Maybe I had great expectations from this novel so I was really disappointed after reading it.

Reborn MC is op. I mean first of all her family either be her mom's or dad's are one of the great forces in whole country so even without moving her hands she can easily take revenge. Her family is like really invicible. Her mom's family have top entertainment businesses and dad's family are both in army and buisness. Even her grandmother is some underground organization boss and MC can inherit it. MC opens her... more>> own buisness and aslo opens a jewelry shop by becoming it's jewelry designer (if you are thinking that she took some course for it then you are wrong, she just used do it in her free time in her last life). She becomes 1st tire actress with in less than one year (by that time she only took only one film). She tries to reduce the casualties in an earthquake by giving a notice to government and buys food and other necessities before the earthquake. Even after doing all this she still feels guilty because she thinks that she can do much better. Here I think that author didn't maintain her character. From the start they showed us the FL who was a queen like existence and all but suddenly author was like "oh no... our perfect queen should also have some compassion so tada let's add this scene". Our MC sings a song for this incident in some charity function and then some people says that MC should become singer then she is like ok let's do a concert and starts writing her own songs. when she did all this she was still 17 years

When the author tells us about the ML thoughts like how he thinks MC as queen who is a perfect and unique being in the whole world and no one worthy of her. ML thinks himself as a knight of MC. I was like " oh boy... he is living in a Princess story". Author described MC as a queen who is above every one but I think it is more like a 17 years 2nd generation brat who is arrogant. Her thinking is kind of weird when it comes to ml. One incident during her 18th birthday party, her whole family surprises by engaging her with the ML who just returned from army. MC feels betrayed because her family can do this kind of surprise since they are doing it for her happiness but how can ML can do this behind her back like coming out of army without informing her and setting up an engagement. Another incident where she has to go for a mission which can be dangerous and ML says he go with her otherwise he will go crazy without knowing her safety and MC fires up saying how dare he blackmail her saying like that and doubting her abilities (she thinks that her family can say such things because they are worried about her but ML can't). Instead of saying that she is behaving like a queen in front of ML we can say she throwing tantrum like a brat.

I was expecting something else when they said that ML is M but it was another disappointment. I thought MC will be on top and will do some *ahem things but no there was nothing like that. Even their first time was disappointing which they did because of drugs. And as soon as ML realised he did that to MC due to drugs, he decides to kill himself which was not one of the reactions I thought he will give. MC gets pregnant when just after turning 18 or 19 which I think one of the Annoying things which c authors do. I mean like that is best age as a youth but they are making them mother.

Even taking revenge was not satisfying. Some times where she doesn't give face to the people whom she doesn't like and talks whatever just because she has backing of her family shows that she is like a brat instead of a queen. One where the ml's step brother greets the MC politely but MC is like " don't go after ML or I will kill you and your whole family". Man at least look at the situation and talk. I know author is trying to make her like a queen who doesn't need to be polite with enemies and can be straightforward but it doesn't give queen like vibe. <<less

I think the only people who will give this a 1 star rating are those with misogynistic views. The female MC is the decision maker of the family and maintains this power imbalance with ML until the end. She maximizes her rebirth and she's richer and has more connections than ML. The dynamics of this couple is one of my favorite relationships in CN novels. This has opened up my eyes to this trope of Sadism-Masochisim. The romance is... more>> great - the kisses were not described with metaphors and definitely not written with flowery words, but they are HOT. I only have praises for how the characters have their own individuality. This author has a niche for cold domineering detached female MC and she/he does a good job at the characterization.

However, there are definitely some bad aspects in this story. There's a chapter with sexist remarks and another with racist remarks. While MC has this strong personality, the character is already complete and it is established that she stands above the common people so the racist and sexist remarks are VERY UNNECESSARY. The acting parts are also quite long and take up a big chunk of the novel.

If you can forgive the author for having such narrow views (the remarks only appear on 3 chapters), then please go ahead and read this one. It's a really great story. <<less

id say it deserves a 3.5, not a 4 because the author did not polish this story well. As much as I loved the concept of an FL who is in a higher position than the ML in terms of status/wealth/power, I do admit that due to the execution of authors writing it's very easy to either really like this or really really dislike this.

it has both advantages and disadvantages example;

  • Loyal dog ML and OP FL
  • cute family interactions
  • watch how the FL reaches great heights again in the entertainment industry and venture out on a higher scale in her second life.
  • couple growth
  • badass MC
  • interesting plot

In fact, had the novel not have convinced me that the ML truly has a masochistic and submissive character deep into his bones (the guy gets turn-on when he's beaten or when she acts all DOM with him) I don't think I could have continued the novel in the beginning. However, I do admit the ML's SUB and 'little M' characteristics intrigued me a lot and although overall I wasn't satisfied with the FL's dom the ML played his part perfectly as a little M.

surprisingly despite the MC and ML have such 'interesting' characteristics their romance is more on the dull side. It's definitely cute and they have quite some kisses but for DOM/S and SUB/M protagonists this part was not written very well to the point where I felt bad for the ML and his 'little M' mentality.

It's just as the tag says, strong to stronger. Whether it was her second life or first she was undeniably powerful only that in her second life she put more attention to gathering her own private forces and gathering assets. I was dissatisfied as the detailing of the authors work is poor and a lot of things are let out or not explored more.

it's not particularly memorable apart from the fact that the ML is a hardcore SUB/M. I don't regret reading it for sure but for people who can't stand OP FL you might not enjoy it, however, her OP'ness is understandable as it's just that her family background is so awesome not to mention her own abilities and talents. <<less

then the first would get a 3.8 out of 5 from me and the second would get a 2 out of 5 stars.

A lot of the story really dragged on for me, especially the middle, but the ending was nice, which brought my rating up.

The MC and ML have a master / servant, queen / knight, owner / pet dynamic in a kind of pre-bd*m relationship. The relationship progression is mostly the MC coming to love the ML and her making the ML realize that he's allowed to be with her. ML is kind of s*upid when it comes to the MC, and gives her his absolute obedience. If left to his own devices he would literally just quit his job and follow her around 24/7. Would've liked to see more relationship / character development on his end.

At first I was rather interested in the MC and ML's characters, because while they had cold attitudes they actually treated people who didn't offend them nicely and made actual friends, and even did generous things. I thought it was an interesting counterpart to a lot of the cold, arrogant characters you see in Cnovels who are powerful and cool but don't have a lot (or any) friends.

But then

the tour of the world to meet with the crime bosses came around and they win 20 actual s*aves from a diamond mine in a bet??? And she feels a bit of pity for them but what the actual f*ck she keeps them and is like 'oh I'll send them to my secret crime organization, they'll have better lives there'. And then she thinks about getting cheaper diamonds for her jewelry store from the african mine. Like, maybe I misunderstood something because I MTL'd this, but WTF. I personally find this, and all the other mingling she did with the crime bosses, disgusting. Might have been less opposed if I had realized that this was going down a true crime route sooner, or if it had been taken further rather than as some kind of side note.

I personally felt that this was at odds with her 'benevolent unless offended' personality, but I guess my thoughts were off.

This story is straight domination from the MC, as after her rebirth she never seems to make any kind of mistake, have anything to learn (except how to love), or have any kind of enemy that is hard to deal with.

The biggest obstacle she comes across is probably from her own family? Not that they want to hurt her, they just treat her like a child or want her to get married early

to the point that they surprise announce her engagement to the ML at her birthday party, not to mention setting her and the ML up with some aphrodisiac wine later on! Glad to see that the only consequences they faced was the smallest of complaints from the MC :)

With her money, family connections, and 10 years of future experience, the MC basically just needs to go through the motions to win at life, and that's the biggest failure of this story.

She always has the upper hand and even when she works hard it doesn't actually feel like she's going through any hardships.

If this was a pure romance story this would be okay, because the story and conflict would revolve around the romance. However, the author added too many extra elements that turned this into a boring power fantasy.

If we say that the conflict is centered around the romance, then it's not developed enough. ML has absolute obedience to the MC, which could have led to some really interesting conflict, but the author just left it at 'he's a total wife s*ave and that's fine, cause he has the MC who loves him and makes sure he goes to work and actually does stuff'.

This story has some very interesting concepts that are taken too far or not far enough, with plot lines that aren't perfectly melded. It had the potential to be an interesting story, and it was in some parts, but the execution mostly fell flat. <<less

hm if it is not for the fact that the ML that is totally a devoted dog to the FL instead of the FL towards the ML I might drop this novel. for real, why the author has to project the ML to be overly insecure and even willing act as a servant by bowing down, kneeling, etc to the FL? I mean what's wrong with the equality?

I'm glad that I've been part of this story's wonderful journey. (●´∀｀●) the combination of a dominant FL and submissive ML is truly unique.. （・∀・）I love how FL proves her love for ML every time ML shows his insecurity. (｡♥‿♥｡) I esp like how ML takes care of FL.... their love is not passionate as fire, but warm as the water in the ocean. ～ (^з^) -♡ I love their child, Xiaowu -- cute, sunny, silly, behaved, sensible, cunning and smart baby. ┗ (＾0＾) ┓I just hope that Li Angyu... more>> will have the courage to pursue Aunt Luo. And, I hope there were more fanwai about Xiaowu.. (=①ω①=)

I like this type of relationship between FL and ML as it is so different from usual. The ML is a yandere that had completely surrendered to the FL without the morbid possessiveness. And the FL is a cold princess immortal type which makes for a little bit boring story. There are obstacles but no struggles as the FL is so powerful I think it has to do with how the story is written. It looks more like a checklist of things to accomplish than a novel. However... more>> I love reading about the intersections both leads.

I skipped so many chapters to complete the novel but didn't feel I missed anything. <<less
