when she arrives, and I hate it), and secondly, he keeps doing pushover beta things. E.g. when it comes to the second s*x scene

Spoiler

he got f*cking knocked out by the h**ny girl, but he's totally fine with it; yes, perfectly normal phenomenon, and there's no need to establish any boundaries

[collapse]

Long story short, the author is completely f*cking clueless about how relationships work and/or his mind was taken over by h**ny, so there's more and more questionable sh*t happening when it comes to the harem, and I can't read it anymore. Not only is it frustrating, but I am also more and more concerned how much worse it will get. I suspect it will get worse and worse with further harem progression, to be exact, and I don't want to poison my mind with that kind of beta, pushover crap.

TLDR: not a bad story, but it's generic and laden with some issues, especially in terms of poorly flow of the story and questionable harem developments <<less

This was pretty boring, considering how I forgot most of it in like 5 days so I might be incorrect on some of the things.

So MC transmigrates into a game and his sister (not related by blood) is a reincarnation of a legendary hero 500 years ago. So she died and came back 500 years after and the world has magic, swords, and fantasy stuff like that. I’ll say this, the novel isn’t bad or good, it’s just pretty boring. Like it felt so much like other possessing “young master”... more>> that is worthless novels. You have stuff like battle or trial ceremonies whatever they’re called and other stuff that I’ve forgot. And I don’t think there’s in*est but the comments on noblemtl says otherwise.

Overall there’s not much to say bout this, I dropped it for now since the comments made me not want to read it anymore. But you can give it a try. <<less

Felt like a fever dream to read :

  • MC reincarnates into a game a world as a kid, proceeds to act like one... He also kills monsters and is even ready to kill people. He comes off as a socially weird psychopath.
  • Characters around him don't question his behaviour, while he's supposedly 10 years old, making me feel a disconnect when reading.
The only good thing is the pretty nice art.

Pretty good characterization, decent action (with occasional high points), interesting situations and tension-building, topped off with good descriptions, slow pacing but a really nice 7 out of 10. (Would have easily been an 8 if the pacing was a bit better). This is not some groundbreaking piece of literature, its decent. And you know what? Thats all it needs to be. The story can be a bit slow and meandering sometimes making you feel that the author should just get on with the plot, but there definitely is plot worth... more>> reading here. And its a hell lot better than the other tr*sh that seem to populate the highest ranks of NU series rankings.

There are no plotholes (mostly because the novel doesnt even attempt something outlandish, which is fine if a bit lacking in excitement), there is a plausible reason given for his transmigration too, he didnt just 'happen' to look like the character, the character was designed based on him. Rather than a step into the unknown this is more a refinement of already existing novel tropes but packaged quite good. Its not boring per-se tho the starting of the novel does lack the tension, its a slow but fair ramp to the 'succession ceremony' and the novel really starts from there. From what ive seen and heard it also does have decent romance and harem with giving ample time for each character's development. There is no in*est (realistically speaking, tho I sure wish there was).

Its an interesting world btw, strength is not gained via level ups but entirely via skills (occasionally) and items and companions. And the strength of enemies scales with a hidden variable which the player *can* manipulate to an extent using very deliberate actions. But there are some creative uses of power that the MC in this novel takes full advantage of. And he is living with a game system despite not having any interface access to it.

Anyways, a fair novel to check out. <<less

Quite the decent novel with decent translation. Characters and side characters aren't one dimensional and world building is quite decent too as of now (ch 60) . The only downside is korean repetition of "transmigration into game" Cliche however the execution is done fine by author.

Overall a decent read and will recommend it.

Terrible story. Plot holes everywhere. Leaps in logic. Constant perspective shifts even during the middle of characters conversation. It's possible the translation is m tl. Some mistakes in gender which add to the confusion on whos talking.

The author never does anything notable with his characters. The opposite happens. The author fills up half a chapter with a tangent by character. Which just repeats the same thing over and over. Relying on your empathy to entertain you. Woo hoo pity me I'm too jealous.

Padding is to be expected of webnovels where... more>> each chapter means more money. But that only works if there is substance. Which this doesn't have.

And oh there is in*est (cousin). Which is one of the leaps in logic. Woohoo this world is advanced enough to have logistics built around air travel. Yet somehow biology studies haven't touched anything reproduction wise. Despite strong characters in this world being able to see internally. <<less

A decent if not interesting one, but why the review are so misleading, I was expect to see the MC in a noble settings, not in a demon dungeon lol, interaction between character are quite enjoyable, don't even know if MC and FL is blood related thou. In the concept they reborn as hero's descendant but the true hero never experience love let alone have a child. Many misleading review out here, new people should give it a try at least, it is unique compare to those transmitted novel out... more>> there <<less

Just a good story.

It doesn't perform best at something, just well in general. So small summary:

Story is about a guy that transmigrated to game, there's no system or forcing power to a plot. It's just a story about him and his journey. There's multiple pov shifts between main characters, romance btw is very slow paced and not a platonic, so it have some optional nsfw chapters. There's no power indicator that matters and action is easy to understand. The harem aspect is so little that I would call it least... more>> harem influenced novel I've ever read

Give it a try <<less
